@@TMNTTHECONTINUITY If I can find an adequately unique and interesting angle. The trilogy has already been discussed ad nauseam by the TH-camrs who copy + paste TMNTPedia.
This was gonna happen sooner or later for IDW, at this point all they have is tmnt, sonic and godzilla(which is their one decent comic because its a purely action based comic) Though sonic and tmnt seem to suffer from the same problems, starting off okay and slowly declining faster and faster, as well as new fans pirating the comic for shits and giggles despite both fanbases "loving" the comic but the giant elephant in the room for both tmnt and sonic is THE HORRIBLE STAFF AND WRITERS. The same people who don't care about the people actually buying the book and just push their garbage either in the comic itself or on social media platforms., sometimes even lashing out on the actual buyers of said stories, Its sad.
¿Is the IDW Sonic run worth reading? I grew up with the Archie comics and hesitated to pick up the new one due to IDW's mishandling of their Transformers run.
@@Tortaviejo123-cb8me I also grew up with the Archie run and for how crazy it was, i thought it was fantastic though as for idw i'd very cautiously go into since it doesn't properly portray the game personalities very well and for a comic tied to the games and focused on the canon version of the characters it focuses a huge portion of time on new exclusive idw sonic characters(which vary from written okay to god awful) as opposed to sonic and the gang (the characters you'd actually care about) and the plots vary from straight up just ripping off ideas and sonic games to plot hole filled dramaramas with no substance whatsoever so id say go into it not expecting anything spectacular if you're curious but if not i'd say you can read way better from not only the sonic franchise but others comics and manga
The reason I bought Lat Robin is because it was a concept. created and approved by Eastman and Laird. For me that makes it worth reading. If they could get Eastmen or Laird to continue Thier comic I may pick it up. Even if they did what Akira Toriyama did in his later years. Where you get another writer and art to draw the book. They would give designs and an out line and pretty much direct the comics. If it would get production on main line turtles comics going it would be worth the money.
Great video 📼 Sadly, IDW is eventually going to loose the license to TMNT. I think 🤔 Paramount should make their own comic publisher, and call it Mirage Publishing. They basically already own the rights to the old Mirage anyway.
IDW is finally doing the thing I wished they had done for years, spin off some of mini-series, and one-offs into full series. Still need to one for Old Hob, he was potentially the "Negative Master Splinter" and still could be with those weasel kids with him.
I don't think we should forget about the new turtles, but instead give them original weapons and have them go on adventures in different settings to differentiate them from the originals. Maybe have it in them fighting against the dragon lord as their version of shredder or something
How about they stop the virtue signaling and have the turtles go in adventures? Maybe even have gecko mondo good shredder do a roadtrip ANYTHING really
I would keep the "Black, White and Green" series as a ongoing but have it specifically identified as a anthology. You can tell stories without all the IDW TMNT universe baggage. Or hell do stories like in the 40 anniversary books
I hate when companies make the reader buy multiple books just to understand what's happening in the main story. They should be spin offs telling their own story.
I don't mind the new turtles in The Last Ronin series, my only problem with them is that I think they are not fleshed out enough yet and I think making them with unique personalities and more good stories can help them in the long run. Also I think a prequel run showing all of the events involving the old turtles before the current events of the last ronin story would be cool
I like the TMNT idw comics relaunch and the TMNT Saturday morning adventures and the TMNT crossovers but I don't like the Night watcher and Mutant Nation and the last ronin 2 revolution
About that ronin prequel being like call saul there should be a present story with the young turtles, april and casey and give them a bittersweet ending like that show. I dont hate the new turtles A story about them could be cool just change the last ronin title to something like stories of the ronins They could prove themselves They arent brats they are good kids
I don't necessarily hate the new turtles either, to be honest. But from what I've seen, the enthusiasm toward them is pretty low. I'd be worried that they'd overstay their welcome and the novelty of new turtles will expire.
if DC and marvel can make comics with different characters playing similar roles in like 500 different alternate universes surely the turtle franchise could handle 3 universe comics the main, Saturday and ronins The leadership and crew just have to be competent and play the long game Also their neca figures are cool
the constant miniseries and spinoff titles read fine in the IDW collections but as its coming out it is odd. even right now its not clear if mutant nation takes place before the new #1 or not at least not to me. i do have to ask what your vision for a ronin verse would be tho. would it just be the 400th rehashing of the same stories with details changed again or mostly original darker stories with different villains and stuff?
they have a trusted author in jason aaron to turn the series around. none of their new series have made it through a single arc yet. you’ve been preaching about the IDW sinking ship for a while and now that they’re trying to turn things around you’re complaining still. give it a rest. the 2 issues plus alpha we got of the main line were good. TLR2 is just getting started and it was good. for a tmnt fan you sure seem to dislike all of the tmnt content
I’ll follow the main run and Saturday morning adventures but nothing else. Honestly I’d much rather have had them lose the license and after what they let Campbell crap out over the last few years they would deserve to lose it. And Locke and Key was a good comic (not great but good) the show was terrible and I could only watch 1 episode before I quit. And yes last Ronin was pretty good, again not great but in comparison to what else was getting made in the TMNT universe it was a great change of pace but honestly I don’t have too much hope for the future of the series.
I know, that's why it's ironic. Brazil's elites and current government apparatus are infinitely more corrupt and authoritarian than Bolsonaro ever was, despite the constant fearmongering that he was the dangerous one. As is always the case, the communists and their co-conspirators among the elites were the dangerous ones all along. And sadly, the U.S. is the next Brazil - the elites are jailing political opponents, subverting the will of the people by trying to keep people off ballots and hand-picking candidates, and they're working tirelessly to achieve the same sort of censorship that was instituted in Brazil.

I would make a new TMNT series that takes place in a different setting. Like a Western, cyberpunk, feudal Japan, or even a post-apocalyptic world.
What they should do is sell TMNT to Dark Horse Comics
