Amen. Good to see another recent post. Check out mine. Hope you're enjoying a great car now! I wanted a 77 Cougar XR 7, but couldn't get a good deal. Once I drove the Monte Carlo and got a great deal as it was one of the last two at the dealership, I never regretted it.
Bought a duplicate to this 77 Monte Carlo new and kept in for six years until rust became an issue even though it had been rustproofed. At the time it was considered a mid size and was smaller than previous cars. But looking out over that long sculptured hood I felt like king 🤴 of the road. Loved the styling and power and smooth ride. Looked at the down sized 79 and couldn't see it. So much less for a lot more money. After the Monte Carlo, went back to LAND YACHTS and have been there ever since. Currently have beautiful 😍 2007 TOWN CAR and will never let it get away. But even that doesn't compare to 70s and 80s cars like this Monte Carlo or previous Lincolns and Cadillacs I have owned. Turn back the clock. Those were the days!
Had a sterling silver one with moon roof. Best God Damn car I ever owned. Not kidding. Loved it. I'm 5'8" and I could sleep on the bench seat all spread out. Ugly red interior but loved it. Loved my AM radio in the dash.

never understood why nobody ever puts the price if i were selling these cars i would . always loved the black 70s monte carlo. had one but in to bad a shape.mine was maroon colored.
I got a 1974 Monte Carlo purple black racing stripes center line wheels all the way around spoiler on it wouldn't get rid of it ever needs some work but got a racing cam in motor been offer 3000 8000 and 10000 just the way it is I know I got me a good thing

Best car I ever owned. Whenever my friends got stranded in the snow they called me. This thing is a fucking tank.

I had a black 77 with the white vinyl top back in the late 80s. Makes me sick now I had to let it go.
