    I made a similar beer with 50/50 pilsner and wheat. 1/3 oz of Motueka and Galaxy hops at flameout , got that Kiwi/Aussie hop combo from down under. Added 3 lb passionfruit too. Mate....Best sour I've made yet.

    Hey man great video! I’m planing on making a sour once I get my home brewery set back up. What’s your thought on using a fish tank heater to keep the beer at temperature durning the souring process?

    Got a question: 5 days after fermentation, so do you take out the yeast first and then add in the purée or the keep the yeast ?

    Probably a dumb question, but what do you think the outcome would have been if you put in the peach right away vs waiting 5 days? Off flavors from the yeast eating the peach? Something else?

    Excited to try this but curious about how you calculated ABV if the OG reading was before peach and FG was after the peach?

      The beer is done fermenting so the peach puree won't affect the abv. Cheers Andre!

    Hey guys love the vid and I definitely want to try brewing this, Sounds delicious. I have a robobrew which is very similar to the grain father. I was wondering if there is any contamination that would linger for the machine on beers going forward. Would all beers be partial sours from then on?

    Just in case anyone is wondering, it is possible to sour in an igloo cooler. I have done it once before after watching this video. It gets over 90 degrees F in the summer where I live, so I pitched the lacto when the wort was about 110-115 and left the cooler outside overnight. Next day the temp was still 105 and the ph had dropped from roughly 5.3 to 3.3.

      HOMEBREW 4 LIFE Yeah. I’m sure adding water to dry ice and pumping it into a vessel would give a similar effect. Dry ice is basically solid co2.

    Gonna give this a go with the Lallemand Philly Sour yeast instead of kettle souring, it's meant to give off peachy esters. Double the peach double the fun

    How important is purging oxygen out before letting the lacto sour it? My brew kettle doesnt have those hookups but it does have temp control. Love the channel braj

    Need to keep this beer cold always? Does it need to ferment out all of the puree before I keg? How long before keg after adding the puree?

      If you wanna drink cold beer then keep it cold, and if you dont want cold beer then dont keep it cold. And the answer to the other questions have the exact answers in the video

      you can kettle sour without purging, but because lacto is an anaerobic (no oxygen) bacteria, limiting oxygen, helps select against aerobic (oxygen)

    Do you need to correct the OG for the sugars in the puree or no? I added my puree and it started fermenting again so some conversion is taking place. Im guessing not enough to really effect the abv?

    Making this kettle sour now, I forgot to boil before putting in the lactobacillus into the kettle. Is this a huge deal because I’ll boil before fermenting? Or should I just pour it out and start over?

    Loved this video! Still blows my mind that people use goodbelly drink to sour rather than pure lactobacillus. Is it because there’s extra sugars involved? All the other ingredients would freak me out hahaha (Still might try it)
