I noticed that one of Hongjoong's favorite things is teasing Wooyoung which is very interesting. But I also noticed that he does indeed love him which is also Interesting. I wondered if he preferred Yeosang because he's more calm and obedient but it could just be Leader Hoong looking out for Woo. Idk
Being leader is so hard because as much as he loves all the members he has to be the voice of reason and be stern/scold them like when woo was too loud in the hotel etc.. he kinda has to be the bad guy or the authority in the group to keep them out of trouble even if he's only a year older. I wouldn't be able to do it honestly..
Yeah this is why I think he’s quite chill and when I first got into Ateez I thought he was the maknae 😂 but Ateez come across as same age friends there doesn’t seem to be any awkwardness with the older and younger members
No it’s bc yeosang is more introvert and doesn’t know how to speak up. If someone even mistreats him, he just accepts it. That’s why hongjoong looks out for him a lot as a leader. In that live, yeosang doesn’t talk much already, and when he does, woo young was unintentionally interrupting him, so that’s why Hongjoong scolded wooyoung. Even if he likes wooyoung more, as a leader he needs look out for yeosang more as he is very shy and innocent.
Wooyoung literally dragging San across the table to stealing his food at 4:37, staring straight at the camera as he bites into, and then giving Yeosang a bite started as the most bratty thing and ended so precious...he's 100% my bias wrecker for multiple reasons...

Hongjoong gets angry when Wooyoung doesn't listen or talks back, but really it's Wooyoung who often puts a smile on his face. More recently during variety shows/contents we also see Wooyoung being thoughtful and supports HJ (like when he explains why HJ wears flashy clothes to studios - no other members have thought of the reason), while Hongjoong becomes more playful and teases Wooyoung. I think Woo in a way helps HJ to relax and find his inner child again, and during this high stress environment it's very important for their mental health. That's why HJ gave credit to Woo for this during one of the food shows/interview (with Woo & Yeosang)

I just came back here after watching an interview where HJ said that he is thankful of Wooyoung for having this type of personality. He's super annoying and clingy at the same time. HJ said "he's the only one who has that personality. he's the reason why we(ateez) are this close". Wooyoung is such a sociable and sweet person and he's like a glue that bonds the group together. Seonghwa is right. It's hard not to love Wooyoung.
