Average Joe VS Pro *RAW WAVES*

- On the Morning of the main day at the JBay Classic while waiting for the call for the contest to start, the line up was filled with pro surfers and average Joe's in some challenging conditions..
The swell was big and had a bit of North Wind up the face (not great) which you can see on some of the waves. The tide was also low, so it created a kind of double wave in front of the wave you where surfing also making it difficult to read what the wave was going to do.
It was still good to see the mix in the lineup and to see everyone charging.

@@gurudogg123 thanks gurudogg😎 I love it too.. I do put some music to some videos.. but always leave the ocean sound in.. usually if it says *Raw Waves* in the title it means “no music” just the sound of the ocean as if you were there sitting on the beach watching! 😎🙏
As a former (1971-1992) regular foot surfer who rode Rincon, J Bay is THE most beautiful wave on Earth.

Why is there a buoy looking thing in the middle of some of the smaller waves?
@@shawnmogogog I was also wondering why the buoy was there.. I think it might have been there for the comp to indicate to the free surfers surfing lower down that they can’t come up beyond the buoy. 😎 or it could have been there to indicate where the key hole was to come in.but it did seem a bit above the key hole.. but still not sure 😊
Surf pretty good for just being average so is there only 3 categories of surfing kooks average and pro?

Funny I know alot of great surfers who are turned off by organized pro shmo contest surfing so that makes them average
That pretty much sums it up. The average category has quite a bit of range, though.
