Not sure why but this was a fun video that TH-cam decided to throw onto my home page today! And watching rugs get made plus commentary is just amazing!
Truly think that having a community of people that can grow and think with you is better than making a tiktok pop off and having all those people not know or care about you at all. The comment section loves you back! ♥️
real tho 😭 i’d rather spend months on a youtube video and get small meaningful interaction from viewers than crank out forgettable tiktoks like back in the day
From my experience, learning to do things you care about for yourself and not for others is one of the hardest things to accept. Trust me on this, the stress over videos and how people will perceive them will stay, but it'll be more of a dull noise rather than a neighbor mowing their lawn at 7 am on a saturday vibe if you know what I mean. Community is a wonderful thing, and what you've cultivated really shows that. You are doing great, regardless of what the numbers and stats tell you. Congrats on 1000 subs (now 1100 WHOA)
Honestly, that’s why I stopped posting. It feels like everything became more and more of a business deal then a fun little video for me. Honestly even though this is the first video I watched I want to watch the rest. Your a very charismatic, and insightful person. I think you just being you is entertaining. It’s like talking to an old friend, which I always find so beautiful and comforting in creators.
so real… even if you start with pure intentions the very nature of posting online makes it almost impossible to not cater toward your metrics to SOME degree, and teetering that line between business and fun little videos is exhausting 😭 also tysm i’m so glad you like the channel please stick around 🥹💕💕
@@doothi for sure. Posting online is a hard thing to do. Because if I love this video everyone else should to, and if they doesn’t love it why? Is it something wrong with me and my intrests, or what I think is cool, so on, which you did mention in the video. Posting online is fun until it isn’t, and I feel too many people get wrapped up super fast in posting for the algorithm so the fact you already acknowledge this fact puts you on a pretty great trajectory
I hardly ever watch videos that are recommended to me. And even when I do, I personally usually don’t stick around. Your content is great as it is. Glad you’re not doing what others are. We’re all here for it 👍🏾
as someone that has spent a lot of time trying to write and edit videos in a way that they blow up- and still not seeing much success in that- this video was motivating. i feel that at the end of the day, the most important part of creating content is making something that you are personally and creatively fulfilled in. Like, if a video blew up but it was not something I put my all into, it would not feel as exciting because I knew I could’ve done better. so thank you for inspiring me to not focus on analytics so much :)
realll i’ve had videos blow up on tiktok in the past that took me 30 seconds and gave me no fulfillment or pride. it’s an instant boost of dopamine when looking at the views and likes but, overall, the contentment i was getting from my content was slim to none… prioritizing creative fulfillment and trusting that those who see value in your work will find you is honestly a hard and foreign concept but it’s the delusion we all need as creatives to keep going 😭💕
@@doothi thank you sm! That makes me feel incredible. It’s fun to be able to relate to someone on a smaller level like this. Love ur content btw, quality I strive for
hey dooth! i normally just leave likes on most videos on videos made by creators i like, but this feels like an important channel to comment on. i can't speak for everyone, but the cinemtography and slower, cozy pace to your videos is a complete breath of fresh air. i'd rather listen to someone reflect on their life than listen to the same drama i've heard about from everyone else. do what makes you happy, we'll be here to watch no matter what's on your mind. congrats on the 1k susbcribers! super cute rug!!
tysm! sometimes i grapple with wether my pace is a reasonable speed or mind numbingly dull (the struggle of Mr. Beautified TH-cam lol) but it makes me so genuinely happy to hear people prefer slower paced content 😭 tysm and merry christmas ☃️💕💕
After watching and comprehending this video at 1AM, I feel like your genuine passion, cinematography, and, cringe. Are some of your most important assets, you may see the "content trap" of youtube as a curse (it kinda is) but what I know you're capable of is continuing to pursue that want to just make, like you do with your rugs in your videos, they're an integral part to what makes you unique and not just that but the introspection and thought provoking nature of your videos always speak to me on a personal level, so thank you for sharing again Doothi, heres to a better 2024!
