Hey if their policy doesn't cover floods or natural disasters then why should they? Plus we're talking about people who live in a city built on cheap labour and modern slavery. I'm sure they can afford it
Well that depends. Some of these cars arent ones you can just go buy new ones of. The most expensive of the cars destroyed are limited runs of which so few exist it may be years before another owner decides to sell. And even then they are usualy bespoke to order making each car a 1 of 1
Nah, these cars are customized and fitted from factory to their liking, as well as like the comment said above, limited runs. Goodluck trying to buy another Veneno, they only made 13 of them. Even something like the LaFerrari, there's only 500 of them, buying another is 1, very unlikely you'd be able to find the same spec, 2, if one is on the market, you and everyone else who lost one is now competing for it, and 3, it's gonna be significantly more expensive.
Oh, and in Dubia, it doesn't matter what you have. There's so much wealth, a Bugatti is a dime in dozen. It's about how soon you can get it and having it customized to your characteristics. That's why "Just buy another one" just doesn't work for this scenario.

Flooding is actually a common event in the desert. Most of them have a rainy season still. And the land in deserts causes water to mostly run off not absorb it like already damp ground. Deserts are mostly hard clay and sand. Water drain right through sand and the clay is sun baked and compact. It absorbs water very slowly causing pooling/running off/flooding. Also being very open and flat and having a large surface area storms can linger amd get stuck because of pressure but the weather can also blow in and out and change really fast. Where I live in the desert it's gone from 100 degrees to flooding/ice storms in a few hours. Also roads tend to not be built for rain/to drain quickly and can get real crazy when it snows or if there's a flash flood.

Now the floods
One of the biggest problems with Dubai is that there’s no drainage on the streets as they don’t expect rain ever, they’re in the desert. Every time it rains even a little bit there’s some smaller floods, it was a matter of time before it ran out of hand
The only reason it has been flooding is their cloud-seeding activities. When they built the infrastructure for drainage they weren't messing around with the weather.
They should also stop messing around with cloud seeding
That plus it's so dry that when water does fall it doesn't soak into the soil. It has nowhere to go even outside of cities because the dry ground is solid.
@@sammy2tires320Lol, cloud seeding wouldn't do all this. Our planet is in a state of flux from climate change. Draught constant places like California are getting pounded by atmospheric rivers.
No drainage? Really....?
I expect some TH-camrs who restore wrecked cars to hop on this once they start selling them off
If they can actually buy it from the owners, because all the abandoned cars in Dubai can not be purchased. Just like they don't do bankruptcy there, so abandoned what they can't take and leave with what money they could and live a comfortable life in exile.
Richest but not ready for floods
They would have gone to the super car graveyard if they wanted something repairable.
Most of them are fake (restoration videos)
Almost all of these supercars are insured, those who choose to claim the insurance and get hundreds of thousands of dollars, the cars then go to auction as water damaged being sold by the insurance companies to recoup losses@@168tsai8
That's karma for the rich in Dubai who don't care for the not so fortunate in Dubai. They're like two different worlds in one country.
This is why you don't try to manipulate the weather
I am so laughing my ass off right now! They've got more money than brains!🤣🤣🤣🤣
What does the flood have to do with them having no brains?

This happening has got to be the absolute last thing on your mind living in the desert.
Not trying to be ridiculous but honestly it would be like a tornado or hurricane. You're always kinda worried but always think it won't hit you
Flood in the desert takes the cake, it doesn't get any more absurd
@@g_dub flooding and deserts go hand in hand. Egypt built a whole empire around it.

Imagine living in a desert and now you have to take out special provisions for flood insurance in case the government tries to flush your cars again.
Exactly. They admittedly caused this. Cloud seeding for rain but they seeded way too much and got 1 years worth of rain in 12 hours.
We really need to stop messing with the weather.

Bet Dubai's insurance companies never thought of flood coverage for their clients.
Well they are covering claims for natural perils if clients have the comprehensive option.
@@korniestpatch
But now they will think to make separate clauses of natural disasters.
For instance, in the USA, you need specifically flood insurance to cover floods. Which happens in certain areas.
You clearly do not understand insurance. Comprehensive covers flood damage. Comprehensive covers anything that isn't an automotive colission. What you're talking about is a made uo scam😂@@CurlyFromTheSwirly
@@CurlyFromTheSwirly I don’t think so, considering this is an edge case. They already have definitions for floods under the comprehensive. But we wouldn’t be able to tell till they actually make changes.
