2hand sword is insane already doing 1k DMG a hit and beat maybe 4 bosses but now I hit code veins anor Londo and wow some parts of that just bs walked into a invasion and it just keeps wrecking me it feels infinite who game so easy and then u hit that
correction but it has 100% block when leveled up so you do actually take ZERO damage when you block. EDIT: correct myself here you get the 100% when you use the Atlas Chrome (an item you get from Yakumo) to transform it into a fortification type. my bad lol but yeah still you can get Zwei to 100%
Listening to Asmon talk about level design makes me think his preffered way of playing games is to just walk in one direction on a big, open, completely leveled terrain.

The problem lies with him constantly doing the same mistakes, over and over and over again, never once reflecting on them. Elden Ring was all about jump attacks, here you can see it's all about charge heavy. Can't charge heavy spam the entire game = shit game.

Man if you wanna use 2h weapons you gotta incorporate some mixture of Blocking, High Defense Veils, and the right Code. One reason the Zweihander is recommended so often is because of its extremely high block rating. Iirc it blocks 96% of damage by default and 100% if you transform it with Atlas chrome. You can get mats for transforming by giving gifts to people at base. Atlas Chrome is from Yakumo, who gives 5 points for Aged Brandy, Boutique Sake, and the Bugarally Doll and 3 points for 35mm Reel, Antique LP Record, Blood Bead Candy, Board Game, Custom Gun Parts, Faded Comics, Pungent Cheese, Retro Game, and Sushi Tacos

That achievement involves going out of your way to grind a ton of medals, so I won't be bothering with it. I hop back into the game every now and then, maybe I'll end up getting it eventually. It's actually a great game that's fun to play with a friend
Decided to buy this game last friday while on sale. Did not expect to see anyone big playing it in 2023, especially at same week as me getting the game.
A little tip in this regard. Dont jump down somewhere where you cant go up again. This way you actually can find all fragments faster and its a lot easier to understand the layout of this place.
I ended up rooting for the boss. Asmon's sheer hubris not using summons or partners so he can dunk on people that used them is not good. If this kept going, i bet he will rage quit at the Queen's knight boss which deals a lot more damage than the pole dancer one. 6:21:45 My point exactly
@@Desolator-ny7cb I just started playing the game myself and I don't see how using these companions is any fun. They obscure the screen, make mobs unpredictable with aggro, they make world mobs obsolete. Playing without them is much more enjoyable.

My point is when you chose not to use them, you must be willing to adapt using any mechanics to your advantage unlike asmon not doing anything differently and just blaming the game mechanics. I use them mostly for buffs, like they extend your ability duration or increase your ichor/mana drain. To be fair, the camera in this game is annoying at times.
Day three area has a good farm spot u get 10k every 2mins it's 8 bugs and 1 big momma mob and u just keep running it once u done u use that return home skill so easy
I hope he returns to this game. All he needs is to get the Atlas Chrome from Yakumo to transform his Zwei into a fortification type and upgrade it, and get the gifts/passives/buffs like the 2h mastery and such and he'll clear this game no problem. Issue is he talks about "utility" of the hammer but misses half the charged jumps he makes so the utility isn't that useful at that point. Plus charge attacks take time and the boss isn't going to wait for you so it's just easier to light attack spam like how Dark Souls used to be. Also hope he ignores chat's annoying advice about the partner, since the game is built/designed around having a partner, and without the partner you're just going to get 1 shot constantly as the bosses are faster and more aggressive than your dodges can go, unless you want to just block and poke forever. Regardless of what happens I'm just glad he gave the game a shot it was certainly a surprise to see him even play it at all let alone enjoy it to a degree.

The second boss is a very annoying boss and for many people a big roadblock. Odd, i didnt have so much problems with the faster weapon, the dmg was ok. I need to play it again, its one of my favorite soulslike games right after Bloodborne.
The code u use is garbage switch too Prometheus u will do more DMG and take same DMG if u wanna take less DMG and still do same whit 2hand u pick atlas u can literally stand in a group of mobs and u won't die

This game is good. Short, easy. But I enjoyed it. Easiest Souls game if you are doing all he side quests cuz t hen you are just buffed. Struggled just a few times. But the story, music, environment is beautiful
he's so bad at this game.. "I dont like how you can't zoom out" "I have bad depth perception" using the worst possible weapon also doesn't help him..like just because hammers hit hard, and that specific one has a gap closer, doesn't mean its good.. youre animation locked the entire time, nor do you EVER block even once.. or the fact he doesnt upgrade/master other skills

