Hi Teacher I noticed in past perfect continuous examples that Naun clause changed in to "What they had ( being ) doing when we arrived " instead of what ı expected to be like "What they had ( been ) doing when we arrived " . should it be like this if so . Why ? or is it typo ? Sincerely

Hi Fatima-Zahra! Thank you for your question. When a that-clause is the subject of a sentence, it is more common to use "the fact that," but if you don't use it, it is still grammatically correct. It just feels unnatural when you say it.
One way to improve your grammar is reading grammar books. Oxford Practice Grammar at the Intermediate Level by John Eastwood is a good place to start. You have to pay attention to the usage of the grammar structures, not just the syntax (the way of arranging words together to make sentences). At the same time, try to read English novels and short stories. Oxford has a great collection of short stories under the title of Oxford Bookworm Series. These are simplified versions of the original stories and are adapted to different levels. Finally, while you are speaking or writing, pay active attention to your grammar and try not to make mistakes.
