I'll admit it. As a Spartan fan I was a bit nervous when U-M hired Harbaugh. Especially when he shut out 3 teams in a row before his first game against MSU. I wont say he's an awful coach, but he's definitely not worth what they're paying him. Hope they keep him around..LOL!

As a rival fan, IMHO Jim looks like he's lost the passion for having to do what it takes to be elite. He looks like Urban did for most of the year, like "I want to do this but I just can't!" Not because he's out of his league, more like the fire and passion for it is gone. The time and effort for a college coach is a F)(;5ing grind 24/7 365. The recruiting, the pressure that even if you go 13-1 14-1 but lose the NC has to be draining. Look at Bamas season. They trounce a bunch of bad teams, almost get beat by a overrated Dawgs team, (20 point loss to a team that if not for OSUs 2nd string QB was projected to win 6 games, lost to a just above average Texas team that was playing its best ball of the year) for most programs, they would take it in a heartbeat. For UM, Bama, Clemson, OU, OSU, ND, Texas, Penn State, etc, that's a disappointing season. Let that sink in for a minute, not winning it all at those schools is a disappointing season. If these teams do not win it all, most fans will say, "we need to get better," because expectations are you're playing for a NC every year. I think that along with being stubborn has taken the fire in his belly out. Most NFL fans are happy to at least win a game in the playoffs unless you're the Pats, Steelers, or Cowboys. I could be way off base but I think the college grind has taken its toll on him, but he can't bail or he would get destroyed by the fans and media. If you don't have a win it all or bust mindset at the traditional powerhouse schools, then you're the wrong coach. I think Jim wants the NFL again, but can't leave under these conditions. 10-3, losing to your rival every times, 1-9 vs top 10 teams and 1-3 in bowl games is not Michigan football. But Bo Schembelcher was 5-12 in bowl games so Moeller was better than both in bowl games. I hope he gets better because if Bama loses to Georgia they still get in the playoffs or don't win the SEC they get in the CFP. They would never put us both in like they do the SEC. Imagine a day when OSU vs Michigan for the NC ever happened. That would be EPIC!!

Eric S Fisher because Bo had a horrible bowl record, especially Rose Bowl record, so he blew a lot of chances at a title. Woody Hayes had a descent Rose Bowl record, and capitalized on his opportunities better in those games. Again he blew titles as well, but capitalized on a few as well.

South Carolina didn't have a grad assistant calling plays in the Outback Bowl. They had their WR coach and former UGA interim head coach Brian McClendon calling plays. McClendon has since been promoted to full-time OC. So, don't let that truth change your argument.

Harbaugh wants things way to complicated his system is to complex,and he needs to simplify his offense. He also needs to have a position coach for every position to specialize, and focus on just coaching that position instead of coaching 2, or 3 positions at a time. Having a run game,and pass game coordinator needs to end too he should just have one offensive coordinator to call all the plays, and get some cohesiveness going on his offense, and he should stop giving job's to coordinator's that don't deserve it. His scheme is horrible too it's a joke to have someone calling the run play's, and someone else calling the pass play's.
I have been a Michigan fan since my dad took me to the games back in the 60's. I love the team, the tradition, the game day excitement. I am a Walmart Wolverine. I came across this rant and I must say this Spartan is right on the MONEY with his assessment. I know right? 10/10 times they replay that game in good weather, Michigan wins, and 7/10 times they replay it in bad weather. No one is betting their mother that Barrett got to the spot to gain. Besides, that was probably the best 60 minutes put together by any team in any game last season that still lost. There were issues with the refs in the muffed punt game. No one gives Harbaugh credit for that hard fought 14-7 win over Wisconsin.

