This film has the same takeaway the Disaster Artist book had - which was that it legitimately doesn't matter how talented you are, if you have enough money you can brute force your dreams into existence.
Jay looks disheveled and rough whilst Mike just looks like Mike.
Steve if anything Mike actually looks better than normal. He's really thriving in quarantine.
Mike's hair has less directions it can go.
@@Davidsworldtravels Fewer beer runs.
So basically this is Dethklok's movie "Blood Ocean", only they didn't blow up the footage and murder everyone at the premiere to prevent it from getting out?
I wonder how many drops of blood there are in a blood ocean.
I wonder how much is in a drop.
@vice vice I found, I found it out, there's trillions of gallons
I've got to watch that. Is it shlock ?
I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!!!
@@banjotoothlessbill It's a fake movie staring a fake band in a real cartoon show. You can watch the trailer on TH-cam.
This is still one of my favorite reviews, makes me laugh so hard every time
If I have to hear this Sprint “in these uncertain times” ad on TH-cam one more time, I’m gonna rip off my own face.
Shelby Watson Coronavirus ads are somehow worse than regular ads.
Drago McRoy
They all seem to be made in advance. Did anybody see wag the dog?
Oooo that is a great idea re:view of face off with mike and rich
Watch out man ur gonna get corona on ur exposed flesh
Lol, I got an e-mail from my phone carrier saying something like hey we're gonna help you out. All the did was give me more data usage for free. I won't be using it because I'll be home... Thanks, assholes! 🙄
"I just want things to make sense." Jay.
Sorry Jay, in your line of work, that's gonna be tough to find.
This makes the Aqua Teen Danzig joke much more hilarious.
Absolutely
I adore the spider-man’s tiny painted-on mustache
*offensive French accent* Oui, oui, his curly petite crumb-duster for a 'stache is 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘦.
Exactly like Stan Lee and Steve Ditko envisioned.
Crazy Fat Ethel II did it better
I think the curly/spiraling lines on the corners of his mouth are supposed to be, well, the corners of his mouth lol; If that is what you are referring to of course.
"Milk or beer? It depends what time of day it is, honey."
Does it, Mike? Does it really?
Percy Gryce The little smile after he says that line confirms it

@@kemp10 Yeah, I miss the community there a lot. Good times, good times.
You know that you're a big Hollywood movie star when you get an "Also Starring"-credit for like 3-4 lines you spoke over the phone. I hope Rich doesn't bankrupt RLM with his exorbitant acting fees.
When Mike did the French accent that ended up sounding Italian and then he doubled down with the Italian hand movement and Jay is like yah good enough!!! I lost my shit.
27:35 I watched this moment 5 times before i could move on.
They kept it in as a tribute to Glenn Danzig
yeh me too, best part of the episode
44:11 proper italian
That neon "CAFE" sign in the first segment is facing inwards, so any potential customer on the street outside would just see it backwards.
It's so you can tell yourself when you're inside "I'm in here".
The Comic Label is Verotik, the anthology series was called "Verotika"
None of that saves it.
"down the street not across the tracks."
Thanks for the handy tip to get out of quarantine, Mike!
Is that a Sweet Dee shoutout, or did Sweet Dee get that from somewhere else?
Every Other TH-camr: Need to post super positive content to make people forget about the state of the world.
RLM: Listen...
Arguably , this makes me forgot more about the bullcrap in life than the fake, happy go-lucky bullcrap.
@@boogityhoo7452 yeah this is real escapism.
Oh man, the build up to the joke at 50:00 makes this whole video worth it.
The look on his face moments before and then during the punchline makes for a tremendous ~3 seconds.
Re: the camera, I think that's an Arri Alexa (googling it seems to confirm). Drive was shot on an Alexa. So were Skyfall, Moonlight, and Parasite
I like how the stripper murderer's "disfigurements" are just some weird scars on her cheeks that wouldn't really bother most people irl.
It's the ready player one girl's "deformity" all over again.
Or Tall Girl's premise/entire show
A close friend of my family, Scott M. Toland, is a set electrician that lives in L.A. I discovered recently while browsing the IMDb page for Samurai Cop that he did the set lighting for that movie! I told him about it and he was amazed that so many people know about this little movie he worked on. It's really wild to have that kind of a connection to a movie like this

Unrated here. (UK.)
It says unrated for me
Unrated in the UK, which is odd because we don’t have unrated movie releases.
Mike be looking like Harrison Ford in the rise of skywalker
Harrison Ford looks younger
Woah mike and jay rockin that sexy dishevelled quarantine look. I love it!
It's like a TUMS FESTIVAL waiting on that Picard review!
lol
Oh Jesus, the virus must really be getting to them if they’re willing to sink this low
Nah,they will be fine.
They have reviewed STD and Picard and survived, what can a shitty Glenn Danzig -softporn- eh... Horror movie do to them?
I rather hear reviews like this over them watching a main stream movie. Its like a BOTW spotlight episode.
I saw this at a premiere in Chicago at, I think the music box theater? Danzig was there, talked to him for a few minutes. I didn’t LIKE the movies because they were good. I liked them because they were very Danzig. “You guys were laughing at times you shouldn’t have been laughing” was something he said during the Q&A.
the thing that made the Misfits work is that they had no irony; same here, I think.
The guy who wrote Heavy Metal Movies was there too; he raved about what a moment it was.
Jay's hair is going through an intriguing character arc
