On the same opinion. Nightwish is too safe, too poppy for Floor's vocal power, gosh I wish Epica will invite her on a song. I wish Nightwish will experiment with music and her voice in general. I feel they try too hard to be mainstream when they where the pioneers of symphonic metal and the ones who made the genre famous.

Her first band had fallen apart at the peak of their popularity. ReVamp never really took off. She was 32 and had suffered from a severe burnout. Then she saw this huge career opportunity and grabbed it, but had to pay for it with her creative freedom. Her immense talent is being wasted singing disney metal or, these days, pop for the mainstream audience, but she doesn't care. What can we do?
Nothing but remagine our empty memories of who she was before she lost herself.☹

@@noneofyerbeeswax8194 Now that you mention disney metal and pop it makes me realize that nowadays metal bands and singers are afraid of metal and gloss it, wash it, turn it to some butchered mismatched mix of electronic and safe rock, which sounds terrible by the way.
I wonder what turned metal this way? In the 90's it was just perfect, dark, raw, creative and fresh.
Now it is the scary little bro of pop music.
Almost all bands, veteran and new, get out music which is a horrid mix of autotune, sterile beats and guitar strings overpowered by some crappy machine mix - electronic mix whatever. Gosh I hate consumerism.
