One of my mom's favorite songs, too. She must have heard her mother play it on the piano. I can remember her belting out this song and others through the kitchen window as I played outside.
The bass on this record has caused the foundation of my house to crack--I'll be sending a bill! I love beautiful waltzes now.and used to wouldn't listen to one for anything.
Good music never grows old. I hope people will still be able to hear this version 100 years from now.
In about 2 months I'll be singing this song in a solo competition. I cant wait! What a beautiful piece!
Brezzy Alchemist how did it go?

@Myrtle791 In 1940 this song was featured in the movie version of the play Irene, for which the song was written.
Thanks again for this Treat.
Great song!
I think it's a wonderful tune.
I commend the McGarrigle version from The McGarrigle Hour.
Not usually a fan of waltz but this orchestra has a sweet sound
Thanks Again: A treat for my Brain.
I love this, thanks for posting! Is "Beautiful Lady" on the flip side? My copy was broken, I'd so love to hear it again.
it was written in 1919
I have this by Fred Waring. Too bad about writer Joseph McCarthy's name; it's the same as the notorious 50s witch hunter.

Brain needed again: Thanks.
Jesus loves you ❤