Slow and inhibit are the worse debuffs to get it's insane u just die after that if u don't run well whit slow u ain't running whit inhibit if u don't run u die Couse ure partner apparently only survives if he has magic buffs yeah wtf my guy went from taking no DMG too dying in 3 hits yup after ure partner dies u dead quick after but this game is for sure balanced around having that partner especially invasions those impossible alone unless u exploit it otherwise u die
Invasions are doable alone, but you need to be really clean at parrying or be a late game mage so you actually have some AoE. There's also Bayonet builds where you just continually kite the mobs and shoot them down from a safe distance.
I enjoyed some of the game but right after slide stripper mostly every boss is fast and none stop attacks you and will kill you in 1 2 or 3 hits and their HP feels like it never ends i get impatient alot in this game because I'm not wanting to block and dodge for 90% of the fight its extremely boring the funniest parts of this game for me was exploring the levels i had no problem with any of the mini bosses or normal enemies they seemed balanced way better than the bosses
Yeah code vein is pretty brutal without using a partner. Invading executioners pole stripper move where she flings water everywhere that inflicts slow is bullshit and should be removed from the game

Codes are absolutely classes it’s just that when you master the abilities you can use them with other classes if that class meets the stat requirements
How the stagger works: there is a gauge for every character in game, and it fills after he recieves damage or dodgin. You can stagger characters with much blunt status damage,certain skills and heavy attacks can do that, but if gauge fills, character cant be staggered for a while. For your character that gauge right-above your HP bar, for enemies it is hidden but you can guess with specific animations i guess.
U know that's ure focus bar right once u complete that u get a DMG boost yup tought it was a stagger bar too but then I noticed this wierd focus thing I didn't get how tf so I get focus and then I went too hints and it says it right there that bar is focus u can fill it whit being hit or dodging nothing else once u hit that u do more DMG u can even spec into that like atlas can just stand their and fill it up and still have half its health
@@walterlaten7662Oh, idk how it called in English. it's not a stagger bar obviously, but if it fills, it grant you ~immunity for stagger. And enemies have that bar too, but for bosses it is hidden. It can confuse for these one shot attacks, or like 'why I can stagger that shit at the beginning of the fight but now it is immune?' etc. Actually, it grant you immune for stagger, buff for your own stagger, ability to execute special attack, run+heavy as I remember it right, and filling that gauge to full replenish stamina to full. And that's all. Some passives however buff you only while that bar is full - maybe that's where damage buff comes from.
Slow isn't the problem u are whit not defending and dodging just Couse u hit 1k a hit doenst mean ure invulnerable I move slower and hit slower still I one shot this area how well I actually play the game
He needs to play darksiders 1 2 and 3 he will love it I wanna see all of it Especially how he needs to relearn each new system for each new game for each new horsemen
Zweihander best sword hammers are legit garbage and those heavy weapons will never be faster then slow the weight thing doesn't Mather as much as the game acts it does I am 25 over weight and still roll and hit the same speed slow lol
You can actually modify a Heavy weapon to do quick rolls like bayonets if you get a strong enough Blood Code, Nicola's Weight increase Passive and an Alleviation transformation on a Blood Veil. All those contribute to getting almost any weapon below the minimum weight. I've been using that on the Lost Heavy Axe and it's just so satisfying.
Argent Wolf Brand is slightly better. The attack stats are only a tiny bit worse but the swing is better because you can hit enemies behind you with it. I used the zweihander until I picked that up late in the game.

Nah, it is not. The boss doesn't deserve to be trashed. You can see it clearly in his gameplay that he was doing pretty good, but died for small stuff, like being too greedy (In two attempts he almost beat her, but he prioritized the charge attack instead of healing. I bet he knows it, otherwise he wouldn't have continued 3 more times after his official last try.
This game was really good. It's unfortunate that you excelled at Dark Souls but struggled with something like this... There are so many more bosses, weapons, and skills in this game. It seems like you were lazy when playing it

Asmon really should’ve used some weapon skills. The dragon one melts the bosses health bars if you get it off correctly, or any multiple hit skill.

After seeing this video I tried the demo and had fun. I liked playing the Caster type. Gonna buy it next month.
Awesome game. Asmon really didn't do it justice. Play different codes to unlock all the gifts, and put together your build to fit your playstyle.

@@Jayesbe he plays every dark souls game that's not an excuse he's using a weapon with piss poor scaling because he likes the heavy attack then get's bad when it doesn't work cause every boss is faster than it. he doesn't use the items they have you in droves to counter the bosses and only uses one ability. he doesn't parry or chang his armor. he won't use weapons that are better because he gaslit himself into thinking that he can just brute force everything.

