    39:15 I was so disappointed when he didn't say "black is not a bro, he's a pro"

    I love Legend88 games. They always look so simple and beautiful and make me wonder why I can't play that way :-)

    Glad you found more legend 88. Such basic but devastating play. Looking forward to the rest

    Ooooh, Legend88 is back ! And I guess with twelve ko exchanges, 40-ish dead white stones, a loose ladders and the prettiest shapes of all, it's a good comeback. Can't wait for the rest of them !

    I had absolutely no idea that a legend88 game was going to be posted 🤯

    An influence strategy in a diagonal game works only if you're Takemiya Masaki (specially his games against 9ps when he was 5p) ;)

    My first "Legend88" episode. Love it, great at tying concepts together.

    Legend 88 ... such an amazing style. Thanks for sharing the games.

    I really enjoy Legend88's solid style. Reminds me of a video @dwyrin did a few years ago about a player on Tygem called Subsonic who also had solid play. Need to find a way to get SGFs from Tygem!

    Woah . I would never play Q15. To me it just looks like heavy and awkward shape. I guess I still have lots to learm

    The only equivalent to this game I can come up with is a chain saw massacre ...

    I love your Legend88 videos, so this is great news. Out of curiosity, where do you find these?

    • @dwyrin

      Cant anymore. I downloaded his entire game history long time ago before he stopped playing on it and the account was deleted.

      @@dwyrin i see. So the site he played on had the ability to download it which is no longer an option. Its a shame. My personal opinion is that his play is similar to Go Seigan or Shusaku in that it is more than just skillful play. He beats people with style.

    Seeing half of white groups killed made me remember these pros are still human.... when this happens to me I feel really bad like "how the hell cant I even have 2 groups alive"

    At 20:00 is allowing black to live in the corner better for white than the actual variation, is it worse, or is it even?
    My take is that allowing black to live in the corner is better, because blacks p15 group will be weaker. Maybe, they can get a profitable attack, or sente? It would of definitely helped in the ko fights, because when black won the ko, white lost the majority of their aji. Also, it keeps white with a strong group that can easily gain influence. Thank you!

    Yeah these games are just not fun to watch anymore. I can imagine the gloating look on that arrogant Pro's face at the end. We are talking about a man (woman?) who chooses to stay at a rank of 5-Dan just so they can sandbag the absolute $hit out of amateurs. His account needs to be trolled severely.

    • @cteixeirax
      @cteixeirax 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      On Tygem you don't automatically get pro ranking, pros have to make a normal account and work their way up like anyone else. Usually they just outread and kill their opponent to end the game as quick as possible but Legend88 played patient and basic. Sanctimony + ignorance is an ugly combination.

    • @zimmicks3170
      @zimmicks3170 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cteixeirax Nothing about this game is basic. The opponent never stood a chance regardless.
