    In slicer format pane we have three options are there single-select,multi-select,select all. As per requirement I understand easy way too do that. Create a visual and bring the total sales,year put on the visual. After that enable the multi select feature and select any years in slicer then appears two years data here.

    Seems simple, but my data have already assigned datetime and do not have separate Calendar. Would there be better way of doing it without having separate Calendar table?

    Hi there, in conditional formatting, how can we compare one cell to another cell? So for example I want to highlight a cell, if the number of another cell is the same as the first cell. If it is lower or greater than the second sell, it should have another color.

    My data is time series data, and I am using a line chart. However, I used the average function the calculate function, because POWERBI said that I need to have a aggregate function. I'm getting same value for all time periods, as it's calculating average of entire period, and giving out same value for every datestamp

    How do I compare 2 years/month data i.e. year 2018 data with 2021 data having multiple datasets on single page? If there is a solution please reply .

    Hi! thanks for your video. Although the compare year doesn't react when we click on other parts of the report for example if I click on January then my regular amount will change to display only the amount of Janurary while the compare colomn still shows the full year. Do you know how this compare year can exist and still be responsive? :)

    Good explanation. I want two years comparison based on single year selection and need to show the year dynamically in x axis. If I select 2020 in slicer, I want to show 2020 sales and 2019 sales, with the year 2020, 2019 in x axis. How to do this?

    Hi! thanks for your video. it's really helpful but what I want is that, when I select more than two years in targeted slicer then it will break that green bar into two years means it will display 2 years of data in one bar. is that possible?

    Hi mam, your videos are much understandable.
    this is a new measure
    previous year sales= calculate('FactInternetsales' [Total sales], DATEADD('calender'[date],-1,year))
    after this, if you put year slicer, it will not only shows the previous year sales generated and you can select the year from year slicer whatever year that you want. then it will easy right?

    • @TheHimaBindu
      @TheHimaBindu  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats right. What ever year you select in the slicer you get the measure value changed for previous year

    • @umeshtompe4604
      @umeshtompe4604 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes...but margin is for only one previous year..which is present in dax..but method used in video is more dynamic... thank you for such a nice explanation Hima

    But why if there are more than 2 year than sameperiodlastyear function gives incorrect value? And if there are only 2 year like 2019 and 2020 then it gives correct value.
