    Thanks Dave for this review. As a senior golfer I bought the 14 degree driver with the Maltby M890 LT shaft in A flex. I am now hitting my driver with a much higher ball flight that with my previous driver - Taylormade M2. IMHO Maltby clubs are great value for money and at least as good as all the expensive name brands.

    Thanks for the review of a (previously to me) unknown brand name. I also appreciate your style of review - where I was able to get your feel of the club both the positive and not. More quantitative data would have been helpful, especially when you compared it to the KE4, but also with competitive clubs which are for the same audience - such as Ping. Good luck on your channel.

    Great review as always. I know you said that you were injured, BUT, for what it’s worth, I thought your swing looked good. Feel better & thanks for the review. By the way, your review led to me building an ST2 driver & fairway woods & love them

      Thanks! And good to know the swing looks good even though it doesn't feel good! The Stw2 driver and woods are great performers and a great value.

    Thanks for the review and I hope your hip gets better. Before I got to test my own M890 driver, I developed carpal tunnel in both my wrists moving heavy cabinets. Looking forward to healing and trying it out. I got the 12 degree paired with an NV Green in regular. Hoping the slightly closed face helps straighten my flight from my usual tendency to fade. Hopefully it has the slight correction attributes I've enjoyed with my Ping K12 SF-Tec, also 12 degree with a low-mid flight shaft.

    Really enjoying your input on the various Maltby offerings. If you were a beginner, would this be the driver head you'd go for or the STw2? I have a decent set of irons and want to build a few inexpensive woods and driver. Thanks.

      I think this one slightly edges out the Stw 2. A little more forgiving in my opinion. And I like the looks better. Also, just my subjective opinion!

    I know the pain of lower extremities all too well. I have pins in my one knee and a deformity from birth in the left. Needless to say at 55 I can't walk more than 9 holes on a flat course. Hope the hip(s) get better very quickly.

      Thanks Anthony. Sorry to hear that but glad you are able to play. I miss walking but hope next year I'll be able to walk the course.

    Hi Dave, thanks for the reviews. How would you compare the M890 to the ISO-T?

    • @fit2yougolf926
      @fit2yougolf926  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh boy, that's a tough one since it's been a while since I've hit the ISO. I think I liked the sound of the ISO better, and perhaps a softer feel? However, I think I had more positive conclusions about the M890. My favorite is still the KE4 TC though!

      @@fit2yougolf926 Thanks. I am playing the m890 irons well, but struggling to keep my KE4 tc driver in bounds. Looking for the most forgiveness in a Maltby driver.

      @@sloppytypist I think your best options are the M890 or the STw2.

    How many heads have you every cracked in the course of normal play?
    For me (and I am not a super long hitter by any means) in my 20+ years of swinging 400cc+ drivers of many makes - I have not broken a single one! Well, not exactly - I did crack a head once. It was at a Chicago area covered double tiered heated driving range in the winter and the retrieved range balls were frozen solid! So I would not really count that as an equipment failure.
    With that being said, when I read the reviews (with pictures) of cracked Maltby heads I am concerned.
    Do you think these are anomalies or more like abuse? Thanks in advance...

    • @fit2yougolf926
      @fit2yougolf926  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      John, I've never cracked the head of any club, Maltby or otherwise. The only examples of cracked heads I've seen are from lots of use and subsequent fatigue of the metal face. No Maltby club I've ever built has been returned due to a crack. So in my opinion, those results you see posted are not typical.
