Nusa Dua is a resort area that was built in the southern part of Bali, Indonesia, in the 1970s. Known as the enclave of large five-star resorts, it covers 350 hectares of land and surrounds more than 20 resorts. It is located 22 kilometers from Denpasar, the provincial capital of Bali, and administered as part of the Benoa sub-district (Kelurahan) in South Kuta, Badung Regency. Nusa Dua means two islands (Nousa 'Island', Dua 'Two'), as the Bali Tourism Development Corporation has two islands in the region's Bay. On the southern side lies the peninsula island, and on the northern side is the Nusa Dharma island, which is small but shady, and includes the Pura/Temple Nusa religion.
