Be careful with the Top Tec 4100, its not safe with DPF's. It is suitable for alternative fueled CNG and LPG vehicles. If you want to use the 5w-40, as LRtime recommends, use the Castrol Magnitec DPF 5w-40. Good job!

It's extremely hard/expensive to get the Magnatec here in Canada, so that's why I run the Liquid Moly. Have you heard anything good about Motul?

@@BuildTinker-l4f I agree.... Its also hard to get in USA. I have looked at the MOTUL 8100 X-CLEAN 5W-40, it is safe for DPF, but it is mid sap's. I believe it would be my choice. I currently use the Mobil ESP 5w-30. I have been waiting for a good alternative, looks like its going to be Motul.

@, how is it? I had a 30 weight and the startups were noisy and clunky. As soon as I went to the 40 that was gone.
An update, I switched to the Mobil Delvac 0w-40 as it’s the only one I could find local that was within the spec (FORD WSS-M2C171-F1) and so far so good!

@ so far so good. i’ve always use the LR C1 Castrol and was recommended by a friend to use the ravenol. not much ticking sound on startup. supposed to help with DPF which is crucial living in a city that’s the disco is always in traffic
