      That's John and Paul on Guitars!
      I believe Paul is playing the Raga Lead Guitar passages.
      George Harrison only added a Harmony Vocal to Rain!
      You'd be staggered knowing how many Guitar solos were actually played by John and Paul on Beatles recordings!
      George Harrison always had difficulty working out a Guitar solo! It would drive Recording Engineer Geoff Emerick bonkers!
      During this period in 1966 was still playing pastische Rockabilly solos alá Scotty Moore and Carl Perkins.
      Paul McCartney plays the Guitar solo on Taxman!
      John and Paul were the true visionaries in The Beatles during the Revolver Sessions!
      Have you seen George try playing the Guitar solo on "Day Tripper" while on the 1966 tour? Simply atrocious!
      John Lennon played the Guitar solo on the studio recording.

    This is "Take 5 Rhythm Track" which consisted of John and Paul on Guitars and Ringo on Drums and slowed down to the speed on the official Single "B" Side release "before" the Lead Vocal, Harmony Vocals, Bass and Tambourine were added!

      @@thebeatlesraretracks3969 I'm totally disgusted with what Giles Martin did!
      He overdubbed Paul's Bass and falsely called it "Actual Speed" on the re-release of the "Revolver" album!
      It is not the actual speed of the "Take 5 Rhythm Track"!
      I don't appreciate someone coming along and distorting Beatles history!
      First of all, the track is ridiculously too fast! It sounds like cartoon music!
      He added Paul's Bass which was overdubbed later "after" Take 5 was slowed down!
      I own a bootleg 4 CD set called "The Beatles The Revolver Sessions" which has the correct "Take 5 Rhythm Track" on it. It clocks in at 2:50.
      It is slower and sounds great!
      What Giles should have done was stay true to Beatles history and simply released this upload complete and uninterrupted!
      This upload is what "Take 5 Rhythm Track" sounded like when it was slowed down "before" John added his Lead Vocal, John, Paul and George added their three part Harmony Vocals, Paul added his Bass and Ringo added his Tambourine.
      I've always wanted to own the slowed down "Take 5 Rhythm Track"!
      Giles Martin has made a mess of The Beatles back catalog!
      Just because he's George Martin's son, does not qualify him to be afforded the job of remixing The Beatles priceless back catalog!

    I think this isn't "Take 5 Monitor Mix"...
    (in fact this is not a "Monitor Mix" - The Mixes where made from "Take 7" wich include Harmony Vocals).
    This looks more like a "Rear Channel" from a multitrack song used for Guitar Hero.
    On other video, posted as "Take 4".. looks again as a backing track obtained from a multitrack used for Guitar Hero.
    Since the release of Guitar Hero... a lot of "outfakes" have appeared promoted as "outtakes".
    But actually being the official multitrack songs.

    It's cool listening to "Take 5" after it was slowed down but before overdubs were added!
    Those Guitars played by John and Paul are very Psychedelic and hypnotic!
    It's nice listening to this take before Paul McCartney overdubbed his overplayed and overbearing Bass runs!

  • @RaulMacias-o9o
    @RaulMacias-o9o 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    This is "Take 5 Rhythm Track" slowed down to the speed on the official release minus the Vocals, Bass, Tambourine, Lead Vocal and Harmony Vocals! Very clever!
    I've always wanted a slowed down version of Take 5 before the overdubs because of those Guitars and Drums!
    "Take 5 Rhythm Track" consisted of John and Paul on Guitars and Ringo on Drums played at a quicker tempo.
    When the Rhythm Track was slowed down to give a lethargic feel, the Lead Vocal, Harmony Vocals, Paul's Bass and Tambourine were dubbed on.
    Giles Martin's "Actual Speed" Take 5 on the Revolver re-release, with Paul's Bass dubbed in, is much too fast! It's ridiculous!
    George Harrison only contributed a Harmony Vocal and doesn't play Guitar on Rain.
    I've always thought George was playing that "Raga" Lead Guitar but it's either John or Paul.
    I personally believe it's Paul. John is playing powerful Rhythm Guitar!
    Interestingly, Paul has never taken credit for the Lead Guitar passages on Rain. It could be John with Paul switching to playing Rhythm Guitar.
    I've always believed Paul should have been The Beatles Lead Guitarist and George Harrison play Bass.
    You'd be surprised learning how many Guitar solos were actually played by John and Paul!
    George Harrison was a very weak Guitar improviser up to 1968.

    • @davecostello560
      @davecostello560 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      He wasn't weak, he was at a disadvantage in that Paul could work everything out in advance in his head, and knew exactly what he wanted. George took more time to work something good out, and Paul was simply too impatient!

      @@davecostello560 Have you ever seen George try and replicate the Guitar on Day Tripper in "Live" performance? It's simply awful!
      John Lennon played the Guitar solo on Day Tripper on the studio recording.
      George didn't seem to care how awful he played in concert.
      I noticed George could never replicate the Guitar solo on I Saw Her Standing There on stage! He'd play a generic solo.

    • @davecostello560
      @davecostello560 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      George could be quite perverse about his Beatle history. Maybe he deliberately chose not to be sacrosanct about those solos, whereas other guitarists would have tried to get close to the originals. I've not seen the performances you refer to though.

    • @RaulMacias-o9o
      @RaulMacias-o9o 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@davecostello560 Heck, the Guitarist in "The Fab Four" plays Beatles guitar solos than George ever did!
      I don't know, in retrospect Paul McCartney should have really been The Beatles Lead Guitar player.
      Have you listened to the new Stereo mix of "She Said She Said"?
      It exposed some truly sloppy playing by George Harrison.
      I sometimes feel George took his being a Beatle for granted. He was always complaining about it.
      He admitted that he never practiced!
      George is very lucky that he knew Paul McCartney because there were many Guitarists that were better and would have loved to be in The Beatles!