genuine passion, cinematography, and cringe are the holy trinity 😩 glad to hear the video resonated with you small creators have a universal experience fr 🫶🏼
Despite not having a constant upload scheduale, and having some different interests than my own I still find myself exicited whenever I see a notif from you ☺ I'll get it and be like "Oh, Doothi posted! I wonder what she's gonna talk about today? And, what rug design is she tufting now?" (Love the rug tufting along side the commentary btw, such a cool skill B)) I genuinly got kinda upset when I read the title tho like "Damn it not another one!? PLEASE noooo she just started posting 😭" But, I really do understand the struggle of wanting to be consistent with content online towards an audience. I starting sharing some of my art online yrs ago but recently got burnt out from trying to post every other day despite not having anything I liked and stuff people would be familair with enough to stay. It was really frustrating too especially since I'm a perfectionist so I'd never get a piece out in time relating with what was trending that week and would piss myself off 😭 So I decided to take a break till I got my shit together enough to go at it like everyone else until I realized it was to much work and time for something that was my hobby. I never thought something I did with so much passion would fizzle out completly??! The only reason why SOME people upload "all the time" is because they think their audince expect them to, but I don't think anyone really does. We all have other priorties to attent to, not enough time to do this and that, and demading or expecting a Creator to entertain you 24/7 is just selfish. Those people and unfortunately sometimes ourselves set such unrealistic expectations. Or just things that aren't possible at the moment and never may be. And I think that might be okay. Just post whenever and whatever you want! Who cares if that happened months go? We're talking about it now and right here! If your interested then great if not that's unfortunate hope you find something else to enjoy! If you DO want what others are doing then come up with a plan on how to make it there! Just take care of yourself enough both physically and mentally 👍 Those who stick around during that extended cricket chirping silence do think it's worthwhile enough to hang around, orrrr just simply forgot they Subed 😂 But they're worth it regardless and think the same of you ❤ so don't under appreciate you or your work!! WE LOVE CRINGE STUFF AND WE'RE SO HERE FOR IT 👹🔥😼 Also, I don't remember commenting that often or anything significantly important enough for you to mention me at the start, but I'm glad it was something positive enough for you to remember me. I'm honestly kinda honored 😳
THE REPLY NEVER POSTED 😭 but the perfectionism problem is so real for digital creators. i feel like it’s the number one cause of burnout; the constant need to pick apart our own creations through the lens of others until the initial joy is completely replaced by anxiety and (mostly) self-imposed judgment. i hope you keep creating for yourself and tysm a million for your comments they’re my favorite 🤭💕
this is such a refreshing channel, style of content, and look behind the scenes. i feel like so many youtubers are forced to characterize themselves and fit themselves into a box and an on-screen persona, especially the professionals who do it as their job. i think it’s awesome that you’re being so transparent about all this, and i’ll definitely be sticking around to support you! i think it might also be cool to do some more short-form content, like progress updates, if that’s something you’d feel was your style and that you’d enjoy. either way, i love how real and authentic you are. you’ve earned yourself a new doothead! (not entirely sure what to call the fanbase lol)
tysm!! 🥺💕 i kinda do wanna move into short form content in the new year so keep your eyes peeled fr 😤 also doothead is great tbh putting in on the list
this is such an insightful and funny video, great editing, and an adorable rug! Im glad youtube decided to recommend me this vid bc you have a great style, and im excited to see what you come up with in the future! merry christmas 🎄😎
I don't usually like commenting on things, but I wanted to say that I love your videos. I actually find it more enjoyable that you don't post as often as other people might, because it makes your videos feel more like a special occasion to look forward to, rather than just "content". It's kind of relaxing to see the rugs come together while you talk, and I like to listen to the videos while I work on art projects. There's plenty of commentators who talk about the latest trends or gossip, it's nice to have other people talking about more niche topics too. I'm excited to see what comes next, even if it takes awhile it's worth the wait. Happy New Years! (also someone in the comments said we should be called "tufties" and I'd like to second that)
How did you not get recommended to me before now! Random rabbit holes and art THOSE ARE THE VIDS I WANT TO MAKE! You're doing great❤ and I've learned people who really love someone content don't care when it comes out, they're just excited to see it. Drew good uploads once a month, but I rewatch his stuff far more often than once a week uploads. Quality takes time. Don't feel bad for putting that in
this means so much 😭 a community who cares more about quality than frequency of upload is what i really hope to continue cultivating and so far i’d say that rings true for you all 🥹 tysm!! 😭💕
