Iv been trucking for 35 yrs and I’m retiring this year due to in cab technology. I don’t do silly things whilst driving but a cam watching me in the cab is the final straw for me. There is more than enough stress whilst driving trucks these days without this crap basically spying on you. So off into the sunset I go, goodbye trucking. Living on your nerves every shift , afraid to move in the cab …… nahh. I don’t think so.
They are breaking the law if they keep monitoring you. They can only check footage, even pictures if there's been an accident/incident or they have a good reason to suspect you are doing something wrong. Otherwise it's invasion of your privacy.
I guess I don't really mind I always just say unless you have something to hide what's the problem? Yes it would be nice not to have but it's there for everyone really.
