final fight cd was one of those system sellers for sure! Great conversion, good soundtrack, many sprites on the screen at once but very hard in 2 player mode as not enough credits were available to the players, which made the game a real challenge to beat.. Apart from that really weak voice acting, this game is pure win!

and I haven't seen a port more superior to it's arcade version I mean here the graphics are superior the GBA version had 5 characters this may be the Most accurate to the arcade version that can exist Not just most accurate no BEST version the music is basically it's own take actually every port of this game had it's own take SNES and GBA even had different takes
Not arcade perfect as some are making out. The colour palette has been drastically and noticeably reduced and there's lag when players carry a weapon or do grab moves on an enemy plus there's sprite flicker. The attack combos are slower too. This aside it's still the second best port next to the Sharp X68000 and that's something to be very proud of indeed! This video is also probably the best use of Guy I've ever seen. Great technique!
The colors are fine IMO, the whole thing looks great when playing on a CRT (or at least with some scanlines) as it's meant to be. Then the slower combo speed is a bit annoying but not game breaking (apparently this has something to do with how the Mega-CD works, I guess the speed would have been accurate if the port was made on Mega Drive instead - which I actually would have preferred as I consider the Mega-CD more like a RPG/simulation/FMV machine than an arcade one, especially since loadings aren't arcade-friendly). No the only real grievance I have towards Final Fight CD is that one frame delay when using/throwing stuff, weird that the developers overlooked such a thing given the overall polish of this version. But otherwise this is an excellent port, especially in its japanese form which has slightly better presentation & much better voice acting.
The Planet Magerathea, I agree, it looks pretty shabby, even for a Megadrive. When you compare it to the graphics in things like Streets Of Rage you wonder where they went wrong. The X68000 was indeed the superior port but despite the rough graphics and glitches the Mega-CD was a cracking conversion.

Wouldn't the punch loop combo get you through Damnd in stage 1 much faster? There wouldn't be any whistling for enemies that way.
He may be preferred to fight more enemies than to finish Damnd quickly.
@@vinceorbe8539 it's a speed run, finishing more quickly is the goal and not having to fight multiple waves of enemies saves serious time

The Sharp X68000 was the best port that was made. I think the Sega CD comes second. Both excellent!
