To optimize time I'm going to queue for roulette's and while in the queue to THEN do the daily beast tribe quests. I've also gotten right up to the rank promotion. I'll be able to do 3, rank up, then do 3 more then furthermore after daily reset be able to do 3 more (while in queue).
I plan on doing fates while waiting in dungeon queues. Dps queues are probably going to be really long if you don't have a tank and/or healer with you.
There is a quest in ShadowBringer that is worth 440k which is more than the endwalker lvl 80 ones, assuming you haven't finished that questline. But it's the one's after all of the class quests.

Side quests like these ones are a weird exception to the rule, you're able to turn them in on any job that meets the level requirement, and it doesn't care which one you were when you accepted it!
With friends, submit chloe x2 to get to 81, then do dungeons with your tank/healer friends to insta queue. Without friends, bozja. It’s just way faster and ignores the queue time and then you can hand in chloe whenever you want. Idk if the quest thing works cause I thought it’s whatever job accepts it that gets the exp but if works that’s cool too.
Side quests can be turned in on any job so long as you've completed them, HOWEVER their EXP scales down significantly. Turning in all of those quests (26) might earn you 1/4th of an EXP bar at lvl 80/81 and will only diminish from there.

It's gated behind a clear of floor 50 potd run though, which many don't really bother to do. But yes i agree, if you have access to EO, it is also a solid option for leveling up lvl 80+
That exp doesn't goes towards the job outside Eureka Orthos, EO has it's own levelling system. You will however get experience for every 10 set of floors you complete, but it should be equivalent to around a dungeon or two.
Can add Guildhests, FATEs, and Levequests from the challenge log as well. Do all 3 Levequests of 1(and only 1) gatherer job, do 1(and only 1) crafter Levequests 16 times, then on launch, do 1 combat Levequest as the job you want. Boom, you get the turn in for both “Do 5 different types of Levequests” and “Do 20 levequests” at once
I will do sch/smn first I mean did you see that fairy dress that came out of no where for SCH?😭 then will level up picto chan and then one of the tanks.
A quick mention to anyone that is disregarding Bozja because "80-90 is slower". You are right it is CURRENTLY slower because the Armory Bonus is of 50% on the last 10 levels of an expansion. However with the new expansion, this Armory Bonus gets increased, so it will be 100% up to level 90, and then from 90-100 it will be the new 50%

The other comments covered it, and I showed the amount of experience you would get if you turned them in at level 84. They go down to about 170k each if you're level 80, and up to 190k if you're level 90!

This isn't to say pictomancer is the most original thing or whatever, but I think it is interesting as a concept and the stuff they've shown looks like it could be quite fun.
Since I am going to go through Endwalker MSQ as Pictomancer, I will not be doing side-quests in those zones as Pictomancer will be Level 81 before I start the MSQ and she'll pick up all the MSQ so she will probably get to Level 91 as soon as she hits the final boss. However, I can do the side-quests on Viper since he will not be getting any of the roulettes early on and I want to focus on him too. ^_^
I decided to MSQ as BLM this time around just to get some mileage out of a glam I'm proud of so I'll probably use some of these to give RDM (my main) a little bump as soon as servers go back up and then just dive into MSQ. I think I'll really like Picto but I prefer to get a head start on getting MSQ done asap so I don't have to worry about spoilers as much