your production value is insane. its so pleasing to watch, the lighting, the voice over quality, the footage its actually gorgeous and so crisp. this is the first video ive seen from you but its so well put together? the script too everything its just such a high standard. the work you put into your videos IS noticeable. at least for me, its a pretty unique video style (in terms of the looks of the video anyways) and i rlly like that congrats on 1.16k (as im writing this) youve earned one more subscriber :DD
I feel this so much, for real. As soon as I let go of the frustrations to be first to the finish line on a topic and instead started making my videos my own, I not only started to enjoy the creative process more, but people began engaging with the content way more. I wasn't pretending to be someone I wasn't, and just let go of what was holding me back. They get a game earlier than you, they get a product sent for free and early... It all feels "unfair" in your mind, but at the same point you check yourself mentally because you know you haven't reached a point like that yet. The big thing I always think to myself is, "use your unfair advantages". For some TH-cam Drama, people with a big audience of loyal viewers and who do this full-time, all the time, can create things so much faster. Even if you're first, it'll only be for a second. Their content is built on "being first", which is fine. But if you're trying to compete in a game wherein the team is already full, you're just gonna get benched. This analogy is messy, but oh well. The big point is that you have the advantage of time and creative freedom. No one expects you to be the one reporting temporary news, you can make anything you want about any possible topic. The other thing that I just ask myself a lot these days is "what's the lifespan of this video?" Is it just a bit of drama that'll blow over quickly? Or is it something that people can say "oh I loved that video where you did X". It's okay to have a mix of them, but I feel like investing time into some content that can stand on its own even 10 years down the line is so valuable. No context needed, just someone can find your channel, click on any video, and enjoy from start to finish. Anyways, ramblings aside, very glad I found this channel. Very refreshing editing that almost comes off as a glimpse into your brain. Stick with it and I see this being a great community for a long time.
your analogy was perfect 😭 especially since i was a tiktok creator i get swept up in the cycle of capitalizing on relevancy, surviving from trend to trend, and “being there first” but for genuine creative endeavors and lengthy youtube videos it’s WAY less sustainable and, like you said, a losing game 😭 also tysm i’m glad you like the editing and style 🥺💕
I enjoy these videos a lot. I remember when the Anthpo video got recommended to me and I have been watching since then as the 67th subscriber. I enjoy listening to the commentary and seeing the rug progressively get made throughout the video. Your videos are slower which makes them more relaxed and calming which not a lot of content is like so it’s nice to have something nice and fresh every once in a while. Different content creators make different styles of videos, and even though I enjoy the constant onslaught of content that some creators make, I also enjoy videos like yours that are a bit more laidback and have more passion and heart in them, and it’s always worth the wait for when they come out since that shows the extra care is being put into them. Keep up the amazing content and I’m looking forward to listening to your next random rant.
you’re literally the sweetest ever tysm?? it makes me so glad to hear people don’t find the pace excruciating/dull 😟 i sometimes feel pressured to start cranking out videos faster and make more quick retention based scripts but comments like this really allow me to see value in my current style tysm 🥺😢💕
As always a wonderfully analytical and aesthetic video 🥹 I really do hope you continue to make videos bro (free from the ever looming pressure of the algorithm) each one you upload is so full of detail and care, and the community you’re building is so so amazing already. also the anime guy bit gave me a jumpscare 😔
it really is difficult to avoid the content grind as a Art Creator tm. I used 2 post animatics a ton and got trapped in that cycle. I don't regret doing it - drawing that much definitely improved my art- but it got too much. and i just Actually Quit lmao no plans to return. rn I just post my art that I make on insta and it's just for the Sake of Making it. its fanart for whatever im hyperfixating on. its slenderman in 2023. who gives a fuck . I kind of hate the culture of brandifying and commodifying every part of the creative process. sometimes art should just be art.idk. creative careers are inherently kind of difficult to grapple with because art is simultaneously a part of ur identity and also like Ur Job. oh the woes of personal identity in a capitalist consumerist hellscape. wish you the best of luck and hope you find that balance! your videos r so visually dynamic and Funky. cinnamon tography. lord I wld love to get into textile art
so real? the line between a genuine passion for creating and obligation to create is so muddied when your audience is social media/youtube 😭 (also slenderman in 2023 is so valid i had a resurgence of my dont hug me i’m scared phase months ago) 💕💕💕
i feel as though the algorithm has changed slightly in recent months, i'm seeing way more smaller creators and videos that have sub 1k views. this is my first viewing of your content, but if this is the level of consistency you are producing i'm all for it.
