There was a guy on the other side of the booth where the lace monitor was. Called Robinsons reptiles (black owned and operated) He had beautiful water monitors and a super puppy dog tame Nile and a puppy dog tame mangrove monitor, both super rare to be so tame. I purchased the mangrove and I’m so happy and thankful. He really works with his animals. Black reptile keepers and breeders don’t get enough recognition in this hobby. Dude really had some amazingly tame monitors

Hi Dav Thanks for showing that wonderful Reptile Show. Those white crested geckos were beautiful. The blood python morfs are very pretty. The black indigos were so large, and friendly. I have never seen a yellow headed monitor, the colors, and pattern were awesome. ❤🐍, lizards. Cindy

I have been into snakes since 1970 and I too think Indigos are the nicest snakes in the world and the Cribs are a very close second.

Hi Dav. I realise that america is really keen on getting the morphs they want in a reptile. I also realise you are limited for time when filming. What i'd be interested in is, When all these breeders start out in the business what is it that inspires them to keep and work with their particular breed. There are so many choices of reptile to choose from why choose their particular breed over all the others.
Good suggestion!
There is probably no articulable reason or rationale why people favor one morph or "breed" over another (or others) - seems like it comes down to a matter of aesthetics and/or rarity - sort of like fashion.

I was so bummed to have missed this show. It was so close to home too.
Fortunately I was able to get out on the water and ended up putting close to a six footer on my kayak.

I do like the Indigos, but I honestly like black pines much better. I feel like the Indigos are way over hyped, however I do like them. I will admit my freind who's recently passed away, when it shit, it sprayed down its enclosure it was brutal lol.
I hava 7 idigos that are from 1male i got from Lemkes "Black Pine" line of snakes.
Always a little funny listening to reptile talk as a trans person. I too am sought after for my chicken-soup-y skin and jet black eyes 😉

Did I see $450 for a Pueblan milk snake?? I hate it when vendors hyper inflate prices for shows. Probably why I don't go to many shows these days. Always do your research before making purchases & maybe have an idea of what you're looking for before attending.

The price of reptiles now and for years kills the fun and practicality. Reminds me of the movie Blade Runner, see if people can figure that connection out. One good thing about ridiculous purchase prices is then people that buy these pets have a greater appreciation and urgency to properly take care of their pet due to its ultra-high ticket price. Fewer people can buy/afford so less neglected, abandoned and dead animals which is the good side.
Prices of reptiles range between $25 - $2500 anyone can afford a reptile.
@dannyphantom121 Give me a break. Sure there are low cost reptiles that exist for little children but im speaking of reptiles for adults. Not 6-8 inch corn snakes from petsmart or a $80 breaded dragon. The shows this youtuber goes to and the snakes and lizards cost $600 to 3,000. In the 80's and 90's at petstores could buy Boas, Burmese Pythons, Green Andacondas and Reticulated Pythons for $100-130. I bought my 2 tegus for under 200. Go to shows and buy today or last 2-3 years $450-600 and some $1,000 plus.
Many, repeat many reptiles at these shows a $5,000, 7,000 to 10,000.
Also, liking your own comment right after you post it is needy and kind of desperate.

Not 1 single amphibian and I know tree frog connection had cruziohyla craspedopus wich are super rare. Kinda disappointed nothing on this video for amphibian peeps
