First of all , than you for the reaction!!!Actually , the whole WINGS album is based on the book DEMIAN by Herman Hesse and a lot of the symbolism is references to the book .Whole scenes from the book are replicated in the Short Films so it's not that easy to understand.There are also references to the other short films and to previous storyline MVs so there are many details that are difficult to miss .Also , the circles are mandalas ( from Jungian Psychology ) and the merging of some of them signifies a change of the units for the Wings era from the HYYH era. If you don't have a good grasp of the storyline basics and details , they can be difficult to interpret.Thank you for the reaction regardless!!! xceleste has great videos explaining/theorizing the entire story line. It's all very confusing. If you continue to rewatch them you continue to see new things that you missed before or come to new conclusions/theories. I'm sure you will understand the storyline more soon.

Im so happy you react to the storyline but i recomend that you dont wait so long between videos that are connected to the story because then its so easy to forget things because its so much going on, if you had seen these short films directly after you saw i need you, prologue, run and young forever i think you would have understand some more things that was going on, but i know its hard but its so interesting when you start to understand it more and more and you will do that i promise! :D

Well...we didnt have much answers yet but something about this whole thing as been already connected.
All of the BTS storyline is full of connections... all the quotes that RM is reading is from Hermann Hess' book Demian. Hermann Hess was a student (and patient) of Carl Jung (think Jung's Map of the Soul). All of these are metaphor driven stories. Ex. the white puppy in V's short film means "innocence". V lost his innocence when he killed his father in I Need U Now the puppy runs away when V is put in the cage. Now think about the Fake Love MV... Jimin is still in water, Suga/fire, V/Phone, RM/mirrors (or reflections), JHope/Snickers, Jin/flowers and earpiece, and Jungkook, who doesn't really have a symbol. It has taken us YEARS to figure this out, because of the wait for new MVs, and then we had to adjust our theories, or add to them. It has been fun, and really frustrating sometimes, but I would not trade the time I've spent on this for anything. Sorry for the LONG comment!

After watching this I was crazy confused and had to do some serious BTS theory research too
How authentic the message bts want to convey is known through the time and the care and the daily routine of investing in all the lyrics and music videos they are presenting, I think it's a blessing that they live in the same era as bts

Watching the other mvs in the series and reading the webtoon helps a lot in understaing.
This is just my understanding for the wings:
Jungkook: the painting is of yoongi, he and yoongi were really close during high school and r best friends (webtoon). When the two of them r together they r happy with wings (hinted at in the song begin in the whistle) but jk droped the wings when he saw the the picture of yoongi who became messed up
Jimin: the video camera is like an interigation where he lied (apple) for the first time to his mum, pretending to be ok to get out of hospital, but inside he flickered to being trapped. His bathtub is where he tried to kill himself because he felt is was the only way out of himself and from the hospital (I need u mv)
Stigma: he got arrested because he didn't have namjoon with him unlike in the run mv. His sister was like his mum, as see in his eye, protecting tae from the abusive father (webtoon) he killed his dad (I need u mv) and he got interigated where be called namjoon cause they were best friends, and namjoon got him out of previouse arrests.
Yoongi: he put music above his best friend jk (first love lyrics) . When jk got hit by the car (I need u mv) yoongi realised that jk was more important than music and so when when he got hit, the piano for yoongi was destroyed as the most important thing. he lost his best friend and music in one go car crash.
Namjoon: when they were younger tae and namjoon were best friends (the wings), namjoon became too busy with work, and he was too wrapped up in himself to realise how bad tae situation was even when he did see brusing on tar (webtoon). When tae called, it was too late and namjoon couldn't get to him or do anything to help.
Hoseok: his mum abandoned him at the age of 7, left him at a park, he was best friends with jimin, but when jimin became hospitalised he turned to drugs. He ended up overdosing intentionaly and he passed out on the bridge. (I need u) He was in hospital where he couldn't do drugs so he turned to snickers. This is where he remet jimin couple yrs later.
Jin: most of his story is in webtoon. He tried to save them and he knew what would happen to them all but he couldn't save them all, however he wouldn't give up. He doesnt eat from the apple representing sin, however he does fall later. (Bs&t mv)

