My EMT Go Bag

  • As a licensed emergency medical technician (EMT) carrying the life-saving tools I am trained to use is a no-brainer. Check out every part of my emergency medical services (EMS) bag and learn more about the tools EMTs use on a regular basis.
On a different note, after passing EMT school it's my opinion that everyone should take at least a basic CPR/first aid class. These classes are put on all over the U.S. (and world) and the content is truly life-saving. The American Red Cross, American Heart Association, and local fire/ems departments tend to put on these basic, one-day classes at least once a month.

Thank you for this video! I have a “basic” first aid kit that I keep with my disaster preparedness supplies, but I have always wanted to make what you have. During our local fire department’s presentation on being prepared, they stressed that even though I might not know how to address the major medical scenarios resulting from a disaster, someone else might(my neighbor is a surgeon). A worse scenario would be EMTs that do arrive on scene might be running low on their own supplies. Videos like this provide a good starting point.

@@matzmopar1 Ehhhhhhh half correct. It's not that we can't use autoinjectors, however we aren't supposed to administer our own/the department's. It has to be prescribed to the patient you are treating. As for the combitube, yeah that's a no-go for an EMT-B.
