I love Carol Lynn Pearson, dearly. She exudes so much love that it’s easy to love her back. What a godly woman she is.

Thank you Carol for being so vulnerable and strong. What a blessed daughter of God. You have truly increased our understanding, especially as most of us are touched by the reality of those who experience LGBT. My heart is deeply touched. I also resonate with questions about plural marriage and the role of woman and know that we as women are more important than we realize. We are truly the crowing creation of our Heavenly Father! "My Turn on Earth" so important to my childhood. No longer believe but the songs still run through my head. A much more positive take on the religion.

We loved you and Jerry (one of the two Jerry’s)! At The Gathering Place! One of my first dates with my future husband, Dr. Barnett Seymour Salzman, was to the Castle to see, “Mother, Mother, Mom.” I think it was Barnett who secured the location, being the new Jewish convert psychiatrist on staff there at the mental hospital. I was too dizzy to make the connection of our Gerry at the GP and the fabulous poet who wrote this play! Your poetry, that first book, was a vital part of my life. -And continues to sustain my quest for depth and understanding!!!! You are a heroine to us Mormon hippie/musicians!

Have you interviewed Carol’s daughter Emily? Her story is fascinating. She also married a gay man in the temple and then divorced. She’s written an incredible book called Dancing with Crazy. If you haven’t, please do!!

Shame on anyone who supports or condones this kind of bigotry discrimination and hate in ANY organization.
What harm does LDS Inc cause? hmmm....

I find it interesting and sad that people would brag about relatives past while they followed a false religion. Like being proud of your 5-6 grandfather for being a sea captain even if he was in the slave trade! Ridiculous

Compare the works of Carol with Susan Easton Black to know who is biased, slanted,... and know who is telling substantiated facts.

Homosexuality has a heavy judgment administered by God Himself upon those who commit it and support it. Leviticus 18:22,
Leviticus 20:13,.1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Romans 1:26-28. The Bible doesn't speak of homosexuality very often. But when it does, it condemns it as sin.

The one thing the church has taught me is that no prophet is perfect. Unless Christ said it I always filter it through what he would do and how he treated people.

It sounds like you must feel quite righteous doing the chapter and verse quotes. Righteousness when used to lessen others is considered a less than sterling quality. There are several passages that condemn self righteousness. No one can stand in judgement except God Himself. So I suggest you keep your opinions to only yourself and those who think exactly the same.

How many mormons excuse abuses in the church by claiming, People aren't perfect but the gospel is!! Members are far from guiltless.