Blocking is so good in this if ure loosing a lot start blocking 9/10 times I beat it try after that also u can buff whit all elements they overlap it's crazy this game u can one shot quite early on

No, He just ragequit on executioner lmfao watch the end, I beat the executioner on first attempt btw its one of easiest bosses (ofc with companion, but it is also beatable without the npc)

Slow and inhibit are the worse debuffs to get it's insane u just die after that if u don't run well whit slow u ain't running whit inhibit if u don't run u die Couse ure partner apparently only survives if he has magic buffs yeah wtf my guy went from taking no DMG too dying in 3 hits yup after ure partner dies u dead quick after but this game is for sure balanced around having that partner especially invasions those impossible alone unless u exploit it otherwise u die
Invasions are doable alone, but you need to be really clean at parrying or be a late game mage so you actually have some AoE. There's also Bayonet builds where you just continually kite the mobs and shoot them down from a safe distance.

I enjoyed some of the game but right after slide stripper mostly every boss is fast and none stop attacks you and will kill you in 1 2 or 3 hits and their HP feels like it never ends i get impatient alot in this game because I'm not wanting to block and dodge for 90% of the fight its extremely boring the funniest parts of this game for me was exploring the levels i had no problem with any of the mini bosses or normal enemies they seemed balanced way better than the bosses
Yeah code vein is pretty brutal without using a partner. Invading executioners pole stripper move where she flings water everywhere that inflicts slow is bullshit and should be removed from the game
Dude, I remember that fight. Tried killing her solo and it was just a major pain in the ass.
its pretty easy to dodge just make sure to start moving back when she starts doing it
@@awagnow I was just replaying it today and you're right, not locking onto her and being far away enough trivializes it. Her gliding impale move still does too much damage for how fast it is though
Should search more if u don't explore u dont get ure heals upgraded it's that simple u don't wanna play the whole game well u gonna have a shitty time

Asmongold ure delusions of being a god gamer is stopping u from enjoying a great game just bring back the partner and u MIGHT beat her prob not Couse u don't have any skills whatsoever it seems u think a code is a class it ain't u can literally learn any skill and use it on a different code not that hard game gets quite easy if u play it how the Devs want u too play
Codes are absolutely classes it’s just that when you master the abilities you can use them with other classes if that class meets the stat requirements

How the stagger works: there is a gauge for every character in game, and it fills after he recieves damage or dodgin. You can stagger characters with much blunt status damage,certain skills and heavy attacks can do that, but if gauge fills, character cant be staggered for a while. For your character that gauge right-above your HP bar, for enemies it is hidden but you can guess with specific animations i guess.
U know that's ure focus bar right once u complete that u get a DMG boost yup tought it was a stagger bar too but then I noticed this wierd focus thing I didn't get how tf so I get focus and then I went too hints and it says it right there that bar is focus u can fill it whit being hit or dodging nothing else once u hit that u do more DMG u can even spec into that like atlas can just stand their and fill it up and still have half its health
@@walterlaten7662Oh, idk how it called in English. it's not a stagger bar obviously, but if it fills, it grant you ~immunity for stagger. And enemies have that bar too, but for bosses it is hidden. It can confuse for these one shot attacks, or like 'why I can stagger that shit at the beginning of the fight but now it is immune?' etc.
Actually, it grant you immune for stagger, buff for your own stagger, ability to execute special attack, run+heavy as I remember it right, and filling that gauge to full replenish stamina to full. And that's all. Some passives however buff you only while that bar is full - maybe that's where damage buff comes from.

Slow isn't the problem u are whit not defending and dodging just Couse u hit 1k a hit doenst mean ure invulnerable I move slower and hit slower still I one shot this area how well I actually play the game

Zweihander best sword hammers are legit garbage and those heavy weapons will never be faster then slow the weight thing doesn't Mather as much as the game acts it does I am 25 over weight and still roll and hit the same speed slow lol
You can actually modify a Heavy weapon to do quick rolls like bayonets if you get a strong enough Blood Code, Nicola's Weight increase Passive and an Alleviation transformation on a Blood Veil.
All those contribute to getting almost any weapon below the minimum weight.
I've been using that on the Lost Heavy Axe and it's just so satisfying.
Argent Wolf Brand is slightly better. The attack stats are only a tiny bit worse but the swing is better because you can hit enemies behind you with it. I used the zweihander until I picked that up late in the game.

Mcconell absolutely despises anything that is even remotely related to "anime" or "weaboo" stuff, so I highly doubt he would play this game.

It's like when teenagers listening to metal music decide all pop is trash and won't give any pop artist/song a chance. Or how some jazz elitists think non-jazz is subpar music.

That last boss is one of those, that if you beat it you have no idea what you did different than the previous attempts.
Nah, it is not. The boss doesn't deserve to be trashed. You can see it clearly in his gameplay that he was doing pretty good, but died for small stuff, like being too greedy (In two attempts he almost beat her, but he prioritized the charge attack instead of healing.
I bet he knows it, otherwise he wouldn't have continued 3 more times after his official last try.

This game was really good. It's unfortunate that you excelled at Dark Souls but struggled with something like this... There are so many more bosses, weapons, and skills in this game. It seems like you were lazy when playing it