Yeah bts is geniuses. thats why i love bts so much. They're different to the other groups. They are unique and that makes them so special. You need to learn,watch and understand everything. They have a storyline that you need to watch by order, so that you can understand everything.
These short films helped to progress the story and also to switch the pairings for Wings. The pairings for HYYH and most of the storyline are Jungkook - Suga, Jimin - JHope, V - RM, and Jin was alone and connected to all. Here we see each of their videos had symbols of their regular pair and of their new one. The way the circles merge is the new pairings for Wings which were Jungkook - RM, Jimin - Suga, V - Jhope and Jin who stays alone but connected to all. Love Yourself and the Highlight Reels sees a return to the original pairings, but the new pairings are also present. Like Hobi saves both Jimin and V which are both of his pairs.
To get the whole story you need to watch all MVs, Highlight Reels, listen to their wings solos, read the webtoon and the Notes. Even some of their photos and posters are related to the story.
It all connects. You weren't connecting the other videos u have already watched. "I need you", "run", "prologue", "young forver" they all connect. Now you have to watch "euphoria" and the reels hightlight

To understand everything they do u have to know bout "Demian" it's a book by Herman Hesse. The whole bts discography is based on that one book. The path to "Abraxas". If you see the #7 wings short film, you can see Jin walking by some wall covered in Abraxas shapes.

BTS’s storyline, wings storyline, highlight reels, every concept, all of them messed with my head super hard and i love it. they’re so intriguing, i just love it.
Andrew!! Watch the highlight reels and make sure to view the posters for the highlight reels. After that, you should watch the webtoon. By the way, you were right about Taehyung (V) calling RM!

There’s a WEBTOON called Save Me that explains the story line an the BTS notes book. They’re both created by BIGHIT.
All the lines in the beginning are direct quotes from "Demian" by Herman Hesse. And It's very difficult to understand then without actually knowing the concepts tackled in the book.

You won’t understand this unless you start from the very beginning of the story line. Wings short story is actually their individual stories that happened in their lives. And yes they are all connected. BTS made an alternative world of themselves in their musics. There are explanations made by xceleste regarding theories formed from their musics. That’s what attracted me to BTS is finding out the theories and connecting their music. These era of their music is based on a book called Damian. Have fun listening and connecting the dots. Welcome to BTS and ARMY universe.

These short films are like the pieces of the BU story puzzle. Also, each film has the each member's symbolism. I personally like the editing a lot. So artistic!! Anyway, I love your reaction!! :D
Wings was the most complicated era, very mythical, is about God (Abraxas) and fallen Angel.
All 7 short films are connected to each other, the members are connected to each other in the storyline. You will get less confused once you watch the Highlight Reels from Love Yourself era. After Love Yourself era, read the Webtoon then everything will make sense.
Have you watch the HYYH MVs? Those are before Wings era. (I Need U - Original ver.) (RUN - Official MV) (I Need U and RUN Japanese ver.)
And in Stigma film, Taehyung was tryung to remove an English words, Abraxas (If I remembered it correctly), which appears in the English opening of RM's short film, “Abraxas the supreme power of being transcending both God and the Devil and unites all opposites into one Being.（Carl Jung）”
I was so confused too when I first looked into this universe. The main thing that helped was the WEBTOON lol. And some of xceleste’s videos 😂

