Amazing video and great tutorial! I've seen so many trainers teach bad form on the ski erg. Bad form can lead to injuries. Keep up the great work!

Thanks a lot dude. Have always struggled with developing power on this machine and often get a sore lower back from doing it. I'll take some of your cues and see what I can improve

Great introduction video to mastering 30% of the SkiErg’s capacity.
The way the SkiErg is commonly used in a CrossFit oriented setup is subpar to its potential use. It’s way too easy!
Completely ignoring the SkiErg’s huge potential for training the core and stabilizer muscles throughout the body (especially in the lower extremities).
If you ever do cross country skiing or roller skiing, it’s immediately evident that the static way (displayed here) of using the SkiErg misses out in so many ways.
Upping the game for your stabilizers, balance and coordination is a great investment in a functional, healthy and athletic body.
Get inspired from this video th-cam.com/video/yVvoLcCyfL8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wpD1E-Mn-_iW-GqI and make the workout even harder and more effective from a functional fitness perspective.
    Keep up the great work/
    Cheers

Thank you for your comment but the purpose of this machine in a CrossFit setting is just raw mono structural conditioning. It is not to mimic skiing. Adding a bosu ball or a cut foam roller may definitely make the movement mimic skiing and work more stability/core work. But it won’t help improve power output and help you push the intensity. CrossFit is mixed modal so we have to ski and then walk on our hands or ski and then snatch heavy. There are many more efficient ways in our training to develop midline stability than adding instability to the ski erg.
      Cool concept though!
