Sic video bro. I love the level of detail you went into and showed all of us. There aren't many top level producers out there that are prepared to show their processing chains let alone the actual plugins used. So massive respect to ya for letting us budding producers see how a top level pro does it 🙌🙌🙌🔥🔥🔥
trying to switch up the youtube game!
100% agree! Dope tutorial
This video is gold!!
I can’t give this video enough likes. Thanks, Westend!
Your track Running hit me so so hard, I have even cried to it! Amazing!
i love that you took into account people playing this song on instagram and macbooks. you're a genius and a great teacher!
..one of the best tech house tutorials ever, respect
Sawtooth wave :) Thank you for tips!
Amazing insight!! MORE
Definitely one of the most fast paced, no bs, informative and easy to follow style of track breakdowns out there! Keep it up mate TNX!
THANKS A LOT, that helped me to switch into the jenre and make a decent tech house bass and drums, I wish all producers to be so detailed in their tutorials as you! It is really very very important to show particular samples of everything, sample selection is a key
come check out www.kick-bass.com for more tutorials
Thank you for making these fr 🙏🏻

@@damgoneplatinum Haha, it's up to five now. Maybe his sister joined in?
So many ideas after watching this on how to work my songs. Thanks so much for the walkthroughs man.
One of the best tutorials I've ever seen! As a teacher and producer, I can't rate this enough. I love your articulation and explanation, not just technically but also creatively and the meaning behind and song. Well done mate!
Thank you for the walk-through and congratulations with an excellent track! 🤩
I love you man. You noticed me when I waved at you at this years EDC during Noizu and Acraze’s b2b set. Pretty cool since I follow your music and tutorials and watching you up on stage made my night.
More of those videos 🙌🏽
Now that’s a proper breakdown 👏🏼👏🏼
Kick and bassline drive the record then with the vocal on top of it what a perfect fit! Nice work Westend, keeping it basic, less is more and this record def bumps!
Loved this tutorial man! Your breakdown was very intuitive and it showed that the foundation of a top track does not need expensive plugins. You are a mastermind with your creative arrangement and automation skills. Keep doing more of these!
Appreciate the kind words
Wow! It's Audeze! Cool!
So happy when I seen this! Love this guy 🔥🔥🔥
I don't understand English, but i understend all in this video! You're good man!

Dope as the previous ones! Thanks for share mate!
Boom
you're a legend for doing these videos. always wanted to know what goes into producing a tech house track and this is the perfect break down. also, love the new track 'perfect', would be sick if you did one on that as well. either way keep it up, you're smashing it!
I did it in my discord! actually running a remix contest rn for it www.kick-bass.com
you give some of the clearest tips and tricks i've found so far, thanks for making this!
Can’t stop playing this song 🔥. If you can you should do a video just on automation ! You’re a good teacher 👍
The best part of this vid is the Vocal and Synth call and response...pro tips right there... next vid suggestion.. arrangement for house Music compared to a regular pop song structure..what part you call chorus..bridge...etc..like what parts are considered for chorus and bridge and what not
Thank you man! i feel like if you watch my other two videos where i make a song from scratch you can some goo automation techniques
@@itsthewestend hahaha..already watched them when they came out.. I got you on the bell 🔔..lol

Hahaha that and setting up kick&bass going to try to post more regularly on youtube tho!
I'm actually surprised by how well the shifted vocal fits as based on what you were trying to achieve. Audio processing software is getting fucking crazy these days.
Nothing a little formant shifting cant help with
Great video, thanks a lot!

Respect!!!!

its in my discord www.kick-bass.com
Hi Westend. thank you for the tutorials. how can I find your famous vocal rack? I saw on Zen world's video you got a dope rack. where can we find it?
I usually don't comment on videos, but your tutorials are too good not to! So simple and easy to understand. You should definitely be charging money for them... lucky you are not lol. Keep up the good work! 🔥🔥🔥
cine check out www.kick-bass.com most of my content is there and i give people feedback on their music
@@itsthewestend I had checked it already before, and I'm acutally very interested. Especially for the feedbacks and 1-on-1, but I'm currently unemployed due to covid lockdowns, and I need to save money, unfortunately. If the basic plan had the standard features I would finitelly sign up. Maybe in a near future :). But thanks anyway! Cheers man!
@@RafaelGrilli Yet you told him it would be good to charge money? lol
goat🐐
nice and clear turtorial! Are you also using Splice hats or top loops from other artist when you bring that song out on a label?
yes
@@itsthewestend but I reckon you make them better offcourse. Thank you for your answer! Nice new release on D4 D4NCE! Keep it up westend
Thanks for the great vid again. Do you think the kick & bass tutorials would be good for a total beginner? Or is it meant more for intermediate?
i think its better for people that can make at least a full track in ableton
@@itsthewestend Ok thanks, hoping to work up my skills and then I'd get it
I own the same Headphones, They sounds REALLY g. If you are using them alone please try the Sienna from Acustica Audio, really recommended. Your mixes sounds absolutely great in any case!
LCD 2 classic or are these the lcd x ? :)
brother i don't know know. They looks near identically. the ones I owns are the X creator edition@@contiii5260
Top content
Great video! What is the name of the headphones you are using?
Audeze LCD-X
hey Tyler, What serum patch did you use for the pre drop sweep? i hear that kind of bass sound in a few tracks but i cant get a name for it lol. James Hype uses it alot too.
I belive its a reverse synth sound from splice! You can head to my discord and download the project file and see for yourself.
Love this tutorial and track, thank you for sharing Westend ! I was curious how do you add those tags by the beat time ruler naming the sections (Build Up1 / Drop 1 / ETC)
Look up youtube time stamps
@@itsthewestend Found it! Thanks my man
This tut are very nice and so much informative.
I also looking for the Chanel reez the fawn but I think that's not the right name I cant find him
Reid Stefan and thank you for the comment!

Where can I find this 53:21 Niles preset? I saw it in a KSHMR video but I can't find it.
tbh not sure i think i got it from CID
@@itsthewestend thnx.
hey Westend, thank you for this video!! appreciate it.
My question is, do you have ur kickbass the same key as the sub?
usually same scale, not always the same exact note tho cause sometimes the kick needs to be lower down on the octave to pack more punch