I'm coming to the point right now :
Jin - time traveler ( ofc because whenever someone is dead specially his close people he travels back in time again because of this he save the boy's from there problems which they where facing )
Rm - part time job worker ( he do part time jobs because he don't have enough money to send his sick father to hospital , he is very close to taehyung )
Suga - piano player ( actually his mother was dead when he was 15 years old , his mom dead because the fire catch his house , his mom used to play piano she also teaches Suga , that's why he loved to play piano , jungkook and Suga both used to play piano together )
Jhope - dance master ( when he was 4 or 5 years old his mother left him in a circus , she abanded him that's why jhope was grown up in an orphan for 10 years , jhope and jimin both used to do dance , they where like buddies )
Jimin - a boy with disease ( jimin have seizures because when he was small he saw a terrifying sence from a incident from that day he started to have seizures , he always used to go hospital , jhope tries to help him but jimin's parents stopped him as they kept jimin for years in hospital )
Taehyung - did a murder charge on his father ( when taehyung was small his mother left him and his sister , from that day his drunk father started to abuse him and his sister , you guys can see a mother and a child i guess taehyung is imagining him with his mother anyway one day he saw his drunk father abusing her sister he got lot of angry as he took the glass bottle can stab in his father's stomach )
Jungkook - lonely guy ( his mother married to his step father as his step father used to have a boy who always abused jungkook , his mother and stepfather just watched and did nothing so the boy's where only his family which where breaking apart )
It's connected. The first is suga&jungkook, the whistle on suga short film was on jungkook's short film and there was also burned piano. Second, jhope&jimin, actually they were in the same place but different room, so that's why there was the same painting. Then, V&Namjoon, like you said before yes that was true, V called namjoon but namjoon couldn't pick up because it was locked. The last is Jin, Jin was the person who would save all the members.
Welcome to this beautiful and crazy hole 😂 Next is Boys Meet Evil, Blood Sweat & Tears, The Highlight reel and Euphoria... There are The Notes and The Webtoon but you can do those for your own because of copyrights... The best option is the BTS STORYLINE SUMMARY by Celeste, with that you can understand what's going on and the order of events. But you really have to watch the Highlight reel and Euphoria (which I don't remember if you already saw)
being new to bts must be hard lol. ill give u a guide into what to follow:
theres a set of videos that you have to follow based on order of release: hyyh mvs + prologue, wings films, blood sweat and tears kor and jpn version, highlight reels, epilogue: euphoria, fake love mv, intro: epiphany mv
there's also a set of extras that you have to follow throughout watching the videos to understand what the heck goes on: hyyh notes, (those tiny booklets that you can find in their recent albums from 2016-present i believe), the 'save me' webtoon on the LINE app and then the hyyh notes book
the hyyh notes booklets and book are basically diary entries of members that can explain exactly what the hell is happening during these mvs and films, why theyre doing what theyre doing, whats the motive behind certain actions, etc. you'll understand so much from reading these notes in order
the 'save me' webtoon basically shows a cartoonised version of the boys and the scenes during hyyh, except they have dialogue and again, explanations on certain things. this webtoon is super important because it basically shows you what they cant show (frankly putting it: deaths etc) during the mvs and how JIN travels through timelines!

so before getting into anything else related to this storyline i highly HIGHLY encourage you to watch mvs over and over again AKA i need u , run, prologue, young forever, to understand the very basics of what actions theyre tied to AKA jungkook getting run over, suga lighting his motel on fire, jimin drowning himself, etc & the original hyyh pairings AKA suga + jungkook, jimin + jhope, v + rm, jin by himself
these two main things are extremely important because if you don't understand this from the very start of when the bts storyline universe started, you're screwed. if you already are familiar with these two major things, move on to the short films (which u just did. hurray!)
now if you have been following hyyh with upmost dedication, you should be able to connect the wings films with one another based on your prior knowledge to hyyh. there is no clear explanations for the wings films by themselves. you just have to get familiar with hyyh and wings and make connections, even if you think the connections are far-fetched (eg: you said here that it's v calling rm through the phonebooth and you are absolutely correct. v and rm ARE a pair in the hyyh universe and throughout the bts universe. it was v that called rm too in the prologue mv when he was washing up himself with a bottle of water). if you've already watched blood sweat and tears, watch the japanese version on your free time
if you're able to form connections between hyyh and wings, please then move onto the . this is where it gets a shit ton more confusing. i cant say anymore. to understand this you can use the hyyh notes. you can also get more insight on the hyyh pairings from this.
then, watch the . the hyyh notes and webtoon references a lot to this so make sure to read those after you watch this. the epilogue is very much related to the prologue. you'll know what i'm talking about when you watch it.
pretty much just finish watching the rest of the mvs, read the and as they're super essential to knowing what the heck goes on. they're like, your bible. i cant stress how important these two are, especially the hyyh notes. PLEASE read them if you want to hop along their cinematic universe!

