    1. Focus a bit more on priorities :) You weren't ready for winter, not ready (bows and shields) for bandit raid, and you went to do irrelevant things (like gather copper pieces). Quests are good but also gear up.
    2. Someone said to make storages for specific use. Listen to that. Cuts wasted time by a lot.
    3. Use the workers smarter. You have a perfect hunter and you have him researching and building. Have him hunt and trap.
Use the girl for logging and harvesting for now, later make her a runner.
Use the 3rd guy for research and cooking so he will always be on village premises and not venture far, so food wont get burned.
Use the last guy as companion I'd say and as you run around doing quests also take bandits out with him. When you dont need him have him run and move stuff between storages.
    4. At night, stay in camp and do crafts. Make gear, armors, tools and stations, so you can progress faster and more efficiently.
With 3 ppl you dont have luxury to be lazy :D
I love watching playthrough for such games, and you are great to watch! Just be a bit smarter and don't just try to get it done to finish it ;)

Kage when you recruit villagers from towns they automatically become companions, so open your world map and right click your village so they Run to it and Than dismiss them into a Worker once they are there, that way you dont have to wait for them to Walk half way across the world map 😁 and aslong as they dont have "Hold Ground" turn on at the character info screen than they wont stay and fight enemies if they run into any on their way.
    Great Videos!

Reminder: tell the farmer to give the potion only two times a day!
Also, related to this, I recommend getting a notepad (physical or like a digital one on your phone) to write down things like this, so you know what you needed to do for quests and also things you wanted to accomplish for the next episode. It really helps you remember, especially when you're playing several games at the same time and there's days or even a week between episodes. Just give each game its own tab and write down things you want to work on next and important information to remember like with this potion quest.

      Quick side-note to this:
Steam has a built-in notepad for every game.
Just open the Steam overlay and hit the "Notes"-button.
Those notes are a per game thing, so you wont see notes from "Game A", when playing "Game B".
I use this for loads of different games - especially games where I might not play them for a few days. Makes it so much easier to keep track of everything, and it's cloud-based as well (so this works across systems and re-installs).

You can actually chop down trees and young trees that are close to the village , just swing the axe like a weapon and hit the trees , it'll fall down and can be chopped up , i found this useful at mid game where you can build structures for your villages .

You can press 'K' so you can easily assemble your army instead of going to the army tab. You'll just need to toggle the reservist option for your villagers. Also once you get to Tier 2 you'll unlock the gear presets and the staging ground where villagers will equip their presets automatically once you order them to the staging ground. You can also move your army when your in the map view, you just click on any part of the map and they'll move there.

Put storage on the roads around the village. Tell them to not allow anything to be stored.
When you are running between locations grab everything on the ground. Drop them in those storages.
Grab all plants, mushrooms, rocks branches, copper, tin. Everything is valuable.
You delivery people will move the items to storage in your village.
It is faster for them to move resources than to gather resources. This means that you will quickly have a huge supply of resources and they will spend more time doing other tasks.
This is really valuable for river reeds. You can cut your travel time and gather more reeds per trip.
In the village build more storage. Place 2 by your cooking area. 1 for only uncooked food and 1 for cooked food.
Do the same for production areas. And 1 next to research. Minimize travel times for your crafters and researchers.
Your junky citizens can be dedicated to delivery, freeing up the crafter and researchers to spend as much time working as possible.
As an example, for the cooking area you will want
4 to 10 wood stored, so that they never have to walk far.
You can also limit how many of each item is allowed per storage. You can prioritize storage. This way the storage near crafting and research will have some of all resources that they need, then the excess will go into general storage farther away.
You can put storage near traps. Allow berries, mushrooms and meat. This allows your hunters to always have berries and mushrooms for traps and they can quickly drop off uncooked meat. You delivery people will stock mushrooms and berries and moved the uncooked meat to the cooking storage.
I never figured out what to do with pelts, you will collect way more than needed. I'd end up dumping excess in the latrine

If you want to cheese renown.
Place a storage near a bandit camp. Place a fence around it. You can climb over the fence, the bandits can't. Put several stacks of arrows in the storage. Set it as an outpost.
Put the storage near to a road with a sign post for easy fast travel.
Stand on top of the storage and fire an arrow into town. The bandits will charge you and stand at the fence.
If you don't clear the bandit flag you can do this every few days, safely killing the toughest bandits for renown, books, and coins.
This also allows you to hunt animals and have spare arrows and somewhere to dump resources.
Because it is an outpost, you can set up trades to send resources back to the village and keep a stock of arrows and a few cooked food.

The only time I ever have any issues with food being burned is if they start cooking it just before they go to sleep. If I see food cooking at night, I just make sure that I'm watching it to get it off before it burns.

bandits don't jump walls at the road, so they run to the end and go around, a good tactic when using a bow.

renown is an early game concern. soon enough you will have way too much to spend.
I found that early on doing the manual labor stuff helps you grow the town faster. gathering and even building and farming. once you have 4-5 people then you can fade out and just do that stuff at night to speed things along.
get ALL quests in the towns. you missed one in Hearndean. look for the '...' on the mini map. (and that is likely the one with 500 gold possible if you dont just kill the guy like you did last season. lol)
quests are easiest way to get renown and reputation points.
bandits are best killed with bow and arrow, but you only get archery experience by using it, so shoot shoot shoot... but save first cuz deer take two hits unless you hit them perfectly and chasing them is not easy.
currently bandits cannot break fences, so you can build a square in advance and climb inside and shoot them all day. you do need a single diagonal fence inside to climb on so you can shoot over your own fence. Last run I defeated whole armies alone doing that. Not looking forward to that being fixed.

    • @Slackware1995
      @Slackware1995 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

You can build a storage with fencing around it. The bandits can't get to the storage and damage it if you are away. You can stand on the storage and safely shoot arrows at the bandits.
It's a cheesy way to take out high tier bandit camps also.
Even more cheese. If you are farming bandits for renown you can stock arrows in the storage and never run out. You can then drop excess loot in the storage.
A signpost near the storage makes fast travel easy.

You have to put a cook on cooking only otherwise he will get distracted and burn things, like gathering is bad cos he will venture too far aways, definitely a cook has to be a dedicated one at some point.

The simple cords were probably spoken-for by a crafting process and waiting for a deliverer to deliver it (which is why it was reported as 0). When you start getting a bigger village, you're going to want dedicated deliverers and those (for midgame) are going to be all your first villagers who don't have cool traits to make them viable for higher level stuff. Beggars are a waste of food though and to be avoided like dullards and gluttons...and I think the research trait only speeds up the process so it's pretty meaningless.

They should make it so books can push villager skills higher than their default max. Say once they hit max lvl in crafting at 2, you could have them read books to create a new xp bar that can then be leveled up by crafting or reading more books. So it would take a lot longer to lvl them but give you the ability to keep whatever citizen you want and build their stats to your liking. I just want to turn my beggar into a great soldier or farmer and really change his life. At the moment I just strip them naked and send them off.
