Probably not the best choice, which was proven when he screwed up as host of the 2015 Miss Universe Pageant.

The show’s been airing since 1976 but Steve Harvey has been the best host of it that I’ve seen hands down.
Dryalga 100% percent correct the host always makes these types of shows successes or failures
In Steve's defense, the judges were REALLY generous with their interpretation on some of those answers.
i know right. "long" pants was obviously the wrong answer. Pants would of been the correct one.

I guess they have a rule that the specific does match the general.
A nekkid grandma is one (very) specific type of occupant.
Yeah, they really stretch some of these points.
I think they also take advantage of Steve's reaction, if he goes off on the contestant and they know they can get away with a technicality they'll give it to them just to get a reaction out of Steve

Neither did Bob Barker's on TPIR when he had two moments like this: the first was in 2005, when a contestant named Brenton revealed the answer prematurely in Flip Flop (Bob said, first, "I'm going home!," and then, "I am not gonna stay on the stage with this troublemaker!").
The other was in 2006, when a contestant named Joy who was playing 10 Chances used all manner of guesses on all three prizes, with Bob scolding her more impatiently each time, until Joy eventually won the car, leaving Bob in as much stunned disbelief as Steve here (Bob sat on the corner of the game set, silently mouthing in disgust, before speaking into the mic simply to throw to commercial).
I can never get tired of that one:

It might be head canon, but it’s not true. It’s a felony to rig a game show, and changing the answers after the fact would qualify as rigging.
