I am glad to hear though that the rest of your experience was top notch. I got a kick out of Paul's tale of the man who parked himself right beside him on the pool deck. It reminds me of when I park way away from a store entrance with no one around me and some guy parks his big old pick up truck right beside me even though there were dozens upon dozens of other spots to park in. LOL I am looking forward to seeing how the rest of your trip went.

I could relate to the sunbed experience. Sometimes I can park in a carpark that almost empty and when I return to my car, there's someone parked right next to me!! Unbelievable.
It's a shame about the guest relations team on our cruise, however the rest of the cruise was great. We are back on Azamara Onward in November for our replacement cruise so will be interesting to see how that goes!

Azamara Quest was amazing in 2020. Yes, it's dated in the rooms and bathrooms are small. No wow factor whatsoever. The ship is beautiful, service, food and staff. You can understand the small rooms and bathrooms- it's fine because of everything else. However, you cannot dismiss the horrible service in customer relations that you received. It's beyond bad - It is an absolute nightmare
To be lied to is awful. I hope you are going to get a refund. Blatant lying like that is awful. I don’t enjoy silver service dining because I don’t eat very much, would much prefer a smorgasbord.
When you say the cabin had "two inches of water" do you mean that the water intruding two inches from the sliding glass door into the room? That is all it I could see in the video. It would have been nice if they granted your request to be upgraded to a more expensive cabin but I would have been fine with them drying the carpet out. Sounds like they could have been nicer speaking with you though even if they didn't upgrade you.
No, they didn't give us anything, not even an apology for our inconvenience! Since we have been home, the shoreside team has gotten involved, and we have now been given a replacement cruise, which we are taking at the end of November.

The new owners are in deep debt.They will cut back on maintenance such as these door seals.They are likely all rotted out to some degree.Who knows what else is hidden??Older shops are like older cars.
The sunchair incident you describe happens all to often unfortunately. I never get it when some guy decides to park it right next to you when there are a whole bunch of chairs available everywhere. The only explanation I think of is they are gay and hoping to hook up. You never see single women parking it right next to you, they always get a chair away from others.
Terrible, poor maintnance and diabolical service. I will never go near Azamara when there are plenty of good cruise lines available. I did the crossing of the line ceromony about 10 years ago with MSC going to Brazil and it was far more extreme that that one Julie avoided it as well. We crossed the line twice on our cruise this year and Cunard was quite mild as well.
I really wish you had filmed the guest relations people and manager as thru were speaking to you just for proof on film to send to their headquarters. That is just horrible! Lying to you about the raffle and telling you no upgrades were available when the ship was not even full? So sorry Carole got so upset. Glad you went to the Neptune ceremony and have good service otherwise. It looks so gross, though… Carole was the smart one to hold the camera! I’d love to know how many years you have been married.
I’m sorry, they booked a top grade balcony and they encountered a problem with the rain water etc. That does not entitle them them to a suite when comparable balcony cabin are available. Should a comparable balcony not have been available then yes, an upgrade would be the logical next step. I felt Carole and Paul were trying it on, so I have no sympathy.

No the whole end of the cabin was wet so not usable. They just handled the whole situation appallingly.

The equator ceremony was so much fun, LOL yes definitely the smart one holding the camera 😂😂. We have been married 20 years, together 28. 😍
