@@lixie4953 don't give up. Learn from your mistakes. If your drawing are messing up be it bcz as u make them messed up u are making a new art 😉. There are 2 main things in drawing quality nd quantity. U don't have to look at the quality u have luk at the quantity of your drawings whether it's gud or bad focus on how many u draw a day not how the luk of your 1 drawing a day. As u draw messed up the skills u will improve. One of my student have your same problem

Ara! 💓 I was checking my phone in bed this morning and clicked on your video thinking that I would watch a little bit first until I’m ready to get up, but I actually ended up being so mesmerized and watched the whole thing without even realizing it! 😂 Your videos always have such a calm and beautiful vibe but I think your new microphone has really brought it to the next level! I really enjoyed the ASMR effect! 🥰
As always, your drawings are just perfect! It’s so satisfying to watch you make a sketch, outline it, paint it in, and then paste it in your journal. You never really notice while you’re absorbed in the video, but this takes a lot of time and effort, especially when you factor in the filming and editing! From my perspective at least, it’s completely worth it because your journal spreads are so unique, and you’re also helping us as viewers, not only by teaching us but also giving us something relaxing to watch. 😌
Btw, when you opened your palette, I was pleasantly taken aback because it’s full of “Ara colors!” Soft pinks, peach, lavender and blue, the shades that you have prepared are so you!! How lovely! 😍
And the bathroom paintings!!! That was such a sweet touch along with the bubbles, and the way you made it was just brilliant! I just love how you find so many different ways of using washi tape, it really takes a creative mind to think like this, and it’s a very good skill to have in life! 🤩
With the second spread too, first of all the tapes that you selected are just gorgeous! 💕You selected the right ones for each outfit, too! The final result was just amazing, especially with the wrinkles, and after you outlined it again over the tape!!! That’s the sort of thing I would either never think of doing, or be too scared to try! The outfits are so pretty as well! Indie music is actually my favorite so I was extra pleased that it was part of your drawing! In fact, that drawing reminded me a lot of the movie “500 Days of Summer.” It’s a well-made movie but made me very angry so I wouldn’t recommend it. 😂
You always surprise me with little coincidences in your videos! Just yesterday, I was looking at some fountain pens and thinking if I should get one, but there were only two things holding me back: one, I have way too many pens in general and I don’t like buying things when I don’t actually need them. Two, I always thought fountain pens were only for cursive writing so I thought it would be a waste! Well, now I know that you can still use it to write in print, and it actually looks very beautiful!! Your handwriting is just perfect. ❣️
Also yesterday, I was looking at a calligraphy book and I remembered you telling me about your goal to learn cursive, and your cursive book! I started wondering how it was going and I can now see that it’s going really well!! Keep up the great work, Ara!! 💪🏼 You will be an expert very soon with your hard work and determination, it’s very inspiring! 💖
These little coincidences make me feel more connected to you, in a very magical way. 💖 And every time, I learn that we have many more things in common!
I also learn something new in every video! For example, in this one, I finally learned how to use sticker tabs properly. 😂 I’ve been trying to figure it out for years! Recently, one of my friends told me that these stickers are meant to be used to seal letters...I thought, “that can’t be right, but it is a good idea!” And so I went online trying to find the correct way to use them but never did...it might have been a small clip in 0:33 but I just wanted you to know that it’s made a huge difference in my mind and solved this nagging problem for me!! 😂
I didn’t know you had Flying Tiger in Korea, I thought it was just in Europe! Thank you for showing us around the store! I always find these tours very interesting. 🥰 Was that your husband playing with the sequins on the notebook? It was very funny and I totally get it because I do the same thing. It’s very satisfying and sometimes you just can’t help yourself! 😂
The sealing wax and stamp kit is so cute! Actually, this is the type of wax that I’ve always used, which is why wax beads seemed so new and intriguing to me! ☺️ I can’t really tell, but did you blow off the flame before pouring the wax? Or maybe it’s just the type or quality of wax, because mine are usually quite runny. What I do is keep a little cup of water next to me and I light the candle, melt enough wax, quickly lay the stamp and dip the wick in water to off the flame (in one quick motion haha). It’s a bit tricky to work with but I tell myself that if people used it regularly in the old days, then I should be able to figure it out. 😅
I’m sorry to hear that things are troubling you these days...I also tend to forget (ignore actually, haha) my problems by focusing on something else, whether it’s art, shopping for art supplies...or even cleaning. 😆 I hope things get better for you...I’m always here if you need anything, and please know that you’re always in my thoughts!! 😘

Actually my drawing is not perfect. I always want to paint better and dream of something more perfect. And I hope to make a better video by that. But sometimes I get frustrated between my high standards and my reality😥 Motivation is good, but I want to avoid disappointing myself. So your comments make me dance! I was surprised to hear you said about the fountain pen! We have a lot of things in common! It's really amazing to find someone who thinks similarly and has a lot in common even though it's so far away. I was absolutely impressed with it. The fountain pen I have is three dollars. Before I bought it, I was worried about whether I would use it well. I wanted to buy it to practice cursive, but I also thought it would be a waste. So I found something cheap and I'm using it in print as well as in cursive. Because I don't know when I use it all just by writing in cursive🤣🤣 The ink will harden! Thank you for recognizing my thoughts!! I think we are really connected. we have many more things in common!

Oh the cursive writing... When I was in 3rd grade my teacher, Mrs. Robin, made us copy sentences in cursive for the first two hours of every day. 😮💨 It was exhausting but I'm glad I can write cursive fast now. I took all my college notes in cursive.
