well...she did free him....and come back for him. It hurts that he doesn't trust Emma right now (understandable) but he's also fairly trusting of people until and unless they screw him over by which I mean he takes people at their word/their word means a lot (because his does as well).

Even after everything he’s been throughout this episode he was still determined to know the truth.
