A great technique for making the damage output of the Imperial Arquebusiers higher without using volley fire is to use the 1 ability and as soon as they fired in unison press x to move them into a slightly different position and then use the 1 ability. This you can repeat as often as you wish and it is a higher damage output than just letting them shoot after the 1 key for an extended period of time or just using v

Of course it's not nessessary to move the unit a little with x, but after the initial volley it always feels like some units just don't fire or take too long to fire after their first shot, so I think it's great that a mechanic like this shuffle tip exists. I personally can't wait to try it out :D

Idk if its t'he new purple doctrines or what, but prefecture archers are amazing again. Killed 130 enemies with them in a Allenburg defence match. You should revisit them.
@@EvoLozGaming Yep, I also prefer them over namkhan now, while Namkhan are still decent, their damage output is fairly low compare to before and the prefecture archer can just blast arrow rain on anyone

well, the devs kill range units totally in this game, after musket's bombs and bows, now i can't use any range units while there are too many of axe raiders.
I find that my rattan marksman with two epic armor pen doctrines kill them fairly fast, if they aren't focused on them or if i manage to postion them out of reach. Other archer i have have a real hard time killing them as they usally can just repostion away from them since they are so tanky.

As for the imperials i really want the devs to add detailed numbers like blockbreak since i still go top line but i have absolutely no idea what it exactly does. And it feels like they have gotten too weak compared to what they used to be and a lot of it isn't really their fault. All muskets got their rof nerfed pretty hard and the imps really suffered from it since it basically halved the number of shots they fired during their volley fire. Berserkers, axe raiders, palace guard are very hard to kill since you need not only burst damage but accurate burst damage. Musket bomb builds being popular means that they are a great and easy target since they need to be close to the fight but are also incredibly vulnerable to fire and bombs. Honestly i would think most musket units have at least the fire resistant trait. I think shinji's have better dps on a per model basis and they have the accuracy to back it up, nothing wrong with the imperials i just think the game has outclassed them a bit
yup Imperial Arquebusier is my MUST HAVE units now. just like before i did for my Stalwatz. and yea. These Axe Raiders are extremely dangerous and annoying. no one can protect their range units when Axe Raider arrive
I dont really bother to spawn musket units or range unit in general anymore. They are just gonna get massacre by the dual axe despite you are being protected by 5 other surrounding units
Bro I dont really know what season you play there XD whenever I play now I just get completely erased by a tooooon of Keshigs and Axe raiders all the time, its so broken! Or did they fix axe guys?
For kheshigs, just use the IPG and Modao, Shenji Grenadier can also counter if play properly with the grenades and pavise stuns. Axe raiders are honestly a problem and I really don't know what counter them beside the obvious cavalries
They may have extremely high DPS, but their aim is complete SHIT. I'm very new to musket units myself and don't have that many unlocked: only these guys as Auxiliaries and recently unlocked Janissaries at the moment. But I have to say, of the two, I definitely prefer the Janissaries.
They're really nice but yeah they are one of those units that need to be LVL'd, Tech noded and Doctrine'd up. Makes them one of the most Honour expensive units in the game but if you lay down a good volley, it's a really good volley.

It is not the EoD update for GW2, it is the EoD EXPANSION. That being said, Imp Arqs are one of my favorite units.

how you get musket doctrines? i opened alot but i got crossbow or archer doctrines. How did you get it

They are pretty inaccurate but when shooting into a large group it doesn't matter so much. Doctrines and tech tree nodes can also help improve
