What Elon is doing by not alerting employees that they've been laid off is _probably_ deliberate. Twitter can be held liable for compensation if they outright fire people, but _not_ if they resign. As someone who is disabled, this is disgusting, but this is the norm, unfortunately. Bosses never seem to believe disabled employees are working hard enough, even when we’re giving it 200%. It’s never enough. Elon is extra shitty for making fun of someone on Twitter for it though. That’s 100% true.
Hang in there, buddy. Fuck ableists.
The public humiliation part was insanely cruel.
Especially if you have a hidden disability or learning disability. My friend has pretty severe learning disabilities and she tries her absolute hardest to do well in her jobs but she often needs help with understanding simple things so the boss just assumes she isn't trying and fires her. Even worse when people assume your disability shouldn't effect you in a particular way, when it does. I struggle counting money sometimes due to ADHD (I lose count due to distraction) and I have been told by customers I am stupid. Granted they didn't know I was disabled but bruh, I literally just lost count, chill.

His thread had also been legally vetted. Notice how he was laying out the grounds for unfair dismissal, with his comments about being in contact with managers and HR. @@Imman1s The sixteen parties who have already filed lawsuits are ahead of the queue is my point. @@muchograndeyolatengo Agreed. The only way to accumulate such wealth would be hearing it for yourself inherently as there's finite amounts of money. But what I love about this guy is that he doesn't hoard it for himself, but rather utilises his wealth to help accommodate others. @@nonyabidness8676 I honestly wouldn’t put it past Elon trying to find some excuse to fire him and not pay the tens/hundreds of millions that he’s due. So now we can fire you without having to pay for your company.”
I’ve had some shifty bosses in my life. His exact words were, “Do you think it’s fair if the person who pays the most, doesn’t win?” And I immediately snapped back, “Yes. It’s a raffle, not an auction.” Our boss did NOTHING to stop the months of abuse and had the GALL to be upset when I handed my resignation to the owner with a long, detailed list of every offense and abuse that had multiple employees that witnessed the event, as well as a recording of the employee repeatedly telling me just how much he hated me.
If I had a boss who did what Elon has done to this man already, I’d be gone. If he fired him AGAIN, while also scamming him out of millions of dollars… All bets are off.

What Elon is doing by not alerting employees that they've been laid off is _probably_ deliberate. Twitter can be held liable for compensation if they outright fire people, but _not_ if they resign. They wrote the first part, but didn't send it. He definitely wrote the "True but not meaningful" bit.

“I could think through my actions and their consequences, but how can I pass up an opportunity to dunk on someone?”
Hits the rim and falls on his back.
And he chooses to dunk on the guy that made the platform he's actively shitting on.
Then his opponent casually makes a layup while he’s on the flower pissing and crying.
@BrisketVaushite he chooses the guy on the "do not fire" list 🤣
Elon, moments before disaster: "You know what's gonna be really cool? Going after Iceland Wheelchair Jesus."
Fun fact about Iceland. It’s electricity grid is entirely powered by geothermal energy. They have so much of it that citizens don’t have to pay for electricity.
This is incorrect. Our grid is powered by renewable energy, that’s true, but it’s both hydro and geothermal. And we do in fact have to pay for it. But I guess it’s way cheaper than most places, since we also use geothermal energy to heat our houses rather than gas or electricity.
Remember when elon promised to step down as ceo after a twitter poll?
As a severely disabled person I have to defend this brave man that somehow has a job even though it is almost impossible for him to function rapidly. He doesn't need a job, even if he couldn't work he should have gotten government services, not to live lavishly, but to make sure he lived with dignity. I usually support Elon in his ventures, but disabled people find it hard to be treated well by people with affluenza in general, who put us down as slackers who need a kick in the a** to set us strait, as if their words of disgust would allow us to be fit to be any more productive than this disabled man.
Then I hope you see Elon Musk for what he is: an egomanic who revels in cruelty.
With all of this bullshit going around, it's nice to actually read that all people deserve basic living conditions.
Can't wait to see if LegalEagle will cover this.
Musk waving that nda likely voided all of it.
I hope our boy runs with that
You know, there seems to be a pattern of Elon making “jokes” and the pretty quickly losing/risking losing a bunch of money. Curious.
CEO assumes his employee is bit his employees slanders him on Twitter until the lawyers scold him and he takes it all back. The onion article writes itself
The correct response to "I would like to apologize..." is "Go on then, please apologize."
I think we found the anti-musk: wealthy, willingly pays his fair share in taxes to give back to the systems that helped him, advocates for disabled people and has empathy. There is hope y'all.
Now 100 million plus all the fine for disclosing of confidential health and disability details of an employee who was harassed on a public social media platform. "screwed" is the best term that can be used to define Melon Husk 🍈
If he doesn’t try to sue Twitter / elon over this it will be such a missed opportunity to take some of that wealth and redistribute it
Wow, I never thought I would see a real Mega Chad vs Pathetic Chud match-up in real life. Gratz to Elon on the largest L since he was forced to buy Twitter. Bigger gratz to Halli on his new restaurant.
Elon Musk: Ha ! You're fired !!
Halli: Good.. Good..
HR: 🔥🔥🔥
Fun fact!! Halli is actually beloved by most Icelanders. According to Wikipedia: In March 2021, Haraldur helped launch a project called Ramp Up Reykjavík, a collaborative venture undertaken by local businesses, labour unions, government ministries, associations, banks, and city officials with the intention of helping local businesses install wheelchair ramps to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. After the project's success, a new project called Ramp Up Iceland was started with the intention of building 1,000 ramps around Iceland.
I suspected it was this guy but holy shit did Elon mess up badly because this guy is legit one of the best rich people I know about, literally making our country more accessible and actively making sure his taxes get paid AND THEN SOME.
My grandparents committed Sudoku. Logistical and honourable deaths they were.
He was already told he was fired, sounds like a done deal. He should force them to pay up and go
I'd guarantee you Elon couldn't write that apology himself. I can't believe he didn't make some lawyer or intern type it out onto his account for him before trying to pretend it didn't exist.
Watching Elon putting his foot on his mouth when trying and failing to outsmart him was satisfying.
The dude seems like a class act, the opposite of Elon.
This was actually covered on the Icelandic national news network, really good story
the audacity of Elon claiming that his former employee is not doing any work...
“Before lawyers get involved” vs. “After lawyers get involved”. 🤣🤣🤣
Visited Iceland last October and its probably the closest thing to a perfect country in this world
Question cause I've wanted to visit Iceland for a while. How many people know English? Do I need to learn Icelandic if I want to visit?
@@DeadlyTiger almost all of us (99.5%) speak english just fine. Learning a second and third language is mandatory.
dude can barely use his muscles but looks like he could easily beat elon in a fist fight
The world's richest man doing mean spirited insult humor is always a bad look. Would help if he was good at humor
His whole bit of humor is that he's smarter, and overall better, than you and he's smug about it. That is, until he does something like this, whines like a man-baby (Which is infinitely funnier than any joke he could make) and then forgets about it the next day.
@@PenthesiIea crying liberal girl meme is what he posts all the time
He's no longer the richest man after bleeding so much money. Prolly second, or third. Idk, he's still insanely rich, but less insanely rich
Yeah it is like those Karens trying to prove that women next to them is actual MAN! I mean what is your goal, what are the avenues to achive the goal and what would be the cost of achieving this goal? People think before acting!
@@filipmaly6603 But biological men can't be women. This is not something that needs proof. It's common sense if anybody is truly being honest with themselves.