u know what that’s what makes ur content stand out it’s because ur not pumping out videos and putting genuine effort and time that makes each one special🥹love the video and love u pookie ❤
The only reason i did not watch the fnaf video was because i was waiting to see the movie before i do so. I feel like just a "small but warm" community is a nicer thing than breaking view records but this all about how you want to steer this ship Also i have seen the lorax movie so many times, when it came out and after that having it as a massive school project topic for like environmental problems awareness raise for the entire school from my class (i have literally watched the movie for every class that was in my school) But i don't get any references because i didn't watch it in english
also fully agree that this small community filled with meaningful interactions means so much more to me than thousands of tiktok commenters who will likely forget what they’ve just watched 😭💕
girl you're replacing the anthpo-shaped hole in my heart and that's the best christmas present i could ever receive 💞 please don't feel pressure to pump out content! some of my favorite creators are the ones who i never know when i'm going to get an upload from. stick around as much as you want and make whatever you want and know that you'll find an audience in the doothi bear community whatever you're talking about !!
@@doothi i'm so fr tho! like 8illy, caroline kornstar, brian david gilbert ugh i ❤them and i never know when they're going to post! also thank you i feel like doothi bears fits so well cause you've tufted a couple bears at this point too like...
Good lord.! Two months behind …. Exactly how I feel…. Borderline and a hallucination…. You spoke my brain…. 💕💕💕💕💕💕 I feel the same way. I have had a few channels that I have deleted and just disappeared away.
a universal struggle for small creators 😭 i hope you didn’t delete them cause of the inability to stay on trend because if so you could always revive them for your own creative fulfillment 🥹🫶🏼
Doothi! Your videos are beautiful. Your writing is great. I subscribed. 😊 But if I catch you doing one more navel gazing youtube video about making youtube videos, I am taking away your commentary rights. You may continue as an ASMR channel if you wish
mf scared me with the title, I do believe that is a hurdle that many creators don't jump over, to find reason to make content outside of numbers. I hope that this is something that everyone can eventually understand.
listen, I have no clue who you are. to be honest, I was just bored, and your video literally just so happened to appear on my recommended but I’m glad I watched… good video I give two thumbs up 👍🏼👍🏼
I’m autistic and fnaf is one of my special interests, I watch every single fnaf video. There’s a type of audience for everything fr. I love your videos I love their vibes. I know this video is old but Keep going :)
oh my god i jumped at the title LOL, but yea youre absolutely right. make the videos u want to make, ill stay either way i gen love ur videos and mainly come for u and ur personality. the carpet-making-thing in the background is soo satisfying it feels like im staring into one of those swirly black and white thingies... anyway, call ur subscribers dookies bcuz doothi.. dookie.. they rhyme. u feel me.
I still haven’t moved on from sssniperwolf doxxing jacksfilms tbh!!!! also (I may be biased) but I looooove hyperspecific niches not sure if you noticed hahaha
Pls don’t stop I look forward to your videos when ever that come out thank you so much for putting your life out for all of us also the our name should be the oneslurs like from the Lorax
With the type of content you do it’s obviously hard to keep up with the latest news, but you have a specific quality that not other channels have. It’s human and real, so people will come back for that.
