Wife didn’t deserve the fate she suffered in the first life, but after the ML’s rebirth she was just a nuisance.
As ML past life he does not deserved to be a father or husband in his past life he sold his daughter and wife died and his daughter was living hell life so she wants to die also ML nothing got punishment for what he did in his past life he just died with regrets so that's not a punishment for him
