SMA inverter error codes VAC-Bfr and VAC-Srr seem to be internal codes for 'grid voltage too low' and 'grid voltage too high' respectively. Grid frequency out of range error codes are FAC-Bfr and FAC-Srr also. What 'Bfr' and 'Ssr' are short for, I can't work out. Just looked this up online, and am passing it on as I find it. If you don't have a label printer Andy, and I _really_ recommend them, you could do worse than use masking tape wrapped around and a permanent pen marker to label your cables outside and in the batt shed. Cheers, Dave
Dave, so VAC BFR in this case refers to AC low. Normally I colour code wires and that extra white mains lead was from testing a Solis, then forgetting it was there, cheers
Glad to see it working. We all need to generate our little bit, especially when the import cost doubles in April. Worth pointing out volt drop across long leads too. I swapped a 50m 1.5mm2 extension cord for a 2.5mm2 as the smaller reel lost 12% in voltage.
are you sure the fault is in the inverter, many times it is in the panel wiring. make sure your DC wires are strapped up and not touching earth, cheers
@@TheInfoworks hi, it run wel now... The mistake that i did was to run First the DC then the AC and normaly you need to start the inverter First then activate the DC switch
I got a bit of chuckle from that one😀
Glad it was a simple fix and at least you know what the code is now.
Kenny, yes a bit of a DOH! moment, cheers
Hi Andy, Not sure about that socket outdoors without protection. Could get corrosion on the plug pins and also the fuse holder.
Thanks for the video.
Hi, oh yes, exactly, this is a temporary set up, cheers
Those caps are hating life. Looks like your next inverter problem. Recap with Nichicon's and get it out of exposure.
Who doesn't like a quick win! 😎
Matt, especially when it's caused by a simple no harm mistake, cheers
Are any grid tie inverters really reliable or come with a 10 year guarantee?
Well this one may be 15 years old. The Solis had a 10 year guarantee. it all depends on the quality of the installation, cheers
I know nothing about solar.....apart from using the sun..lol
learning...

Neil, time to gather some, cheers
I wondered about putting a multimeter across ac. But a true rms meter would be necessary.
Owen, as you see it's fine unless you need to be very accurate. It let me know there's mains power there, cheers

Ian, volt drop is a killer with all of these systems. I am going to move some inverters closer to their panels to reduce this, cheers
Help, sorry bad inglish. Omniksol 2k tl Isolation fault , fault in inverter, where do i start looking? Relays is new.It is possible find schema?

@@TheInfoworks yes absolutely sure, also tried 150 vcd from battery
@@christianlarsson6065 Difficult to define, maybe start checking the capacitors. Otherwise replace the unit with a second hand solar inverter, cheers
Thank you
No worries, I hope you have subscribed, cheers
Help inverter won’t turn on
do you have AC and DC power at your inverter?
@@TheInfoworks hi, i meet the same issue it will not run... i have a 480vdc and 230vac but it wil not run it's a sb3800