Yeahhhh, I've just got the habit now of saying it wrong after so many years lol Definitely turning in my side quests early though. The more I've thought about it (and thanks to some other comments) I think getting to 81 from the Side Quests and first Tribe quest is the best call.
I dont think you should wait until 89 to use the book. First because Level 80 to 81 is the worse: you have to do Lv 79 dungeons multiple times and get a very low amount of EXP from them (Unless you gonna do other type of stuff like the side quests etc) and Second because when you are Lv89 there is a Lv89 dungeon for you to do and it gives a good amount of EXP, it's actually the easiest level. The lowest amount of exp from dungeons comes from doing the dungeon 1 level lower than yours but not having enough level to do the next one, so for example, if you are Lv82 you can only do Lv81 dungeon and cannot do Lv83 dungeon yet. So I'd either use the books at Lv80 (if you dont have other sources of exp pre-farmed) or Lv88 to get to Lv89 and do the last EW dungeon.
I'm not sure level 80 to 81 is the worst especially if you use Zadnor ; it takes less than 2 minutes to move to a FATE, clear it and get back to the usual spot. Also, the quests stored as well as tribe quests will make it really quick.
This is the first expansion going in that I have NO idea what I want to main...which isn't a bad thing. I am leaning towards WHM with either DRG or VPR as my alt content jobs...and picto for fun...but now I want to play them all...heck.
The best part of FFXIV to me is that you CAN play them all! I love the job system, the only time it really becomes a problem is if you're trying to get BiS savage gear for all of them! Even then they've started to help make that a bit easier
Wanna add, there are a couple more challenge log entries that could be super worth the effort. Levemetes can be set up so you can get 30% off one from challenge logs and then ignore them after that. (19 leves, makes sure they have the same 4 panels) as well as an extra 10% from 1 Guildhest. Probably not worth it if there's actually a queue for this one, but not terrible if you can get in and get out quickly. FATEs will also reward a cool 30% for doing 10 of them, so while you're waiting for your Leveling queue to pop, go ahead and grind those out. You can do 4 in advance if you wanna be absolutely sure you finish these up. Between all turn-in and challenge logs (WT x2, FL roulette x2, Leveling roulette, dungeon logs, guildhest log, commend log, levemete logs, FATE logs, Arkasodara x9, Pixie x9, Gold quest x23) you're looking at roughly 7 levels worth of experience, I think? If you're scummy enough to do the quick Bozja strats for early levels, you could easily be ready to go like an hour or two after daily reset, I think. It's gonna be interesting seeing how fast I can try-hard the 80-90 level progression.
I plan on timing how long it takes, so I'll let you know know when I do! I haven't done the full math on how much EXP it'll be, but I'm guessing I'll be 86/87 no problem, and sprinkle in ~3 more dungeon runs and I should be level 90 pretty quick.

If you did all the turn ins and went straight for dungeon runs after, that’d be 3 Ktisis runs and 1 Aitiascope to finish, but more likely you’d sprinkle those dungeon runs earlier in the grind, particularly on odd-numbered levels as the exp doesn’t scale.

It all depends on what other's are doing for sure! I've got a Healer & Tank friend that will be joining me, and I know a few others that will be doing their roulettes on their off-jobs while doing the MSQ to level them up as well! If the queues are too long, ditch em and do something else!

Tip: you can pre-make a level 80 gearset for PCT/VPR, use a caster/NIN weapon. Then come launch just grab a weapon and equip it into the set. Doesn't save much time, but its a good confirmation you have all the required gear in your crate.
CLL in Bozja and Dalriada in Zadnor gives a LOT of exp, like 3-4million per run i think. With active instance (which i believe it will be in Dawntrail) it will pop every 25-30 minutes.
@@TenelenTheScrub I'm confused I thought min requirement to get into bozja was 71? Am I crazy ahahaha I didn't realize that when I asked the question but I guess I got my answers I'll just do Bozja from 80-85 and then dumb everything and pray I get 90
It's absolutely a good strategy, but I've done so much Bozja that it makes me go to sleep and I want to do something different this expansion. If you like doing Bozja, you should absolutely do it, but I believe it will start to scale off at around 85.
I'm not a big fan of the zone, probably just run it too much and lost interest on it lol These are just my plans that I'll be doing, and I think a lot of other creators covered Bojza!
@@omensoffate It falls off tremendously after 85/86. You need 8-10M exp for each level and Bozja or Zadnor fates only give out 300k exp. Yes they're fast but not *that fast* Castrum and Dalriada still give out huge chunks (in the millions) though, but they're only once an hour and take a bit to clear. From 80 to 85 though? Smash that, saves you the use of Khloe books for a bigger level.
Given the starting time of maintenance, Challenge Log entries are worthlessness to work on beforehand. Maintenence is on the 26th, which is Tuesday, starting at 2 AM PDT, the time of weekly reset.
Why would you not turn in the first WT on the 28th? You can pick up another that day and complete it then turn that one in at 88 after the reset tuesday and still get another. With your method, you lose a book unless you get to 88 before reset

