    Nicely made unit,.carefully laid out step by step build. Now what about, long pants, safety shoes or boots, full face shield and ear protection as well as suitable work gloves.....You'll learn when one or two of those flying chips hits you in the wrong place,.....But the video in an of itself is a good piece of work. Thanks.

    Did you have to balance the wheel ? I was thinking of making a similar machine but was concerned about the bearing life of an un balanced mass .

  • @Meticularius
    @Meticularius 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    The music is so rousing I shall go out and conquer yards everywhere. Your triumph is my vicarious victory. That is an IMPRESSIVE MACHINE. You have earned the place of honorary Meticularian, which means you are capable of interrelating disparate indices to discern and chart: "What is the square root of blue," and " What sound does the color yellow make?" (For other readers: yes, there are real answers to these questions, and are not schizophrenic reachings into the wind, but are workable methods of developing troubleshooting skills, independent of your native I.Q) Ale Via, Regardless of whatever errors, if any, or comments from the less well endowed, you have herein proven your consummate ability to design and execute within formal traditional units of mathematical discourse the material powers which make smaller units from larger ones. It is my privilege to welcome you to the precious few international treasures (of which I am not one, but merely a servant of) which make our world great. I am privileged to have seen this video, and become so fired up from your choice of music, that I'm going to go up a ladder with a chainsaw and make smaller branches from larger ones. Have a good week Sir.

    It seems like so many people are just chomping at the bit to point out other peoples mistakes or offer advice on here. Yes there are cheaper and less time consuming ways to get a mulcher, but if building things is a hobby you enjoy, what would you do with the time and money you save by buying one? Go buy a bass boat, rods, reels, bait, fishing license, trailer license, gas etc. to catch a fish when you could just go to the store and buy one? Hell, you can get someone to catch the fish for you, clean it, cook it, make you a glass of tea, bring it to you, and clean up the dishes cheaper than you could do it yourself. Red Lobster. But its still fun to go fishing aint it.

    Salve, gradirei sapere il diametro del rotore e lo spessore della lamiera utilizzata, la distanza interna tra i due dischi che costituiscono il rotore. La lamiera per il carter carter che spessore ha?.
    Io sto costruendo qualcosa di simile al tuo ma senza saldature tra le varie parti che costituiscono il biotrituratore. Le lame utilizzate dove li hai acquistate?
    Spero di poter postare il filmato del mio a breve. Saluti Fra Gio

    The machine was well done , but I think you just missed the nozzle inlet anglo, in my view if the nozzle inclination degree was smaller cut would be softer because there would be no effect suction from the carrier disc knives.

    I found another way to mulch for free. I have one driveway and almost five cars drive over it every day. Every time you walk past your driveway, throw down a stick (nothing too thorny, poky, or hard!) and that's all you have to do! By the end of the week you will have a tiny pile of mulch. This is the stupidest thing I've ever done but I'm desperate for mulch and I figure enough will accumulate over the year to make it worth the minimal effort and zero cost.

      My mulcher has 2.2kW (3HP) and works with domestic electricity at 1400rpm. There are two hard steel blades mounted on the flywheel. I built the flywheel with two discs ( 300 mm diameter, 12 mm thickness) welded 50 mm distant each other. As you can see on the video there are also some hammers but I think in my case are not so effincient. Recently I have completed another mulcher a little bit different like this but at the moment there isn't the video on youtube.

      with an overload it will stop, the rotor is already a flywheel...