These mini-films are a kind of metaphor for the story of each character. Read a webtoon, and you can also check out the Storyline Summary, it really helps))) The text, which Namjoon read before each story, this is quotes from the book: Demian: The Story of Emil Sinclair's Youth by Hermann Hesse.
After i watched "Magic Island" and then back to "Wings", i can see some similiarities. The scenery, the fire, the punishment. It's feels like BTS is darker side and TXT is tge side that still innocent but also take the punishment.
You are right about V and RM and phone call. The word is not War but Liar.

That's all connected, not just a little bit. Its all connected. You just have to focus on the elements that they've put in this storyline. Even though its a different since you can still see all the same elements that they've put on it.

I've just had an idea...the "shot" part at Jimin in Lie... what if the men that murdered the child tried to shot him when he was running away trying to kill him because he witnessed? Thus making the trauma of the experience even worse. Not only did he saw the litle kid's murder, but also he almost died. That fear would make him lie to everyone, certain thatif he talked they would come for him and kill him too. But the constant lies created a deep psychologycal fracture in him, thus causing the seasures that made his parents keep him in the hospital.
The songs were written by the guys. Jungkook wrote about his brothers on BTS. I don't remember lie. Stigma is abuse, the father beating the sister. First love while it could be about a girl Suga first love is his piano and making music. Reflection how he needs to be there for his brothers but when V calls he can't reach the phone. Mama Jhope wrote about how much his mom means to him. Awake is how much apart of Jin these others guys are. Would he be who he is without them. You should watch them live performin this. Also everything is connected one way or another. Fake love you have the water for Jimin, the fire for Suga. The phones for V. Jin opening the curtain. Just to give you an idea plus they talk about the pressures of being young drugs suicide abusemental health everything is deep with BTS.

Actually those short films are a mix of their storyline and the book Demian. Its like all the members are one person ,Sinclair (protagonist of Demian-) in a different period of Sinclair's age (Jk the young (Begin) and Jin the oldest age (awake) . Demian is a very confusing book. The paint, the bird, the quotes, Eva, the whistle, the apple, the piano, the alcohol and Abraxass (the symbol that it looks like a thing that has 2 tentacle "Taehyung's graffiti,Jin's wall " are based on the book. BS&T and Boy meets evil are based on the book and connected on the short stories.
I hope you read more of their interviews and watch the hilight reels, etc. where their individual stories of who they are, are embedded in these stories, connecting them.

Stigma is one of my favorite of wings album. I mean all the solo are amazing. But Taehyung just hits the Highnote with his deep soulful voice. Wow. 💜
I recommand to read the webtoon "save me". It's Bighit's official webtoon to explain there MVs story and BU(BTS's universe).

This all was connected to each other. First, we got jungkook with begin right... The picture that jungkook draw is Suga.. Jungkook was being sorry to suga and it connected with suga clip, first love.. You can hear the the some music which is jungkook song, begin. Second, we got jimin right.. Jimin having a mental problem that he had to stay at the mental hospital and there is one bed was empty beside him.. That was jhope bed.Meanwhile jhope was being lock in some room for people who has a mental problem. Third, we got V. V was being scared after always see her sister got beat with their father cause their father always drunk and they always got beat by him.. In v clip, which is stigma..V said he want to make a call,It is for RM.Which is was V bestfriend who always help him even he was in a problem. Then in RM Clip which is reflection, we got to see there was a call but RM can't take the call. That broke v heart that we see he was in his own clip.Then lastly, we got jin.Jin is the one who is turned the time by using the flower that he hold it. Every one flower that he hold contains everyone lives which is RM,V,Jungkook,Suga,jhope and jimin..In jin clip, we got to see jimin apple and some picture of other clip too...That show how, he going to save the boys from turning the time by using the flower... Their story keep connected with highlights reel which is love yourself clip..Then, we got love yourself wonder, euphoria by jungkook that show how jin save the boys again and again.
PLEASE MAKE A REACTION TO LOVE YOURSELF HIGHLIGHTS REEL AND LOVE YOURSELF WONDER EUPHORIA. It might make you confuse but love yourself wonder euphoria is the returning of the time that make by jin.It the scene that we can see in I need You trailer.. But got more confused after that.. I'm only got to tell that for now because I still searching for more clue about their storyline ☺

