This sound bar arrived yesterday. Costco’s price was 159, without tax. I bought it because, at almost 70 years of age, I noticed I was missing some dialogue when watching TV. I found the sound bar provided about a 90% improvement. The setup was easy. I, too, used the optical cable. The only problem I had was the battery in the remote was dead. The remote didn’t work until I replaced the battery. Then all was fine. Some critics have complained about the bass level. Yes, the bass isn’t going to impress you, but I found it to be a little better than my TV’s speaker. I recycled all of the packing materials and didn’t give a second thought about returning this sound bar. Buying it depends on what you are expecting. I hope this helps.
My opinion is that it gives a nice rich sound from the FRONT. Voices are clear and crisp. I would have a difficult time saying it is gives a true surround sound.
@@lostinthe60s i know for sure that if you connect it through Bluetooth you can use your tv remote to control volume (which is a good thing) but I am curious to know if it will even turn off when you turn off the tv..!
8:10 cant hear any voices at all! Besides, what is the point of your pushing the microphone up against individual speakers - its the balance of dialogue to background we need to hear from a seating position.
Thank you. I will definitely keep that in mind for future videos. I had thought hearing the dialogue would be helpful as you suggest. Have a great day!
My TV doesn’t have an optical cable port. Has only HDMI and USB ports. Any ideas on how to connect the Bose Solo2 that doesn’t have a HDMI or USB ports. Using Bluetooth now, but sound is not in sync with the TV.
I am very sorry for omitting that. I was only focused on a simple set up in an office. I am not near it now, but will check it our when i can. I know that sometimes my videos can be long as I spend time on details that perhaps i don't need to. So again, my apologies.
there ae no output jacks on the back. I don't see a way to connect a subwoofer. I can't confirm if one would work via bluetooth since there is a bluetooth alternative. I don't think it would work or work well if it did work.

Good review. I was looking for something that i can use with a projector in my basement, and this is it.
Great. I still really like this sound bar. People that come over also comment positively about it. Enjoy.
Bought two today. One for me and for my daughter. Will hook mines up tomorrow.
Great.
What is the feed back . I plan to buy . Is it worth the buy
Many thanks from the U.K.
you recommend?
After almost a year I continue to be pleased and enjoy it. Yes, I highly recommend it.
does this sound bar have surround sound?

i don't wanna use two remote controllers so if i connect it through bluetooth will it turn off when i turn off the tv??
I'll check. We decided to use two remotes so i didn't set it up to run off the single remote. I don't know if it would work yet.

Wow! You still have VHS tapes?
Maybe it’s because the speakers are in the centre and not the sides
Thank you

I see a coaxial input jack. You may also connect a regular headphone type jack. I'm not aware of anything else however.
@@lostinthe60s Thanks for the reply. I ordered an HDMI to Optical cable online. I’m hoping it will work. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞.
@@MrBossTube I think that will work
@@lostinthe60s I’ll let you know.
It doesn’t work. ☹️
So can you hook it to a real sub? how on earth can you make a10min video and not mention this?

👌🙏🙏😎
Can you hook up a sub to it
I' m not sure. I connected using an optical connector. The only additonal port available is coaxial in. So I'm just not sure.
