I think a lot of the reason everyone loves it - including me, is we have been waiting ELEVEN YEARS for the latter half of the ethereals, and we finally got them! That and their song is quite different compared to most of the islands. On top of it, the instruments are very out- of-the-box. This island hits for me in particular because as a fan of Eldritch concepts and lore, this island is awesome! An island on the brain of a colossal? The other ethereals ontop being completely oblivious to the madness occurring beneath them? Just how FREAKY a lot of the designs are, and quite literally not a single monster is uncreative or conceptually uninspired. Back to the lore and eldritch stuff, I just LOVE the idea that these were never meant to exist, and. Zarroë is busy being Dr. Frankenstein under the other colossal’s noses! Did I even mention that canonically their instability would quite literally destroy the entire monster world - or atleast the pocket dimension - if the ever escaped? So Zarroë is quite literally playing with world ending fire for the sake of SCIENCE✨
This isn’t just the Workshop remix of all time… This is just straight up the BEST workshop island remix of all time. It’s like hearing the song is a way I never quite have before, and it’s filled to the brim with creative takes I never would’ve even thought of. Everyone on this platform needs to take a good long listen to this baby. It’s a full 10/10 from me.

This gives a different vibe to the og song, but in a good way! This feels like I'm listening to a mirror island mix of the song, and has more of that "abandoned laboratory made by a crazy powerful scientist" vibe!