When Dawntrail comes out, it's new to everyone, so it's a different situation. Some people might want to get ahead of the info so they can be part of discussions instead of having to basically avoid the internet for who knows how long.

Not sure why all these videos about getting to 90 and 100 ASAP are being posted. With only a couple hours of play a day you can have all jobs to 100 in under a few weeks ... and then complain you are out of content before savage content is released. Every expansion since HW has been the same.

At level 80 you get 170,000 EXP x 26 == 4,420,000 and to get to level 81 you need 5,992,000 EXP.
It'll get you ~70% of your first level!
make sure your doing both fae and the elephants tribe quest the fae still gives good exp

side quests are not libe tribe quests , you can pre complete them

You dont. They're placed randomly.
When you have up to 7/9 stickers you can spend 2 second chances to reroll their placements but that's about it.

Tip: you can pre-make a level 80 gearset for PCT/VPR, use a caster/NIN weapon. Then come launch just grab a weapon and equip it into the set.
Doesn't save much time, but its a good confirmation you have all the required gear in your crate.
Question - PST reset happens at 8am. All times zones reset at the same. Wouldn’t EST reset at 11am?

Bozja is 100% the way to go for 81 - 85 can get to 85 in like 3 hrs. That’s my plan then do the other stuff to get from 85 - 90
For sure, Bojza is great for leveling, but I'm personally not a fan. This is just an alternative way, and my personal plans.
CLL in Bozja and Dalriada in Zadnor gives a LOT of exp, like 3-4million per run i think. With active instance (which i believe it will be in Dawntrail) it will pop every 25-30 minutes.
What do you suggest to do to get 81?
@@MitoRequiem if you're going with that strategy, people are doing double Wonderous Tails books immediately to get level 81 and go to Bojza.

It's absolutely a good strategy, but I've done so much Bozja that it makes me go to sleep and I want to do something different this expansion.
If you like doing Bozja, you should absolutely do it, but I believe it will start to scale off at around 85.

@@omensoffate It falls off tremendously after 85/86. You need 8-10M exp for each level and Bozja or Zadnor fates only give out 300k exp. Yes they're fast but not *that fast*
Castrum and Dalriada still give out huge chunks (in the millions) though, but they're only once an hour and take a bit to clear.
From 80 to 85 though? Smash that, saves you the use of Khloe books for a bigger level.

Given the starting time of maintenance, Challenge Log entries are worthlessness to work on beforehand. Maintenence is on the 26th, which is Tuesday, starting at 2 AM PDT, the time of weekly reset.

Tuesday is the 25th. Maintenance is Wednesday around 5am EST. You have all day Tuesday to prep your challenge log
The challenge log is largely worthless because you will do these if you plan on running dungeons anyways.
All of it is useless if you don't care about how quick you want to level ;)

Why would you not turn in the first WT on the 28th? You can pick up another that day and complete it then turn that one in at 88 after the reset tuesday and still get another. With your method, you lose a book unless you get to 88 before reset

@@Celis.C If you start recently then everything is a spoiler because you're already behind. It's new to you but not everyone else. When Dawntrail comes out, it's new to everyone, so it's a different situation. Some people might want to get ahead of the info so they can be part of discussions instead of having to basically avoid the internet for who knows how long.

Not sure why all these videos about getting to 90 and 100 ASAP are being posted. With only a couple hours of play a day you can have all jobs to 100 in under a few weeks ... and then complain you are out of content before savage content is released. Every expansion since HW has been the same.
Some people literally just want to do new msq with the new jobs...
