the concept is built into their lore! the first 7 albums were introducing us to the history of the characters, but now they are finding themselves in a more modern setting (though louis knows all of their histories as he is immortal). honestly this mv is one of the most packed with their lore! it only looks like the concept changed from an outside perspective, but really it's more of a scene change in the overall story. thanks for the reaction!
The concept remains the same. Only this season the atmosphere is more current. According to what GF and the members of Kingdom themselves said, They don't remember that they are kings, only Louis knows. At first GF said that he had the story planned for 32 albums so we have a concept for a long time to come.
I can't lie; as a predebut Kingmaker, I was a little worried about the new direction music/stylewise. However, Flip The Coin talks a a bit about it and says basically, 'yeah, we're turning into something new, just hang on for the ride and trust us'. And it SLAPS. The entire mini-album is freaking incredible. I trust these boys. They have yet to steer me wrong. I loved it.
They didn't change the concept its the future louis was immortal so he was fighting by himself after they all survived He knew they would meet again in one time space and that was earth but the other members dont remember their powers and so theyre slowly remembering their powers in the midst of chaos happening
Others already told you a bit but FYI a bit more, Louis is the vampire king, and he is the only one that lives on with past memory, still remembering their mission. An interesting scene you would see is that Louis is crossed-leg in a sofa reading a book while others are doing something else in the room, this directly refers to a scene in Long Live The King, which is Louis's song, where he was doing the same. Also he was the one in the MV that has a direct scene pinching a coin and looking at it, while he does the same to a chip in Long Live The King as the time stops on others. Not sure about what the "villain self" in this video stands for yet, we'd probably gonna find out later
Oh my gosh... Your reactions are always the best 🤌 thank you for this video! (the concept change was explained in other comments to i wont explain it so long again but) this is not unexpected actually, this is the original continuation of the lore! Every king except the immortal king Louis (and our poor king chiwoo who left the group - he gave his mission to king hwon for him to continue) were reincarnated and King Louis brought them together around music and dance, this is how they became The KingDom! (ofc its also because its hard for everyone to search their name, and since they are starting a new season they decided to change it) as you said, many kingmakers say that they miss the old concept, which is acceptable of course, but that was history of kingdom and now, we are seeing the kings in present time! they don't remember that they were kings and they had powers but... we are guessing that the hoodie versions of them in this mv are trying to make them remember? i thought Louis was going to make them remember but i am not sure after seeing the mv haha :') it's still a bit confusing for me..
Thank you for the reaction! The rebrand is great imo but also this comeback is diff beacause it is the start of their second season! Since they have pre planned lore they have seasons to go with it. The last seven albums were historical because it was the history of each king but now its about them in a more present time trying to regain their memories with the help from louis! ✨i think its such a great concept ✨
the concept change caught me off guard at first, but after watch the mv a few times i'm really digging it. i'm curious where they're going to go with it in the future if they stick with it and just excited to see what all these boys bring us in the future
Could the capitalization be to not be sued or another reason? I don’t know that’s why I was curious as well. I’m fine with being educated if anyone knows thank you 😊

This MV is PACKED with lore, and it’s driving all of us Kingmakers crazy with questions.