You shouldn't be doing youtube for other people. Make something you're proud of. That makes you happy. Its harder to succeed when there isn't passion behind it. Or do whatever lol I don't know. Its just hard seeing someone else putting such high expectations on themselves. You'll find your ground someday on youtube. Somewhere were you are happy I hope. I make my art for me first, and then i share it. I can't expect everyone to like it. But there are people out there as passionate as me. I never expected an audience, but i got it being myself. Im sorry for the long ramble. Dont bully yourself ❤
holy shit the message is once again the friends we made along the way. doothi strikes again
Got me sobbing I genuinely thought you were gonna leave😭

Anyways, ramblings aside, very glad I found this channel. Very refreshing editing that almost comes off as a glimpse into your brain. Stick with it and I see this being a great community for a long time.
your analogy was perfect 😭 especially since i was a tiktok creator i get swept up in the cycle of capitalizing on relevancy, surviving from trend to trend, and “being there first” but for genuine creative endeavors and lengthy youtube videos it’s WAY less sustainable and, like you said, a losing game 😭 also tysm i’m glad you like the editing and style 🥺💕
I think Doots will be a good name for our community!

As always a wonderfully analytical and aesthetic video 🥹 I really do hope you continue to make videos bro (free from the ever looming pressure of the algorithm)
each one you upload is so full of detail and care, and the community you’re building is so so amazing already.
also the anime guy bit gave me a jumpscare 😔
tysm that means a lot 😭💕 you will never be free from the anime guy 😀
this is the first video of yours i’ve found and i’m hype to watch more :) !!!!
ahh tysm!! hype to have you around 🥹💕
it really is difficult to avoid the content grind as a Art Creator tm. I used 2 post animatics a ton and got trapped in that cycle. I don't regret doing it - drawing that much definitely improved my art- but it got too much. and i just Actually Quit lmao no plans to return. rn I just post my art that I make on insta and it's just for the Sake of Making it. its fanart for whatever im hyperfixating on. its slenderman in 2023. who gives a fuck
I think ur funny n hot n stuff😔, genuinely though, glad to see you're not actually leaving! merry christmas Doothi!
don’t make me blushhh merry christmas 😚💕
i feel as though the algorithm has changed slightly in recent months, i'm seeing way more smaller creators and videos that have sub 1k views. this is my first viewing of your content, but if this is the level of consistency you are producing i'm all for it.
WELCOME i hope you stick around 🥺🫶🏼
u know what that’s what makes ur content stand out it’s because ur not pumping out videos and putting genuine effort and time that makes each one special🥹love the video and love u pookie ❤
quality over quantity bc there’s literally no choice 😔💕 ilymore
This was really wholesome :)
Glad youtube recommended it to me
glad youtube brought you to me 😤💕
The algorithm is rithm-ing. New here. Merry Christmas 🎄
welcome!! merry christmas ☃️💕💕
The title made my heart sink. Your videos are amazing and I hope you keep making them
nooo im sorry next one is coming soon! tysm 😭💕
please be bait please be bait please be bait
YAY IT IS
😼
This is a great video! Merry Christmas
tysm merry christmas!! 😁💕☃️
Whyd she have to pull an anthpo
The only reason i did not watch the fnaf video was because i was waiting to see the movie before i do so.
I feel like just a "small but warm" community is a nicer thing than breaking view records but this all about how you want to steer this ship
Also i have seen the lorax movie so many times, when it came out and after that having it as a massive school project topic for like environmental problems awareness raise for the entire school from my class (i have literally watched the movie for every class that was in my school)
But i don't get any references because i didn't watch it in english
you guys keep enabling a potential lorax video with your comments…
also fully agree that this small community filled with meaningful interactions means so much more to me than thousands of tiktok commenters who will likely forget what they’ve just watched 😭💕
girl you're replacing the anthpo-shaped hole in my heart and that's the best christmas present i could ever receive 💞 please don't feel pressure to pump out content! some of my favorite creators are the ones who i never know when i'm going to get an upload from. stick around as much as you want and make whatever you want and know that you'll find an audience in the doothi bear community whatever you're talking about !!
that’s an insane compliment omf 😭💕 its very comforting to think you guys will stick around regardless of my irregularity 😭
also doothi bears is a front runner fr 👀
@@doothi i'm so fr tho! like 8illy, caroline kornstar, brian david gilbert ugh i ❤them and i never know when they're going to post! also thank you i feel like doothi bears fits so well cause you've tufted a couple bears at this point too like...

