HAVE A 1 2 fucking 3!! :D This little gem has some seriously sturdy construction going into it, it even has a strong engine for it's weight and low wing loading! Only downside is that despite the power, it's still quite slow, even for a biplane... well, drag was not the most important thing to consider for a divebomber. ^^ Also... "I've been snuck on by a PBY" "Said no one ever"... well... the Japanese Invasion Force under Admiral Kondo DID indeed say that, after being spotted by PBY during the Battle of Midway. :3
Still needs the 20mm gunpods to properly ANSCHLUSS all the low tier matches. I am thinking about uptiering a squad of them into 5.3 and hunt some of these godawfull Wyverns.

I'm not sure if you've noticed a little detail about the Hs-123A-1's paint job in game: it has Adolf Galland's personal marking on the left side, so the default skin appears to be one of his aircraft. Little known fact: he originally flew Hs-123s as a dive bomber/CAS pilot, and only transferred to fighters a little bit before the Blitz in early 1940 - this explains a little bit about his approach to aerial gunnery, particularly his preference for 'more dakka' and for engaging his targets at a distance (compared to, say...Erich Hartmann, who preferred getting up to point-blank range before firing at an enemy, and actually wrote off a few planes due to flying into the wreckage of enemies he shot down while doing so). Also, you seem to either be unaware that the Hs-123A-1 has flaps or you just didn't use them in any of these games in the video.

They sank 50,000 tons of Axis shipping per month for 9 months while flying off Malta, for instance. They also sank a mess of Italian cruisers and destroyers while they were parked in Taranto in 1940. A Japanese fellow came and investigated the remarkable results of this first crack and destroying a navy fleet by air power in a port. One year later this was reprised at Pearl Harbor. one of the best things of war thunder is to play with starting planes as biplanes after years of gameplays with real planes. its one of the most funny thing of the game. the other one is playing with Jets on arcade mode, it should be now allowed.

EDIT: although thinking about it the Japanese pilots did say that once their Zeros ran out of ammo for the 20mms they had a hard time even killing the TBDs. rifle-caliber rounds (Like the A6M2s 7.7s and this things...7.92s?) just didn't cut it.

Only thing about the Hs 123 is that's is a very heavy-framed aircraft. It won't turn on the same level as Chaikas or Ki-10s but it will be faster in a straight line.
i think they did something to the kill assist system in the new update because I was in a game using my tiger and after I died I was watching a tiger II and he shot someones ammo rack and killed them but got a kill assist even tho he was the only friendly tank in that area

I would like to know how to send you replays because I have an amazing replay of me in a TBD-1 terrorizing a Japanese airfield...I'm pretty sure I got 4 kills that match
It has about 100 more horses under it's hood than the He 51 and can thus retain it's agility a lot better in sustained maneuvers, it doesn't lose speed nearly as fast. Oh, and it has the full set of flap settings. And if you really want to annoy the neighbourhood, it has 4 50g bombs and 1 250kg bomb able to be mounted. Yep, that's right, 450kg of bombs on a 1.3 BR biplane. And if they ever add it, it also had the capability to mount 2 20mm MG/FF gunpods under the wings instead of the bombload. :3 For comparison... the He 51 was retired in 1938 from active service... the Hs 123 was struck from service in 1944(!!), after new production had been stopped in 1940 and all the aircraft still in service were "used up" and could't be maintained anymore. The Luftwaffe flew these things until they literally couldn't fly anymore for lack of spare parts and broke apart, they were liked so much. The troops even wanted to restart production of it (IN 1944!!) but all the needed tools etc. had already been scrapped. :( Does that answer your question sufficiently?

Those rounds can go trough a trucks engine they are lmg bullets worse than 20 mm but they can really fuck your plane up with good aim
This plane is amazing, and so much fun to fly. It has the ruggedness of a CR-42 with the bombload of a Ju-87B.
