- Finally finished up this little piece, kinda fitting it comes out on the month that Forces did XD I've long hated what Tails has become in the games and wanted to give this a rewrite, I hope you enjoy!

I can never see myself writing a video about Tails, or even make Sonic content anymore. But I'm glad Sonic content creators like you are still out there, trying to fix what was broken.

I wish the game had been more like this! It made no sense for Tails to be so weak and helpless when he’s been an excellent fighter and resourceful on his own in the past.

you know what? im just gonna pretend that this is canon. This was amazing and did the story justice. The voice acting and dude the animation, especially for classic sonic was all perfect i love your channel so much

It's sad when fans know WAY more about these characters then Sega and Sonic Team.
If you played Sonic Adventure 1 & 2. Sega/Sonic Team did knew what they were doing back then with Tails.

What Forces should’ve been but SEGA decided to play it a bit TOO safe.
Then again knowing the Sonic fan base they’d all criticize SEGA for taking Sonic into a “darker toned direction” if they didn’t play it safe.

True. Exactly, it's the fans (and the rush) who prevented Sega from being audacious.
But with what Frontiers gave to us, there's hope to see scenes like that! :D

This is *exactly* what Tails *should’ve been like* in Sonic Forces along with his story and Knuckles’ story. I did not know what the game developers were thinking when they made Sonic Forces. When ruining the gameplay, character development, and destroying Tails’ personality makes me wanna hate Forces for any given reason. I guess they never learned what Tails and Knuckles have been through with their own stories in Sonic Adventure. I remember where Tails went up against Chaos 4 and obliterated the living crap out of him, but I don’t think the developers remembered it. I definitely prefer Mania over Forces, but if there is ever a Sonic Adventure remake, I hope it’s everything what we wanted from the original version.
This video means a lot to me. Thank you for making this.

And Sonic actually looks like he's been tortured for months in this.
Edit: Someone should make a mod to replace the "Sonic, help me!" cutscene with this video, even if it'd be out of place.
Edit 2: I just realised that this video is also more consistent with the way Classic Sonic enters the portal in the True Ending of Sonic Mania.
The problem is that Tails is a kid,he has never fight with Chaos, only if Knuckles and Sonic with him.He afraid that he can fail everyone, afraid he can die.He doesn't remember Classic Sonic, because that Sonic is not from Generations.He is from Sonic Mania.That's why Tails doesn't remember him.
Sonic is like Spider -Man.His jokes is defensive reaction.The torments can be different: physical and psychological.Maybe Sonic feel psychological torment, because Eggman taked over the world.But his jokes helps him, like Spiderman
@@Kirilltv818 Sega have more recently said there is no Classic dimension, Classic Sonic is from the past, and Sonic Mania and Superstars are now set before Sonic Adventure instead.
Also, Tails does remember Classic Sonic in Sonic Forces.
And while Tails hasn't fought Chaos alone, I think he's fought stronger foes than Chaos 0 alone.

And now this is what Tails should've been in the game. In fact, he should've been playable instead of Classic Sonic.
Logan Pettit You know having Tails be playable but also have Classic Sonic follow him in stages like Tails followed Sonic in Sonic 2 would've been interesting. Tails by this point in time has a lot more experience than Classic Sonic and should know better what to do, it makes sense for him to lead here and we could've gotten some interesting interactions and character growth with Tails having to lead Sonic like that.

This was amazing. One thing I was actually considering for a few months now, was rebuilding Sonic Forces from the ground up. This video inspired me to want to make it a reality. I like the way you adjusted the story. Maybe in the eventual future when I'm more along the development, maybe I could have you re-write the story, if it's not too much trouble. I just thought I''d ask since you're writing is excellent.
More like I want to fix Sonic Forces and make it more like what want it. Story and gameplay. Kinda like what the game should've been. A story with more depth, but not too edgy like Shadow the Hedgehog, or too cringy like most modern sonic games are these days. The gameplay will be an attempt at mixing the boost-to-win and the adventure style of gameplay. It'll take a long time, but I hope to make the game that we wanted a year ago.
Another incredible work finally completed! It was once again such a great pleasure offering any help I could with this and watching its progress through all this time! Through this, you've really given Tails the justice he needs and this makes me incredibly hyped for the projects to come heheh!
I actually hissed through my teeth at the bone crack sound effect because it was just so perfectly placed XDD I don't think I've gotten to commenting on this but I'm really impressed by your sound editing, it's always been incredibly good and every sound effect you use just works so darn well XD