THE LITTLE JOEY’S! I DON’T KNOW WHO JOEY IS BUT WE NEED TO BE CALLED THAT!
reminds me we need a mascot too fr 😩
I got so scared thinking you were gonna leave dhysirka
i’m sorry i’m here to stay 😭💕
Kind of off topic but I love that 1k play button
haha tyy the lore goes back to the first video 😭💕
Doothi! Your videos are beautiful. Your writing is great. I subscribed. 😊 But if I catch you doing one more navel gazing youtube video about making youtube videos, I am taking away your commentary rights. You may continue as an ASMR channel if you wish
but meta content is so fun to make and i can’t afford a binaural microphone 🥹
mf scared me with the title, I do believe that is a hurdle that many creators don't jump over, to find reason to make content outside of numbers. I hope that this is something that everyone can eventually understand.
balancing the intrinsic desire to create with the much quicker gratification of views is a never ending journey fr 😭 also sorry for the scare 😔💕
God I'm happy you aren't just quitting already, still love your stuff
sorry for the scare tysmmm 😭💕
omg i loved this video! call us 'doothies' or something lol
rlly loved the fiverr anime femboy omg
yess fiverr anime boy’s fan base is growing 😤

you are the TH-camr I hope to be one day. Your pacing, editing, commentary, and general vibe is so good.
that’s so sweet??? i love your content too you’re a very natural charismatic personality 😭💕 save me some sugar cookies! 😡🔪
@@doothi oh believe me you dont want them lol
Wishing you the best in the future

I’m small and only have 233 subscribers I’m not quitting it is hard making videos 😊 I sub💕
all the best i believe in you and remember to HAVE FUN WITH IT 😤💕💕💕
listen, I have no clue who you are. to be honest, I was just bored, and your video literally just so happened to appear on my recommended but I’m glad I watched… good video I give two thumbs up 👍🏼👍🏼
tysmm im here to curb boredom 😤💕
I’m autistic and fnaf is one of my special interests, I watch every single fnaf video. There’s a type of audience for everything fr. I love your videos I love their vibes. I know this video is old but Keep going :)
your channel will probably skyrocket if you keep it up. great commentary and nice editing.
also you should fuckin call us idiots or somethin idk
tysm 😭💕 also idiots is in silly baka territory idk
@@doothi what's wrong with silly baka territory huh? Call us dummy doots no one will judge you for it (except me)
oh my god i jumped at the title LOL, but yea youre absolutely right. make the videos u want to make, ill stay either way i gen love ur videos and mainly come for u and ur personality. the carpet-making-thing in the background is soo satisfying it feels like im staring into one of those swirly black and white thingies... anyway, call ur subscribers dookies bcuz doothi.. dookie.. they rhyme. u feel me.
IM SORRY and tysmmm 😭💕 glad you like the rug tufting only the best for the dookies(?)
@@doothi U R FORGIVEN!!!
I still haven’t moved on from sssniperwolf doxxing jacksfilms tbh!!!! also (I may be biased) but I looooove hyperspecific niches not sure if you noticed hahaha
Pls don’t stop I look forward to your videos when ever that come out thank you so much for putting your life out for all of us also the our name should be the oneslurs like from the Lorax
tysm ily 😭💕 but oneslurs is CRAZY
Well... The more you do something the faster you get at it....
wait i wanna see the fnaf video 😭
With the type of content you do it’s obviously hard to keep up with the latest news, but you have a specific quality that not other channels have. It’s human and real, so people will come back for that.
tysm that means a lot 🥺💕
Zoinks😔
Tufties maybe????
yes yes a step up from tufters 😩💕
POST THE FNAF VIDEO I NEED TO WATCH IT!! i gotta see it
ITS IN THE VOID 🤺🤺🤺
😭 see u on the flipside then
You shouldn't be doing youtube for other people.
WHY
Honestly I’d watch just rug making videos and it’d be you just rambling about random stuff 🤷
don’t enable a lorax video from me please 😭💕
but I would watch that 😂
Nooo😢
The shared struggle of taking months to make a video. Real recognizes real
and agonizing over the finished product? small creator culture 😔🤝
I’m in your rugs

TH-cam won’t let me watch anything else right now but this video worked so I guess I’ll watch this🙄
okay the topic of this video has made this comment feel so much more mean spirited than I had intended😭
thank you for using your view on me hope i didn’t disappoint 🫡❤️
