About the artist:
Roderick David "Rod" Stewart, CBE (born 10 January 1945) is a British singer-songwriter and one of the best selling artists of all time, having sold over 100 million records worldwide.
In the UK, he has had six consecutive number one albums, and his tally of 62 hit singles include 31 that reached the top 10, six of which gained the number one position. He has had 16 top ten singles in the U.S, with four of these reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
With his distinctive raspy singing voice, Stewart came to prominence in the late 1960s and early 1970s with The Jeff Beck Group and then with the Faces. He launched his solo career in 1969 with his début album An Old Raincoat Won't Ever Let You Down (US: The Rod Stewart Album). His early albums were a fusion of rock, folk music, soul music and R&B. His aggressive blues work with The Jeff Beck Group and the Faces influenced heavy metal genres. From the late 1970s through the 1990s, Stewart's music often took on a New Wave or soft rock/MOR quality, and in the early 2000s he released a series of successful albums interpreting the Great American Songbook.

Mary, I feel what you’re feeling. I lost my husband of 41 years in May 2022 unexpectedly and feel I didn’t get the chance to say good ye or tell himI loved him one last time and make sure he knew how very much I loved him.
Our spirits live on. Our bodies are just the vehicles to carry us through this thing called life (here on earth).
I lost both of my parents 4 1/2 months apart shortly before my fourth birthday. I used to wonder if it was true that they were still with me. It took my 8 month old son to convince me beyond doubt.
He used to sometimes look over my shoulder and stare without blinking. I became concerned at one point and told my husband I was worried maybe something was wrong with him. My husband, being the simple and practical person he was said “just ask him what he’s looking at the next time he does that” .
Well, the next time he did that I did ask him and he looked at me and said mother Marie came again.
Well, my mother’s name was Marie. I guess she was there to see her grandson.
This was life-changing for me because I knew then she was right there with me all along. There’s no way a baby that young could make that up.
This has helped me deal with my husbands sudden departure and I hope this will help others who are broken hearted over losing their loved ones… they are not gone, they are nearby…the spirit lives on after it departs the body.
Take comfort in knowing you will see your husband again and pay attention and you might just feel his presence.
May God hold you in His loving embrace and I give you strength, peace and hope.

On the contrary, quality of life is getting better. It's just millennials who have different tastes in music. There are still enough people who love this kind of energy. Sure hearing it over the radio may be different because back then, you didn't have easy access. Hearing it over the radio, only when it comes on was the only access. That makes it quite special. Now we just TH-cam and tadaa. Also please, music is always evolving. You can't just always make the same tunes. Every artist has a different story to tell, in a different tune, from a different time. Gotta appreciate the good music and not just disregard the current music simply because you liked the energy of a song from the early days. I may not have put it in the best of words, I study English as a second language. You're free to have your tastes too. I just don't like the idea of choosing one over the other for the sake of it. My mother used to sing this me as a lullaby. though she admits she doesnt have the best singing voice when she sung this to me at the time i could hear the angels surrounding her voice putting me to sleep. After so many years 3 decades to be more precise finding the song and its origin. I can see why she gave this me for my memories just to resurface. I feel like I have been dead for a long time. my mom passed away a few weeks ago and i have been having one way conversations with her hoping that she was ok where she was at, and she threw the line from this song "you fill my heart with gladness" into my head while i was cleaning her room out, and i just randomly sang it out loud and i have not heard this song in like 5 years and i knew there was no way it just randomly popped in my head. as soon as the rest of the lyrics came to me i busted down crying knowing she was telling me everything was fine and that she loved me.

I totally love rod Stewart have done since I was a teenager.my daughter use to sing along with me when I played rods songs.when she was 21 she used to sit with me in my sewing room rod came on my radio singing this song which we both sang along to I told her to mk sure this song was played at my funeral she said I promise u mum it will be played .yet fate raised its ugly head and ended her life so tragically she was murdered .she was only 23YRS old.this song was the last song we sang together and we brought the house down.everyone congratulated both of us.
