If you prefer the visuals, gacha aspects and want to be able to catch up a bit quicker I recommend Shining Nikki, the game is out for a few years and keeps evolving in graphics and designs. If you prefer the farming and collecting aspect I recomment Love Nikki. The events are different (SN is mostly Gacha) and there are so many suits you can craft and honestly in my opinion the outfits you can make there are more versatile, since SN limits the amount of accessoirs you can put. But LN had been out for nearly a decade, catching up might be very frustrating if you plan on getting a big wardrobe. Hope that helps you decide! 💙
