@@ASmolBean Dealing with Ed's baiting game is annoying af, but many high level players complain they have to fight too defensively with him to bait stuff out from strong characters and it's easy to drop his links (supposedly his links are the hardest in the game to master and be consistent with, which can get you killed mid-round during big combo drops).

Bro, for real? I think Akuma is not that competitive, I'm playing but his hitboxes are super weak and ANY character can melt his HP so quickly. And yes, a lot of jump ins from fking nowhere because Akuma frame data are too fking slow
@@MatheusQzi think it's a case of the character being difficult to play , also the fact he's relatively new and not fully explored , but he's also definitely not the very best character in the game . He just doesn't have anything that's abnormally difficult to deal with , the fact he has the slowest drive rush out of any shoto doesn't help either , he can't even land a punish after perfect parry fireball into dr at medium distance , where as Ken can at full distance of lukes fireball for example. I think he is a rank , behind s rank .

Also Tokido actually beat Knight to the button in every exchange but only lost because Knight's character -- Ed -- swings so much faster than Kuma. It's ridiculous. If Akuma was just as fast as Ed, he would literally be winning these exchanges.
Akuma is worst than part 5 Akuma. His Air Fireball is hot garbage and he is a disadvantage in a lot of match ups. Who cares about his damage. Take away the damage and fix his Air Fireball and improve his health!!! Geez!!!
I agree this version of Akuma looks far inferior to badass SF 4 Akuma who had a really fast walk speed, amazing fireballs/air fireballs, super art, ultras, and a great sweep for insane oki vortex. I don't use him though and Akuma can fight most of the cast, but he definitely doesn't feel as strong as he should be.
4:20 I have an idea how about your opponent actually have the chance to break free of some CA if the player hits some specific buttons fast or something ! Sure it s gonna still deal damage but less and maybe cost some of drive bars ... something like that ! I m just saying .NB been playing fighting games for three decades on pc and other machines like arcade of course
