I like this design! Wow! Instead of a stick bike, you have basically a big fork.

Well! I might say this is one of the most pleasant videos I have watched in TH-cam and very accurate in every detail on how to make your own recumbent. Thank you man, I really appreciate your concern on helping others to be creative.

Great video mate . In the future can you do a low racer recumbent and enclose it if all goes well . Very fast and efficient machines they are

Man, you ride recumbents, enjoy the outdoors, build stuff out of things you've hoarded, and from the peek of fletching I saw, you're into archery..might explain you having a favorite yew tree? I think we might be distantly related by our mutual interests, haha! Great channel! Thanks for sharing your wisdom and skills!

Thanks. Yes I used to do lots of archery. I still have a couple of bows and lots of arrows. And yes, I started out with the English longbow and the yew is a magical tree to me.

It's one of the easiest frames to build. Just like a ladder really

Thanks, you've revived my dream to own & commute on a recumbent once more. I just need to learn how to weld now! Btw, what was the weight of the final build?

Ha ha. Do it. It was just over 40 lbs but that is with the heavy hub/ wheels and cheap parts.

Lovely build, have enjoyed from start to finish! I built a recumbent several years ago. It began with a set of Atomic Zombie Tomahawk plans but after seeing the Raptobike Lowracer that was getting good reviews, ended up being front wheel drive and quite nice to ride....I was really relieved when the drivetrain worked because it was a bit of a gamble looking back!
Mine used 1/16 gauge 1.5" square tube & for the fwd I made a heavier duty fork from rectangular tubing. I over engineered it just in case & used sturmey archer drum brakes so it was no lightweight. Fast downhill though lol. What size tube did you use for the frame rails? Am guessing your design is torsionally stiffer than mine was and no bad thing!
