Thanks. Yes I used to do lots of archery. I still have a couple of bows and lots of arrows. And yes, I started out with the English longbow and the yew is a magical tree to me.

Lovely build, have enjoyed from start to finish! I built a recumbent several years ago. It began with a set of Atomic Zombie Tomahawk plans but after seeing the Raptobike Lowracer that was getting good reviews, ended up being front wheel drive and quite nice to ride....I was really relieved when the drivetrain worked because it was a bit of a gamble looking back! Mine used 1/16 gauge 1.5" square tube & for the fwd I made a heavier duty fork from rectangular tubing. I over engineered it just in case & used sturmey archer drum brakes so it was no lightweight. Fast downhill though lol. What size tube did you use for the frame rails? Am guessing your design is torsionally stiffer than mine was and no bad thing!
I like this design! Wow! Instead of a stick bike, you have basically a big fork.

Ha ha. Do it. It was just over 40 lbs but that is with the heavy hub/ wheels and cheap parts.

do you think 25.4 mm x 1.58mm square tube would work? or 31.75 mm x 1.58mm?that's what I have at home depot near me in america lol..
