Yes Sir! I just learned about those a few days ago. These things are a game changer. Makes it possible for people who are not really strong enough to go by themselves, to go by themselves. Edited to add: I like that stool too. I think I'll get me one as well...
STELLAR recommendation on these tent stakes!! We do mostly desert camping, and its not sandy- it’s rock hard freaking impossible to stake in. These stakes are amazing, so easy- and we found that even in softer terrain, these were near impossible to dislodge! Excellent excellent product!! Thanks for the video and tips here! You rock!!
I always bring my impact driver on my backpacking trips--never leave home without it.... Ok, more seriously, its a good tip for car camping where weight and volume is not an issue.
True... If I were hiking I would end up having to use a rock or something to secure the lines. No way I'm carrying a drill or impact driver. I'm doing good to carry myself.
Amazing tip here! Definitely going to check these stakes out! we’re starting to do some dark sky / hot tent & desert camping, and the ground is 99% hard as well, a rock! Great video & super helpful! Thanks!
@@beastmodecamping That's actually pretty funny because last year I was living much farther North where frozen ground was an issue and this year in a tornado area.
yah, we generally say 45 degrees in most of our videos, i think in this one we were really just wanting to show you the drillable stakes. Good catch though :)

Yah, these are a game changer... we camp often in oklahoma and pretty much on a boulder. we wouldnt be able to hold our tents down without them!

Glad we could help and thanks for the comment! Love it when the community engages!
Awesome, thanks for sharing.
You bet!
Here we have the Canadian Shield.
That's a job pitching on that.
sounds difficult, how do you endup pitching in that environment? I'm guessing you do the 2 rock method?
Very useful tip. Cheers!
Should work on frozen ground too
Absolutely. They sure do!
Also work great in tornado weather hahah

All stakes, including the drill in/bolt type should be at a 60 degree angle, not perpendicular to the ground...

Came looking for cave man. Stayed cause I'm tired of breaking tent stakes.
Where you been cosbyfish???? Long time no see. You get some drillable stakes?
@@beastmodecamping not yet but I found the cave man! Is the tent thing still a go?