I always thought tails was afraid of chaos in forces because he thought his friend was actually dead 😐 but I like the more in depth version of this on what happened like an extended version and having to see tails true colors of course. Hopefully tails would be cooler in TSR and so on

I love how Tails took Classic Sonic under his wing like a sidekick. You know this could of been what Sega intended for Sonic Forces but was executed badly. I think sense he’s more of a support kind of hero now a days it makes sense he wouldn’t fight back anymore plus he was under depression. Either way this was amazing!

Tails isn't as strong as the other character of course, but that does not mean he can't put up a fight. I believe that by using his intelligence he could plan ahead as well, the biggest problem is that the focus went too much on his supportive side on the newer games.
You did a awesome job, I just wish Sega took into account you and other fans and began developing a new Sonic game with a good direction by taking inspiration and ideas from the community.

If anyone is truly to be feared by all as Fear Itself, it is definitely Tails. His need to sacrifice someone dear to him is what made his victory over Dark Oak a very horrifying moment for every Dark Lord to fear more than anything.

See. This is what Forces should of been. You nailed Tails' personally, and the fight was actually really well done!
You know, the only complaint I really have about these videos is that the tail-motions are completely disconnected from emotions. At the beginning when Tails is working on Omega, his tails move in an idle way instead of a depressed, sad way. When he sees Chaos for the first time, there's absolutely no change. No stiffening or a snap-like movement to show surprise. Really that could use improvement, though I know it would take some extra work.

I played the classic sonic games sonic adventure and heroes I know Tails knows how to fight and he took on Chaos at a harder stage then his starting form so why did he pussy out when confronted by chaos in the game why does sonic team insist on making tails look like a bitch!

Also you had the best idea for Sonic's torture, I never could think of something that wasn't too dark but a little brutal, Sonic getting beaten up by robots is such a simple idea that I feel stupid for not thinking of it.
No offense but I think the Chaos fight could've been a bit better and I wish Tails was the one to defeat the Phantom Chaos but that's just a nitpick, this is still 10 times better than what we got from Forces.
Anyways, great job.
Also, before I finish, how do you think Tails should be written, heck, I got a lot of ideas how Cream's character can be handled in a story but I for some reason don't know how Tails could be, don't know why, I have some good ideas on how he can play in Sonic games but in terms of story I wouldn't know what to do with him, although that's not saying I'm a writer. a kind hearted two tailed fox who is smart and has many gadgets, how do you think Tails should be written in a story?

Well, lemme see
I think a fight should show off a character's abilities, show what they can do, Tails can use his Tails to slice n swipe his enemies, he can spindash and he has a lot of bombs on em, I guess but I think I'm fine with this fight in particular just being physical, Chaos has a lot of abilities as well, he can detach parts of himself and other stuff but most of Chaos' attacks are liquid based and I don't know much about animating but animating some of Chaos' attacks could be quite a task, using his elastic arms is just fine, glad it was used in this animation.
I think characters finding creative ways to fight their opponents is what makes a good fight, using the environment to one's advantage, tricking an enemy by messing with them or frustrate them, knowing an enemy's weaknesses, that kinda thing
That's all I got, guess I could also say Tails' battle with Chaos was too short
Anyways, I don't like criticizing things (unless it's Sonic Team), this is an amazing animation in my opinion and work was put into it and I don't think I should be one to say what this fight's missing considering, I am not a writer although I wanna become one, or an animator or anything like that, I hope this feedback was helpful though.