Bts storyline is started from I NEED U, and then Prologue, Run and then Young Forever. Then continued with the Wings short films, which are now ur watching. I guess u haven't react to those mv, maybe u can watch them first, then u will understand the storyline better:)
I recommend watching some more videos before you read the webtoon since the webtoon was one of the latest things to come out (but the webtoon will put a lot of pieces together and make everything a lot more clear. And it's just awesome to read and the art in it is amazing.)
Hands down I still think this is my favorite album just for the sheer artistic value and how everything is connected. You still need to react to the lyrical/live versions of these songs since they're so touching and beautiful. I did end up needing tissues for more than one so be warned.

That's right. It's Nam-joon who wants Tae-hyung to call. But Nam-joon is in a situation where he can't answer the phone. Do you remember? ' I need u ' MV , Taehyung murdered his father, who abused his sister and used domestic violence. The story's going on, so if you don't skip it or focus, you don't understand. And you don't have to read the webtoons. It's just our Army wish. We can get it from the music video. Just enjoy it slowly, even if you don't understand.💜💜💜💜

You can also read comic title save me from webtoon. That will tell you the whole story yup after you read others theories too
It's normal that you don't know what's going on lol Their storyline is so complex (you could watch xceleste videos, she makes amazing explanations and theories of the storyline) and also Wings shortfilms are full of references of Demian, by Hermann Hesse (I read the novel last month and it amazed me how many symbolism and references this films have)
I hope you watched I Need You original mv/Run mv/Highlight Realm and ALL the videos that connect the storyline cause they tell the story with missing pieces while the webtoon tells you everything but without watching all the videos and understanding a bit, the comic won't be as meaningful. Please watch/read some theories before you read the webtoon and be sure you watched all the videos that connect the storyline.
I don't know why people so confused about all bts' stuff. Those fillms uses their previous images and simbols and metaphors from HYYH era (i need you, etc.). The whole consept is about becoming adult, growing up. Each film contains sample of song. Song based on their caracters and their stories (hyyh), but Jungkook's Begin is more personal song.
It's all the same as HYYH but filmed and told differently. Plus it's about temptation (Boy meet evel and Blood Sweat and Tears). Plus it contains quotes from Hermann Hesse's novel).
BTS used that images in Euphoria (the same story as hyyh). In Fake love you can see same images of suffering (water for Jimin, fire for Suga, chocolate for Hobi).
Actually, i don't get that people who comes up with theories coz it's all so obvious. You just can feel it.
But more than this, bighit releases HYYH notes with every album. Notes written by each character. That's where you can feel confused))) For example, they released Jin's notes before Answer album. And then it's happened that Epiphany mv kinda connected with that notes. This is so detailed and delicate, only for army.
Why are they confused? If you don't know any previous background info on the storyline, which is what about 90% of the people that first watched this gone through, then the storyline doesn't come obvious. This is very confusing actually because it's required lots of thinking and connections. You shouldn't be confused as to why people are confused cause that's only normal. Don't tell me when you first watched this you understood everything that was going on. Theories are because I think BTS paved this storyline as to however you want to interpret it

BTS NOTES
One thing i can recommend you to read are the notes. So there are notes of every character in this parallel universe of BTS and they have helped me understand more of the things that are going on in there. The originals of the notes are in korean, but you can find the english translations online (Wattpad for example). I hope they will help you!
Lol 😂😂😂😂 sorry Andrew I didnt mean to laugh but your reaction was hilarious because I reacted in the exact same way!! I had no idea what anything meant, so I went on google and read up on the storyline. Basically its hard to understand because a lot of stuff you see is symbolic. Its not really happening. Each member has their own story within the storyline. Shit happens to them basically. They are in danger and one member is trying to save them. I will only say this much for now. Would be cool tfor you to react to each solo song you encountered in the short films though. They are all amazing! ❤️
