Nowadays, when they build new flats they sell most of them privately to fund the rest and only provide parking for the private flats. I grew up in London around this time and we played in an old bombed out house, building sites, derelict factories and around the gas works. I climbed up the rope hanging from the side of a gasometer once when painters left it hanging over the weekend.
This would make a great film. Those mothers are hero’s!
I miss 70s London, I used to go stop at my Irish relatives who lived in ponders end..Brings back great memories of a by gone era 🫶
i lived in the street here,my brothers and sisters remember them filming and i think i saw one of my brothers. at 8.32!

Working classes have been moved out , now flats are being rented for £2000 a month £462 a week , happening all over now .
This looks later than 1972 ... Possibility