Because if he was he could touch a player and he’d be a superstar AND factors like the rain wouldn’t impact their game and also on the Dantonio side... he consistently recruits 2 and 3 and some 4 stars and the rare 5 star and they turn into players like Leveon Bell(he was a 2 Star) until next year but until Harbaugh proves he is worth the money they forked out for him I will continue to say that he isn’t good

As a rival fan, IMHO Jim looks like he's lost the passion for having to do what it takes to be elite. He looks like Urban did for most of the year, like "I want to do this but I just can't!" Not because he's out of his league, more like the fire and passion for it is gone. The time and effort for a college coach is a F)(;5ing grind 24/7 365. The recruiting, the pressure that even if you go 13-1 14-1 but lose the NC has to be draining. Look at Bamas season. They trounce a bunch of bad teams, almost get beat by a overrated Dawgs team, (20 point loss to a team that if not for OSUs 2nd string QB was projected to win 6 games, lost to a just above average Texas team that was playing its best ball of the year) for most programs, they would take it in a heartbeat. For UM, Bama, Clemson, OU, OSU, ND, Texas, Penn State, etc, that's a disappointing season. Let that sink in for a minute, not winning it all at those schools is a disappointing season. If these teams do not win it all, most fans will say, "we need to get better," because expectations are you're playing for a NC every year. I think that along with being stubborn has taken the fire in his belly out. Most NFL fans are happy to at least win a game in the playoffs unless you're the Pats, Steelers, or Cowboys. I could be way off base but I think the college grind has taken its toll on him, but he can't bail or he would get destroyed by the fans and media. If you don't have a win it all or bust mindset at the traditional powerhouse schools, then you're the wrong coach. I think Jim wants the NFL again, but can't leave under these conditions. 10-3, losing to your rival every times, 1-9 vs top 10 teams and 1-3 in bowl games is not Michigan football. But Bo Schembelcher was 5-12 in bowl games so Moeller was better than both in bowl games. I hope he gets better because if Bama loses to Georgia they still get in the playoffs or don't win the SEC they get in the CFP. They would never put us both in like they do the SEC. Imagine a day when OSU vs Michigan for the NC ever happened. That would be EPIC!!

Eric S Fisher because Bo had a horrible bowl record, especially Rose Bowl record, so he blew a lot of chances at a title. Woody Hayes had a descent Rose Bowl record, and capitalized on his opportunities better in those games. Again he blew titles as well, but capitalized on a few as well.

South Carolina didn't have a grad assistant calling plays in the Outback Bowl. They had their WR coach and former UGA interim head coach Brian McClendon calling plays. McClendon has since been promoted to full-time OC. So, don't let that truth change your argument.

Harbaugh wants things way to complicated his system is to complex,and he needs to simplify his offense. He also needs to have a position coach for every position to specialize, and focus on just coaching that position instead of coaching 2, or 3 positions at a time. Having a run game,and pass game coordinator needs to end too he should just have one offensive coordinator to call all the plays, and get some cohesiveness going on his offense, and he should stop giving job's to coordinator's that don't deserve it. His scheme is horrible too it's a joke to have someone calling the run play's, and someone else calling the pass play's.

I have been a Michigan fan since my dad took me to the games back in the 60's. I love the team, the tradition, the game day excitement. I am a Walmart Wolverine. I came across this rant and I must say this Spartan is right on the MONEY with his assessment. This man is brutal, 2015 loss to MSU on a freak play, 2016 controversial calls vs Ohio state and win against msu, 2017 one of the youngest teams in college football, rainy game against msu and frequent injuries at multiple positions, after next year will be the year you can question harbaugh.
No more excuses, bro!! State had to play in that same rainy game and Michigan was losing before it rained. Harbaugh can definitely be questioned at this juncture!!! Other schools have young teams and also deal with injuries. I agree with Mike that Harbs best bet this off season is REALLY focus on football. No more satellite camps, milk commercials, trips to Italy, basically all this other crap that gets all this media attention other than winning big games. I know right? 10/10 times they replay that game in good weather, Michigan wins, and 7/10 times they replay it in bad weather. No one is betting their mother that Barrett got to the spot to gain. Besides, that was probably the best 60 minutes put together by any team in any game last season that still lost. There were issues with the refs in the muffed punt game. No one gives Harbaugh credit for that hard fought 14-7 win over Wisconsin.
