All incredible players in their college years. On to the pros. Some better than others but one helluva line-up of stars. Amazing game. MSU was tough as nails but we got it done.
Considering the Brewers keep making lame moves I don't see them sticking around the playoff hunt......AGAIN. I just hope they dont start "RE-BUILDING" again. Sorry but I remember going to 20+ games in 1977, 40+ games in 1978, and 30+ games in 1979. Kept in going until 1984 and high school hit. I agree winning has been sparce lately, BUT have faith I guess. I lost it in the Bucks then BAM, Giannis shows up and we damn near hit the big time. I get your frustration though. I said in another post that everytime the Badgers get close to #1, #2, or #3 they choke. It SUCKS. Honestly it seems that way here for all of our teams lately....so close yet just not enough. Yeah IT SUCKS!!!!
cpk1994 do you believe the famous michigan block punt makes up for that? It is really sad for the 2011 team, this team with Kirk Cousins and Leveon Bell was better than the 2015 team which struggled through the season against mediocre competion like rutgers and got exposed by Alabama. Dantonio’s best teams were 2013, 2014, 2011, and then 2015.
And when your rerun the replay you can see 96 and white clearly shoves our guy and takes away his angle which was in front of his foot and nowhere near his leg. The shove put him right into the leg. The flag should have been picked up. If a player is blocked he cannot be called for running into the kicker. He was clearly shoved out of his path
@@codybanks1942 Right on, and the punter was taught to flop just like the basketball team. Biggest acting job ever. Next to Duke, Wisconsin players were/are the biggest floppers.
The Badgers are known for insane Linebackers(JJ & TJ Watt), speed and powerful running backs, and a monster offensive line. I remember, well sort of we had a stretch where they averaged 6'3"-6'5" & 350lbs. AVERAGED....That's NUTS. But it's Badger football.
Wow M. Ball, J. White, R. Wilson, J. Abbrederis, N. Toon, that's just the offense. Not including that MONSTER O-LINE. This team could do it all. Throw or run, didn't matter. Weapons EVERYWHERE. So much fun to watch.
Great job Jacob! I've been waiting a long time for you to do a Badger game as one of your classics. I must confess that of all Wisconsin sports, they are who I live and die by. CAN'T WAIT FOR YOUR NEXT BADGER CLASSIC! In any case, this was arguably the high water mark for Bielema's time at Bucky. Higher scoring than I would like since I like D, but no real surprise since future NFL players were mainly on Offense. Bielema was Barry's hand picked successor, and to this point, the nest recruiter we ever had. But, he was no where near the game coach Barry was. If he was even close in this regard, that year's team with Wilson and the other future pros could have been National Champs. Instead, this game was the only close game we won that year (We lost to MSU during the regular season, a Meyerless OSU on probation, and Oregon in the Rose Bowl) Wilson pulled Bielema's fat out of the fire in this game, for I can't see how we win without him. And Wilson could very well be a future Hall of Famer (Heck, he's 2nd to Rivers in passing yards at NC St.[ He Played his first 3 seasons there]). And I will never comprehend why Bielema left us for Arkansas. Competing against Bama, Auburn, and LSU both in games and in recruiting seems a no win situation, and he got fired there. Alvarez learned that art of Big Game coaching from Lou Holtz at Notre Dame, but did not pass this on to Bret. Hopefully, Chryst figures this out with Mertz at QB.
Man I am so glad I subbed. You have so many awesome highlights. I have binge watched the Packers videos already and now I see Badgers highlights. This game vs. Michigan State was insane. This team took us to the limit. What a game, wow!
I remember watching this game live and thinking at the time that this was the greatest college footbalk game I had ever seen, and now almost a decade later I still feel the same way... Also, being a Penn State fan, I had seen LeVeon Bell before this game but this game in particular sold me on him...same with Russ....great game start to finish, this is what college ball is all about
Y’all better still be thanking your lucky stars we ruffed that punter. Keshawn took that back to the 1 yard like with 1:30 left in the ball game. Shame we had to lose this game. In my mind we deserved to win but hey a penalty is a penalty.
@@Bigwheel414 Uhh well we literally would have won the game if not for that call so yea imma blame it on that. Those examples aren’t game breaking mistakes, that play was.
You spartan fans remind me of the whiney utah jazz fans who still claim jordan pushed their guy for the game winner i lived in slc and heard everyday 1 play does not make or break an entire game
You can clearly see Number 96 for Wisconsin takes his hands and shoves the punt rusher out of his alignment he was going for the front of the foot and never would have even touched him had he not been shoved. That caused him to clip the punters leg a little bit. The rule states if you are shoved and pushed into the punter, it's not a penalty. But, that's what happens when you have clueless referees
IT wasn't a bs call. the MSU player clearly ran into the punter. As it is, Dantonio was a moron for calling for a punt block when his offense wasn't being stopped at all by that point. There was zero reason to try to block the punt when your offense was going up and down the field.
The amount of modern day prevalent players in this game is amazing
Russel Wilson, Kurt Cousins, LaVeon Bell, Monte Ball.... This was quite the matchup!
And James white was on Wisconsin too.

It’s Kirk Cousins
Haven’t rewatched this game in a decade. Wow what an epic.
My heart was racing this entire game. So glad we won. Good memories. I like when our sports teams win the big games unlike compared to now.

Your lucky we decided to ruff the punter. Especially since Keshawn Martin ran the punt back to the one yard line.
Duckworth. A name that hopefully never gets buried in Badger lore
Still the best Big Ten football conference championship game
I m partial to rhe 59-0 curb stopping that propelled OSU'S championship run myself.

Russell Wilson BABY! That was a great year.
Russell Wilson, Kirk Cousins, Le'Veon Bell, James White--Wow! Lots of NFL guys all over the place in this one. Classic
This game was insane so many big and crazy plays, awesome atmosphere, star power all around. Gus Johnson was phenomenal as always too.
The O line for the badgers I believe all went Pro....Alot of beef!!!

Too bad the defense wasn't as dominant as we have seen in other years. If that team had a better defense, they may have won the whole thing that year.
